24. Raise your head(1/2)

Under the moonlight, toward the east of Yas Royal City, a team of more than a hundred knights was returning.

In the cold winter three months ago, in order to be wary of goblins attacking the border posts while the weather was cold, King Yas City sent many well-trained knights to the front line to assist.

Now that the cold winter has faded and the winter snow has melted, this group of royal descendants led by some nobles have begun to gradually return.

Andrew Turner is among those returning today.

As the eldest son of the Viscount family, he is already a second-level magician at the age of sixteen. Many people are optimistic that the Turner family will be promoted to earl in the next few years relying on the trust of the royal family.

During this winter reinforcements, he was assigned the task of laboring the army and received unanimous praise from the two great lords on the front line.

When wiping out the goblin underground maze, he killed more than a dozen goblins with boulders, which even impressed adamantite-level adventurers.

On the way back, the family knight team headed by Andrew smiled happily at the thought of being reunited with their families.

So does Andrew.

This outstanding performance gave him a bit of courage to compete with his father.

The knights dispersed on the outskirts of the royal city and returned to the manors of their respective nobles.

Andrew returned to his manor without stopping, and a servant immediately came forward to greet him.

Andrew dismounted and threw the reins into his hand: "Nothing happened at home, right?"

"My family is doing well. I heard that you killed a dozen goblins with a single magic attack in the East. The master was very happy at the banquet, bragging about your martial arts to many people."

Andrew clicked his tongue in displeasure.

"By the way, young master, the house that my family has been unable to rent has also been rented out."

The servant smiled so hard that the wrinkles on his face squeezed together, "Master said this is all the good luck you brought."

Andrew was stunned for a moment and asked quickly: "Which one..."

"It's the one where those unlucky magicians mixed the potion and were poisoned. They were really damned. They ruined the family's financial resources and caused a lot of rumors. It made the place completely unpopular and eerie.

"

"It's fine now. Someone has moved in, and the rumors will soon cease."

The servant didn't notice Andrew's gradually stiffening face at all, and instead focused on reporting what he thought was the "good news."

"Who rented it, an adventurer? A wealthy businessman?" Andrew asked, "My father has lowered the price, so I can't just find someone to rent it to, right?"

"I heard that he is a nobleman who traveled from far away. He traveled to many places."

"I went to see it on the day it was rented out. He was just a down-and-out nobleman, leading a pretty good-looking servant to show off. He couldn't compare with our family."

Andrew's face turned pale, and he slapped the servant hard on the ear.

You are too lazy to explain, why do you need to give a reason to teach your servant?

Andrew got on his horse, pointed his riding crop at the servant and ordered: "Just say that I forgot to go to the teacher to report that I am safe, and I won't be back tonight. Do you understand me?"

The stunned servant knelt down and said yes again and again in fear.

Andrew was galloping on the main road outside the royal city, anxious.

He only hoped that the nobleman who rented the property was a man of some quality and would not fail to return the things he had left behind after discovering them.

If not, it's really hard to explain clearly.

In the room where Sigrid lived, the cracked mirror hanging on the wall was trembling.

Because Lu Yu followed Lulutis to conduct magic exercises and summoning experiments, the magic power surged particularly frequently in this area.

As if resonating with these magical powers, the mirror trembled more and more, as if it was alive and breathing.

The girl from the Mao'er tribe summoned by Lu Yu perfectly fulfilled the contract requirements and cleared away the wildly growing weeds in the courtyard.

Not to mention, watching beautiful girls working hard in the courtyard while sitting aside and shouting and drinking, this feeling is not much different from that of a wealthy landlord.

Based on this summons, Lu Yu confirmed one thing.

Even if the summoned object does not perform any special or complicated work, the magic power required is still huge.

For work like weeding, using wind magic to mow the grass is even more cost-effective than using summoning magic to find someone to help. It's no wonder that every summoner basically focuses on the direction of killing people.

If you are not in danger, using summons is an absolute waste of time and magic power.

Summoning is a trump card, not a panacea.

Unless you are a serious pursuer of "art", you will waste your magic power and make yourself dizzy just to find a beautiful woman to weed for you. This kind of thing is a typical pitfall for your brain.

It's no wonder that Lulutis has been teaching herself various simple and easy-to-learn little magics. She is really afraid that she will plunge into the summoner path and go astray, unwilling to learn anything else.

Lu Yu felt that Lulutis was really suitable to be a teacher.

She can package boring study into very interesting.

For example, she used magic movements to make Lu Yu have a strong connection with a certain magic, and then he was able to cast magic quickly without thinking.

Snapping your fingers binds wind magic that can create whirlwinds.

The index finger pointed forward, and the thumb was raised to bind the small fireball that Lu Yu had been hanging on his lips.

After becoming proficient, Lulutis would change to the next group. After going back and forth a few times, Lu Yu had already formed a muscle memory and could cast magic instantly without binding movements.

These things are simple to say, but if the person teaching you is not serious, or does not mention those key points, and you just have to explore on your own, many people will not be able to get started.

Lu Yu felt like he was back in class again, except that his previous teacher was a human and his current teacher was a tentacle monster.

She always loves to "dance" and twist around in class, making it difficult for people to take their eyes away from her.

When Lu Yu completed the last set of basic magic training, Lulutis shouted stop.

Lulutis' calculations were really good. She always rested when Lu Yu's magic power was almost exhausted, and would never let Lu Yu enter a state of collapse and damage his body.

"Are you still practicing?" Lu Yu asked while panting.

Lulutis was shocked by Lu Yu's learning ability and enthusiasm. That night, she taught so quickly and with such dense knowledge that Lu Yu actually followed her.

She had guided Lu Yu to summon before, mostly because she was curious about what he, as an outsider, could attract.

Now seeing Lu Yu's enthusiasm in learning magic and looking at his talent, Lulutis suddenly remembered the reward that Lu Yu had asked for from her.

"A fifth- or sixth-level magician..."

"If you can really progress at this speed, maybe you can actually do it." Lulutis thought to herself.

Lulutis used her tentacles to help Lu Yu up: "That's it for today. Although you recover quickly, if you use your magic power too much, you will feel pain all over your body."

When he opened the door, Lu Yu asked curiously: "Lulutis, what do you think of my study? Do you have the potential to become a fourth-level magician?"

Perhaps it was because he had officially begun to understand the world and magicians that Lu Yu was no longer like when he was in the tree hole. When he opened his mouth, he was talking about the fifth and sixth levels.

Lulutis smiled.

"I think you have the potential to become a seventh-level magician."

Lu Yu was happy and said don't make trouble.

Lulutis was about to tell Lu Yu seriously that she never joked about magic.

The glass fell to the ground, and the loud sound of shattering was heard far away in the silent night.

The two people standing at the door of the house chatting were all agitated, and Lulutis' black mist body even froze.

"It should be the mirror in Sigrid's room. Yesterday when I checked the condition of the house, I felt it was cracked, which is a bit dangerous."

Lulutis' explanation made the alert Lu Yu sigh in relief.

"Boom."

There was a dull sound, like something heavy falling to the ground.

Immediately afterwards, strange footsteps sounded from the second floor.

The steps were sometimes light and sometimes heavy, as if a person with an unbalanced body was unable to control the strength of his footing.

A gust of cold wind blew from Lu Yu's back, and a chill ran down his spine, making him shiver for no reason.

There is no one on the second floor today.

Sigrid set out with the rest of the amateur adventurers rated Shiraki-level by the Royal City Adventurer's Guild.

Although Lulutis's perception is severely weakened, ordinary people can still detect it if they get close.

However, they were practicing in the courtyard with a wide view just now, and no one was found to intrude at all.

What is that on the second floor now?

The footsteps gradually moved from the heads of Lu Yu and Lulutis to near the stairs.

A beam of moonlight shone from the glass on the roof of the building to the handrail of the stairs, and a pair of slender, sickly white hands appeared there.

It's a girl.

The white suspender skirt swayed with her movements, her long black hair was draped over her shoulders, and her beautiful oval face was very clear and expressionless.

Her eyes were strange, very hollow and pitch black, as if they had no pupils.
