108 Reasons for Eviction

To make an image metaphor, the shape of the Belita Market looks like an "iron nail".

The whole is as thin as an iron nail because the main body of the town is a long main street, but the northernmost end is much widened horizontally, just like the round head of a nail, because there are two relatively large buildings there!

One left and one right, one east and one west.

To the west is a huge three-dimensional hall, simple and majestic. It seems to be vaguely divided into four independent halls, but in fact the four parts belong to a huge building.

To the east is a tall cylindrical stone platform with spiral upward steps around the platform, and several "rune flying boats" of different colors and specifications docked on the platform.

There is no doubt that the former is the "Adventurers Guild" famous in the Great Six, and the latter is the "Flying Boat Station" that has emerged in recent years.

Daren quickly walked to the northern end of the Belita Market and saw a huge building on his left hand at a glance. One of the halls had a familiar sign of a huge sword and an axe crossing, which made the brown boy a little excited.

The brown boy wiped the iron sword in his hand with the corner of his clothes, tightened the shield of the self-defense regiment on his back, and ran quickly towards its gate. Although the four halls and halls were a whole, each had their own gates! Above each gate was the corresponding light mark pattern.

However, when Daren ran to the door of the Warriors' Hall and ran up the steps there, a big foot suddenly flew towards him.

He was completely unprepared and could encounter attacks at the door of the Adventurers Guild. Daren was hit on the forehead, almost stumbled on his nose, and he staggered backwards.

Finally, he rolled down the steps and sat on the ground, covered in dust, with a "bang" sound from the shield and the ground.

"What are you doing!" Daren got up and glared at the man.

The one who kicked himself was a bald man with his hands on his back! He was laughing with his companions.

"What are you doing?" the bald man sneered in his nose, "A mercenary actually asked me what I was doing? Are you carrying such a big shield for fear that we won't see it?"

"What's wrong with me carrying a shield?" Daren couldn't help but feel angry.

"What's wrong?" The bald man seemed to have heard the funnyest joke and spread his hands to his companions. "Listen, he actually asked me what's wrong? Are even mercenaries so arrogant these days?"

His companions also laughed, only one person shook his head slightly, but he didn't say anything to stop him.

"Listen!" Daren shouted angrily, "Bald guy, I don't know you, and I don't know why you attacked me! But I came here from Door Village to awaken the mark of light! My village was attacked by monsters, and there were heavy casualties. I have already sworn to awaken the mark of light... If you stop me again, I will be rude to you!"

"You haven't awakened the mark of light yet?" The bald man was stunned for a moment when he heard this, his attitude seemed to ease a little, but he still shook his head disdainfully, "Boy, it turns out that you are not a mercenary yet. Okay, I admit that you kicked a little hard just now... But looking at your outfit, you should become a mercenary sooner or later... As long as I stand here today, you don't want to go in."

"That's right, there is no shortage of mercenaries in the Warriors' Hall..." The companions next to them agreed.

"But your village has also encountered monsters... Forget it! Let's do this, you throw away your shield and just hold the sword, and I'll let you in." The bald man looked at Daren's tender face, shook his head and added.

"Boss Justin is so kind!" Someone else praised him next to him.

The only person who shook his head at the beginning suddenly frowned and said, "You said Door Village? Is the Door Village on the Red Onyx River? It is more than half a month away from Belita, and it passes through a place of monster gatherings like the Dark Valley... Don't tell me you came here alone?"

"I have four companions, but I got separated on the fifth day..." Delan remembered Hans and Marcy and the others.

I don't know how they are.

"That's amazing too. A young man who was unaware of his life was able to travel more than half of the journey by himself and survived in the wild for about ten days." The man gave a thumbs up.

The bald man named Justin was dissatisfied: "Qincy, what do you mean."

"I just want to say that people with this determination and perseverance are very independent. I'm afraid they can't threaten them, but they will have the opposite effect..." Quincy shook his head and whispered, "He even broke into the wilderness. How could he give up when he was scared by us in the town... I'll just let me persuade him."

He said as he separated the crowd and walked down the steps step by step.

Only then did Delan notice that Quincy, who seemed not very strong, had a giant axe on his back.

"Child, if you want to avenge the village, you should be a powerful warrior, not a mercenary who serves others." Quincy patted the soil on Daren and said earnestly: "I apologize for Justin's rudeness. We will not stop you today... But as a person who has experienced it, I must remind you that swords and axes are truly powerful weapons. Shields can be used, but they can only be auxiliary. You must focus your cultivation on the sword or axe!"

"Whether inscribed skills, exercise skills, or strengthening them with precious materials... the shield direction has no future! It can only be reduced to a tool for making money, gradually making you lose the passion and enterprising spirit of a warrior."

"But my dad is a shield warrior." Daren suddenly spoke, "a great shield warrior."

"Your dad?" Quincy was stunned. "What is his name?"

"Herbert Boole! I grew up watching his story, and I have always been proud of what he did for the rest of my life! I will become a warrior, and I must be a warrior with shields!"

After Daren finished speaking, he pushed him away and walked up the steps again.

Quincy was stunned in place, not moving for a long time.

However, the bald men's companions looked at the brown boy walking in with some dissatisfaction, and then started to discuss:

"Hey, have you heard it clearly? That boy just said that his father was Herbert Boole?"

"I heard it right? That 'stubborn Boole'?"

"Uh, Boss Quincy, you're closest to it. Did he just say this name?"

———————

After entering the Warriors' Hall, Daren wiped the footprints on his face hard, his eyes a little heavy.

"I won't bring a mercenary to awaken." This is what the warrior Gavin once said.

"You can never become a great warrior!" This is Orwell's evaluation of himself because he refused to put down his shield.

"Never put down your shield!" This is a line of words left by my father in the last travel notes of Great 6, and it is also his lifelong motto.

Even before coming to Belita, Deren vaguely felt from all aspects that warriors using shields were not very popular! He has heard the word "mercenary" mentioned many times, and it seems that they are very excluded and discriminated against by a certain group of people. But in fact, he has never known what it means!

Unexpectedly, he encountered unfair treatment again today. Daren held his breath and planned to figure it out thoroughly later.
