The first thousand two hundred and sixty-nine chapters obey the tradition

"Haha, we finally captured these two four-horned deer alive. Our mission this time was accomplished, and the most unexpected thing was that no one was injured in this mission.

Huang Qiang, this time, you can catch the four-horned deer with zero casualties, all rely on the solutions you have come up with. If you didn’t lure these two four-horned deer in the forest and consume the true energy in their bodies completely, it would be impossible for us to catch the four-horned deer like this. Huang Qiang, this time, you are the top skill!"

Sheng Zheng praised Huang Qiang with joy. He was able to capture the four-horned deer with zero casualties. The ninth floor was all Huang Qiang's contribution. Therefore, Sheng Zheng directly gave Huang Qiang his first contribution, which Huang Qiang deserved.

After hearing Sheng Zheng's praise and the rewards made, Huang Qiang's heart almost bloomed. He could not have imagined that his temporary intention could achieve such a good effect, and he captured the four-horned deer with zero casualties.

However, Huang Qiang is not the kind of guy who will be rampant when he succeeds. Therefore, facing Sheng Zheng's praise, Huang Qiang replied modestly: "General, you are really over-reward. This time, he was able to capture the four-horned deer with zero casualties, and it is up to everyone's concerted efforts. If it weren't for everyone's support for me and I had no worries, I would have the confidence to bring the four-horned deer around the forest. Therefore, General, this time his first achievements belong to everyone."

Huang Qiang's answer was very modest, which made Sheng Zheng very satisfied, because if a person wants to achieve something in the end, he must know how to share, not how to share, and only think about the person who monopolizes. In the end, there will be no great achievements.

Huang Qiang was able to refuse to give him such great contributions to his head and put his head on everyone's heads. Such a big belly fully demonstrates Huang Qiang's future prospects are bright!

"Huang Qiang, don't refuse the first merit this time. In the army, it should be yours, it is yours, we are not a government department. There is no falsehood.

It is indeed very vain to do things in government departments today, but such things cannot be tolerated in the military.

The army is the last line of defense to defend the country, and it is not allowed. It cannot happen that things are very weak. Therefore, Huang Qiang, don’t refuse this merit, because this is what you deserve. When soldiers are fighting for honor, they should take the initiative."

Sheng Zheng's words sound like he was teaching Huang Qiang a lesson. In fact, Sheng Zheng said this to cultivate Huang Qiang, because only those who truly care about you and want your goodness will give you sincere opinions.

"Yes, General, Huang Qiang understands that Huang Qiang will never let the general down!" Huang Qiang stood at attention and replied loudly. He was a smart person. Of course, he could hear the cultivation of himself in Sheng Zheng's words. For Sheng Zheng's cultivation of him like this, Huang Qiang had nothing to say, but to be loyal to him.

"Okay, okay, Huang Qiang, I remember what you said." Huang Qiang's loud answer and sincere attitude when he answered himself made Sheng Zheng very satisfied, so Sheng Zheng's tone of speaking to Huang Qiang became more and more friendly.

"Huang Qiang, do you still have the strength to lead your vanguard troops to open the way for the large army? Although the four-horned deer has already been obtained, we have not yet captured the earth-wild beast, so now we have to catch the earth-wild beast. How about it, do you have the confidence to complete the task?"

"General, Huang Qiang is confident of completing the tasks you assigned. However, General, there are three quad-horned deer on the cliff, among which only one adult quad-horned deer, and the other two are just quad-horned deer. Therefore, as long as we continue to attack the two injured quad-horned deer and calmly restrain the adult quad-horned deer. With our current strength, it is not difficult to capture the three quad-horned deer. General, why don't we catch the three quad-horned deer first?"

Sheng Zheng gave him a task again, and Huang Qiang was of course very happy. He was able to give the large army a way forward. This was the general's trust in him. However, before that, Huang Qiang still wanted to capture the three four-horned deer still on the cliff.

Without the guards of these two adult four-horned deer, plus the other two young four-horned deer and injured, Huang Qiang believes that as long as they keep attacking the injured little four-horned deer to restrain the adult four-horned deer, it is not difficult to capture the three four-horned deer on the other side of the cliff alive.

Huang Qiang had a good idea. If Huang Qiang proposed to capture the three-headed and four-horned deer, it would be a cost of zero casualties. However, to Huang Qiang's surprise, Sheng Zheng actually directly rejected his proposal.

"Huang Qiang, we won't catch the three-horned deer." Sheng Zheng directly rejected Huang Qiang's proposal without hesitation, which surprised Huang Qiang extremely. What's going on?

"General, the three living four-horned deer are worth 45,000 contributions. This value is not small. General, we cannot miss this good opportunity!"

Zhao Chaogang offered a full contribution value of 10,000 yuan, and if the four-horned deer is alive, the purchase price will be 50%. Therefore, as long as Sheng Zheng and others captured the three four-horned deer on the other side of the cliff alive, they would have a contribution value of 45,000 yuan.

In the jade area, the contribution value of 45,000 is not a small amount, but it is definitely a large amount.

"Haha, Huang Qiang, I know that the three-headed four-horned deer is worth 45,000 contribution value, but Huang Qiang, you have to remember that we can pursue money, but we cannot let money be captured.

Although the three quadrilateral deer are worth 45,000 contributions, two of the three quadrilateral deer are young quadrilateral deer that have just been born.

From ancient times to the present, when hunters hunt, they encounter pregnant prey, or prey with newly born cubs, or eggs in bird nests. The hunters will not take action.

This is a tradition that has been passed down for thousands of years. Such traditions are also possessed by Western countries.

Why have hunters in China and Western countries had such traditions for thousands of years? This is actually because these hunters know that if they slaughter the pregnant prey in the forest or the prey with their cubs, they might have gained a lot this day, but if this continues for a long time, starting from one day in the future, the hunters will no longer have prey to catch.

If there is no prey to be killed, these hunters and their families will lose their livelihoods, and if a family loses their livelihoods, the consequences can be imagined.

For thousands of years, such a tradition has been passed down. Can we abandon such tradition when we come to us? Huang Qiang. This time we can indeed catch the three four-horned deer back. However, once we do this today, we will definitely do this in the future. Perhaps one day in the future, the four-horned deer will disappear in the wilderness. Huang Qiang, you must not do anything at all, you must be at a proper level!”

Sheng Zheng explained to Huang Qiang the reason why he did not capture the three four-horned deer, and even used this opportunity to tell Huang Qiang that no matter what he did, he must be responsible. Never do it, otherwise, waiting for Huang Qiang will definitely not be a good result.

"General..." Huang Qian's face turned red, and his face was full of shame. Huang Qiang, a farmer's son, actually knew very well about the hunting tradition that Sheng Zheng mentioned. His grandfather had said these words to Huang Qiang more than once when he took him to hunt on the mountain when he was a child, but he didn't expect such a thing, and Huang Qiang still needed Sheng Zheng to remind him.

When he saw the 45,000 contribution value, Huang Qiang even forgot his grandfather’s teachings since childhood, which made Huang Qiang feel ashamed. If there was a hole in the ground now, Huang Qiang would definitely get in immediately, saving it from embarrassment.

"General, I'm sorry, I promise that I will never be so short-sighted in the future, and I will never be confused by money. General, I swear in my reputation as a soldier!"

Huang Qiang promised Shengzheng with a serious expression that he would correct the mistakes he had made very seriously and would never make fraud.

The sincerity in Huang Qiang's oath made Sheng Zheng know that what Huang Qiang said was definitely not to fool him. Huang Qiang's words were 100% his true words, which made Sheng Zheng very happy.

There is nothing wrong with a person making a mistake. As long as this person can correct the mistake after making a mistake and not make the same mistake again, then this person will make up for the failure, and it is still not too late.

If Huang Qiang can admit his mistakes in this way and sincerely, it means that Huang Qiang has a deep understanding of his mistakes. In the future, Huang Qiang will never make the same mistakes again.

Therefore, Sheng Zheng said with a big belly: "Okay, Huang Qiang, I believe what you just said.

Huang Qiang, now I order you to lead your leader wrongly, to investigate the movements ahead for the large army and to find the traces of the Earth-Barrage beast in the shortest time. Do you understand?"

"Yes, General, Huang Qiang understands!"

…………………………………………………………………………

"Sheng Zheng is not bad. He didn't kill all the remaining three four-horned deer. Faced with the temptation of 45,000 contributions, Sheng Zheng was able to recognize his master. Sheng Zheng is indeed good."

The conversation between Sheng Zheng and Huang Qiang was completely heard by Zhao Chaogang. Zhao Chaogang agreed with Sheng Zheng's behavior of letting go of the three four-horned deer.

If Sheng Zheng and the others were really going to catch the three quad-horned deer just now, Zhao Chaogang would definitely take action, because Zhao Chaogang agreed with the tradition of banning the animals during pregnancy and animals with cubs.

Zhao Chaogang could allow Sheng Zheng and others to hunt adult four-horned deer, but he would never allow Sheng Zheng and others to hunt newly born four-horned deer cubs for money.

In life and doing things, you must have a bottom line.

In fact, the tradition of banning the killing of animals during pregnancy and young animals appeared in the Qin Dynasty. China has attached great importance to the relationship between heaven and man since ancient times, and paid great attention to the protection of the ecological environment.

Although Lu Buwei, the prime minister of Qin, was a controversial historical figure, he recruited all the people in the world to compile the "Lüshi Chunqiu" which was an outstanding contribution to the inheritance of ancient Chinese culture.

"Lüshi Chunqiu" has "Twelve Chronicles". Someone asked about the key points of the thoughts. Lu Buwei clearly answered that it was to adjust the relationship between heaven, earth and man to make it harmonious. The key point was to act without doing anything.

The "Twelve Chronicles" in "Lüshi Chunqiu" systematically introduces the celestial patterns, phenological characteristics, production procedures and many things that should be paid attention to in a year and a twelve month. There are many of them, which involve ecological and environmental protection.

For example, in the month of spring, sacrifices to the gods of mountains, forests, rivers and lakes should not be made of female animals. In that month, trees are prohibited, bird nests are not destroyed, pregnant animals and young animals are not allowed, and bird eggs are not allowed.

In the mid-spring month, it is forbidden to destroy water sources and burn mountains and forests. In the mid-spring month, it is forbidden to hunt animals with bows, arrows, snares, poisons, etc. It is not allowed to cut down mulberry trees and jujube trees.

In addition, there are regulations that prohibit large-scale hunting in the month of summer, and charcoal burning is not allowed in the month of midsummer. It is prohibited to cut down mountains and forests in the month of summer.

The "Zhou Yue", "Shi Xun", "Monthly" and other chapters written in the "Yi Zhou Shu" in the pre-Qin and Qin and Han Dynasties, as well as "Rites? Monthly Orders", "Huainanzi? Shi Ze", etc., also have similar contents.

Judging from the guidance policy of the Monthly Order, it may be more clear after the middle of the Western Han Dynasty.

"Book of Han? The Chronicle of Emperor Xuan" records the June edict in the third year of Yuankang (63 BC). It was announced that bird's nests should not be destroyed in spring and summer. Bird's eggs should be explored and birds shot. This is exactly the ban on protecting the ecological environment emphasized in the "Monthly Order".

The "Jiao Shi Yilin" written in the middle and late Western Han Dynasty has the words "Exploring the Nest in Autumn and Winter", which shows that the system of not destroying bird's nests in spring and summer has indeed been implemented.

"Book of Han? The Chronicles of Emperor Yuan" records that in June of the third year of Chuyuan (46 BC), due to abnormal climate and "storm from time to time", the administrative department ordered to monitor carefully and not violate the "four seasons prohibitions".

In November of the third year of Yongguang (41 BC), due to earthquakes and floods, the edict severely asked all officials why they did not comply with the "time ban".

Yan Shigu, a scholar in the Tang Dynasty, explained that the so-called "time prohibition" is the content stipulated in the "Monthly Order".

In recent years, the mud wall ink book "Fifty-year and monthly orders of the Inspector of the Envoy" was excavated in the Han Dynasty site in Xuanquan, Dunhuang, Gansu, which contains content on ecological protection.

For example, the "Year Spring Month Order" has a provision of "blocking wood is prohibited", and it also explains that until August, trees of all sizes must not be cut down, and they can only be cut down selectively when "vegetables fall" after autumn.

There is a ban on destroying bird's nests in that month, and even empty nests are not allowed to be destroyed. The ban on destroying empty nests is implemented until summer. If there are birds and eggs in the nest, it is prohibited to destroy them all year round. It is also stipulated that as long as it is a snake or insect that does not harm humans, it is not allowed to be killed before September.

The prohibition of killing pregnant animals is "regularly prohibited" throughout the year. The regulation that the prohibition of killing young birds is also "regularly prohibited for every December" throughout the year. The ban on protecting young and weak animals is implemented until the end of September.

The date of this article is "Dingchou on the first day of Jiazi in the fifth year of Yuanshi". It was issued in 5 AD and was clearly promulgated as the Empress Dowager. It was written on the wall to expand publicity and make the relevant content known to everyone.

"Ming History? Official Records III" talks about the system of "recommending new things and offering items according to the "Monthly Order". This content can also be seen in the documents of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom: "The special historian is appointed to write the "Monthly Order", and the Tianli records are clearly marked; the solar terms are recorded every year, and the plants and trees are sprouting in He Chen."

This shows that the existence of the Monthly Order as a cultural existence does have a long historical influence. Of course, the contents related to ecological and environmental protection may be of different importance in different eras.

In fact, the tradition of not killing pregnant animals and young animals, and not taking eggs from birds is actually the protection and cherishing of the ecological environment. It can be said that some consensus has been formed among enlightened scholars in the Tang Dynasty.

Lang Shiyuan's poem "The door opens to the small path and pity the fragrant grass", and Huangfu Zeng's poem "I am sad that the lonely crane is in the crowd", all vaguely reflect this consciousness. For the destruction of the ecology, insightful poets take a negative attitude.

Weizhuang's "Tianjing Pass" talks about the situation where the construction of the pass city caused the local vegetation and related natural ecology to be destructively affected: "Who builds a female wall to the deep clouds in the depths of the clouds on the Taihang Mountain?" "The tree green opens to make a high base, and cuts off the peaks to make a huge defense."

When someone evaluates this poem, he tries to analyze it from the perspective of criticizing the lack of morality but the risk of doing things. In fact, if you observe from the perspective of ecological protection, you should see that this is a criticism of "opening the tree green" and "cutting the peak green", which also tortuously expresses the concept of protecting the natural ecology.

Another example is Hanshan's poem: "I saw trees by the river yesterday, and they were destroyed. More than two or three stems were there, and thousands of axes and knife marks were shrouded. The frost withered leaves, and the waves rushed to withered roots." "Frost withered", "Waves" were of course a natural factor, but "Million axes and knife marks" were artificial "destroys".

Wang Jian's "Inscription on Jinjia Zhuxi" says that "there are shocked dogs under the mountain deer, and the fish on the pond are not afraid of people", which actually involves the relationship between humans and wild animals. His poems such as "The hunter asks for wounded geese under the arrow, and fishing for live fish on the roof of the pole" praise the behavior of protecting animals and lovingly helping lives.

Wei Yingwu's "Shuyuan Deer" has the sentence "Wild is hard to livestock, and he has been playing for more than a year" and "I cannot travel to mountains and lakes, and I am sorry for being sincere." In "Yuhuozi Deer", he also wrote that although there are beautiful grass and clear streams in the garden, "who knows that he thought about traveling in the rocks and valleys"? The deer's inner wish is still eager to return to the world of freedom.

Of course, some of these poems have other profound meanings and can be understood as political fables, but using this form to explain the principles of worldly affairs and life through analysis of ecological conditions is enough to reflect the concept of people at certain social levels at that time to protect the ecological environment.

Wulin Midi Realm is a blessed land specially created by Zhao Chaogang for the whole Chinese. Therefore, Zhao Chaogang attaches absolute importance to the protection and cherishing of the ecological environment in Wulin Midi Realm. Therefore, Zhao Chaogang is not allowed to kill pregnant animals and young animals, nor to take eggs from birds. Of course, Zhao Chaogang attaches great importance to the tradition of not killing pregnant animals and young animals. (To be continued...)
