029 Evil Wizard's Notes

Gene didn't know how he got there.

Twenty-story stairs and more than 800 steps were as long as Gene.

When he finally came between the thirty and thirty-first floors, the outside of the colorful crystal windows of the Mage Tower were pitch black, and even twinkling stars could be seen.

Then he saw his own supper.

It was a metal dining plate that was upside down on the ground... The food that was supposed to be delicious inside sprinkled half a stairs, and due to the light gravity, some even flew to the wall.

A gray-robed servant was tiptoing and wiping the wall with a rag.

"Oh~~ It seems that your dinner was kicked over by some careless person. This is really unfortunate news." A contemptuous voice came from above. Gene looked up and saw that the male magician Oliver stood casually on the corridor on a certain floor above and looked down at him.

"Hey, don't look at me with that kind of gaze. You don't think I kicked it over?" Oliver quickly opened his eyes wide, "You're wronged me! I just asked the servant to put the food here, but I didn't run to kick it over. Food is a gift from the goddess and cannot be wasted easily, right?"

Gene gritted his teeth, daring to be angry but not speak out.

"It's nothing to eat for a meal, boy." Oliver shook his head, "but you didn't seem to listen to my advice and take your bed down... If you continue to live on the top, then if you want to eat in the future, you may have to go down twenty stairs at the same speed as a turtle. Then who may kick your meal over again? But if you move down voluntarily, I believe this problem will be much easier."

After throwing off such a sentence, the young man with long hair sneered and turned around and left.

Gene stood there for a while, for a long time, and suddenly grinned with self-deprecatingness.

"Maybe there is another way." The red-haired boy whispered, "From the future, I will set off two hours in advance for every meal, slowly climb down, and just take the meal from the servant..."

"Well, it will always be better..."

Dragging his hungry body, Gene slowly turned around with the wall and walked back upwards again.

But this time, he saw an acquaintance before he walked very far.

The magician named Blanche was standing at the entrance of the stairs, staring at a blue crystal window.

"Jen? Why are you doing here so late?" The gray-haired girl turned around and looked at the outside guest in surprise.

"You are not here too..."

"I live on this floor." Blanche replied naturally, "You haven't answered me yet."

Gene looked around and saw that it was about thirty-three floors... It was right to think about it. It seemed that Blanche and the girls who followed Erin before were just apprentice magicians, so it was normal for them to live in a low number of floors.

"I'll just go around..." Since Blanche knew about Deren, Gene seemed a little unwilling to face the magician girl, hurriedly avoided her gaze and continued to hold the wall and move up little by little.

As the two passed by each other, Gene's stomach was inappropriate and strong protest.

A ray of light suddenly flashed in Blanche's eyes.

"Gen!" she suddenly said, "Is the plate downstairs yours? Have you not had supper yet? Is someone teasing you?...Oliver?"

Gene trembled, and then immediately shook his head and denied.

"You can't deceive me! Who told you to live next door to Erin, it must be Oliver." Blanche quickly figured out the causes and consequences. Somehow, seeing the red-haired boy lowered his head and felt aggrieved, her previous mood seemed to have improved a lot because of this!

The girl walked away from the blue window and pulled Gene's sleeve into her room.

Gene stood in the middle of the room at a loss, and he came to his senses until Blanche brought a plate of fragrant wheat bran biscuits to him.

"Give it to me?" Gene pointed at himself in shock.

"Eat!" The gray-haired girl said concisely, and at the same time she also pinched a piece from it and stuffed it into her mouth, revealing an intoxicating look. Her voice soon became vague because of chewing. "This is the secret recipe I have developed myself... If you try it, does it taste...a great..."

After receiving the approval of the master, Gene no longer hesitated. He was hungry! He showed a look of gratitude and started to eat, and quickly gave a thumbs up to the gray-haired girl!

It's really delicious!

But it was a bit dry, and after eating a few pieces, Gene had to stop and rest for a while.

"Actually, it's better to be hot." At this time, the gray-haired girl showed a hint of pride, suddenly snatched the metal plate, and then raised her pine staff and started singing!

"The great god of fire element...fireball technique!"

With a loud bang, a fist-sized fireball formed at the top of the staff.

Although it was not the first time she saw it, Gene still felt that the magic was novel and stared at it without blinking. The gray-haired girl was also a little surprised to see the fireball appearing. Then she held up her staff and moved the fireball to the bottom of the metal plate little by little.

During this process, she looked struggling and hesitant, but in the end, she still gritted her teeth and got up little by little until the end...

"boom!"

The fireball exploded all of a sudden!

Fortunately, the fireball was not big, and it just fryed the metal plate to the sky, and made the scorched biscuit crumbs fall down like black charcoal rain... And in the center of the room, two small figures fell on the floor, with their faces as black as smoke.

On the two black and black faces, there were only bright eyes blinking.

After a while.

"You didn't see anything." One of the figures gritted his teeth and squeezed out this sentence.

It would be fine if I didn't say it, but when I said that, another figure suddenly laughed! And I couldn't help laughing harder and more. Finally, I held my stomach and fell to the ground with my laughter! I even burst into tears! On the other side, the vicious figure gradually couldn't help laughing, and rubbed my eyes with the sleeve of my robe while laughing.

People are inevitably worried, and perhaps they can forget it temporarily only when they laugh.

Master Flinda left quickly and came back quickly.

At noon the next day, she returned to the Magic Tower and summoned many disciples to announce a major news.

"I'm going to prepare for a while to recuperate." said the great master.

The disciples gathered in front of her were men and women, of course, including those with good strength like Erin and Oliver, but they also included some trainee magicians including Blanche, which seemed unruly at first glance.

"I found something amazing in the Dark Valley..." Flinda pondered her words, "It's okay to tell you, if I read it right, there was once a magic tower for an evil wizard."

After saying this, there was a gasp in the audience!

Evil wizard!

The legendary evil and powerful existence, an alien among magicians, and one of the nightmares on the mainland, but it is said that it has not appeared for many years.

"Don't be nervous. This evil wizard has been dead for a long time and has no threat to us... and it is good news to me, because I found this." Flinda smiled and took out a flat wooden box that looked very worn out from her magic pocket.

Moreover, the wooden box has obviously been broken apart by external force and turned into two halves!

"This is the legacy left by the evil wizard." Flinda patiently explained to his disciples, "You must know that a powerful magician can leave two kinds of the most precious legacy, one is his vast magic power, and the other is the experience and knowledge he has accumulated throughout his life! Magic can be stored in the crystal ball, which is a one-time consumption of wealth, while experience and knowledge are eternal wealth... I am very lucky to get the latter."

All the disciples looked at her blankly, and then looked at the broken wooden box in her hand.

Master Flinda seemed to have known this before, and showed a meaningful smile: "Don't be blinded by appearances, look at the essence through the surface."

She said, putting two and a half-piece wooden boxes together, and then tapped them lightly with a staff.

The light blooms!

When the dazzling light dissipated, the wooden box that looked like a book disappeared... The one that appeared there was a truly thick kraft paper book!

"Is this...the notes of the evil wizard?" Erin screamed in shock.

"That's right." Flinda nodded in approval, "For people who are not strong enough, it may lead people astray, but for me, it is an opportunity to improve myself. So I said I'm going to have a while to recuperate... There is no special thing, don't bother me."

"And you, everyone here today!" Flinda looked around the disciples and said loudly, "My retreat will last for a while, and it will be around the end of the winter of this year! When my retreat is completed, I will take you to the magician branch hall of the Adventurers Guild for skill engraving, assessment and level promotion. You all have to work hard, because you are all people who I have judged that there is hope to advance before the end of the winter of this year."
