Chapter 1,520 The Fantasy Journey of Hero Edward(1/2)

On the baseball field, the batter completed a game-winning home run with a beautiful hit, and the audience cheered. This batter was Edward as an adult!

"When my bones were developed and I became an adult, I started planning to create more space for myself in Ashton."

What follows is a fast-paced montage of footage.

Of course, the protagonist must be young Edward. Edward, the hero on the football field, leads his team to victory. Off the field, a beautiful little girl calls out the name of the boy she has secretly loved for a long time.

"Edward Bloom!"

The other girls were screaming his name.

At that moment, he was the focus of the audience!

Lawn mowers rumbled along the lawn.

Edward stood behind a truck that said "Bloom Landscape Design." There were his workers on every lawn.

He contributed to the book "In Praise of the Boy Scouts".

On the basketball court, Edward made a beautiful long-range shot that won the game for the team. The audience went crazy for him, and his teammates surrounded him to congratulate him. Only Don Price watched coldly.

It seems that every protagonist and every hero has such a villain in the background!

In the town, Edward rushed out of a burning house holding a dog.

In high school, at the science fair, Edward's scientific and technological invention - a perpetual motion machine - won the first prize. He took a photo with the judges, and the flashlight flashed.

Don Price throws his worthless lima pod seedlings into the trash.

On the middle school drama stage!

The handsome and handsome Edward led a group of actors to take the curtain call. He is the star of this stage play. Of course, the backdrop is indispensable for Don Price, who is standing on the side of the stage in costume, playing the role of a horse.

Edward was intoxicated by the thunderous applause and greeted the audience with a smile.

At the graduation ceremony, Edward received his diploma and the principal hugged him tightly.

From what Edward said, his life has always been so wonderful. Ever since he became an adult, he has always been the center of attention among the crowd.

"I was the most famous person in Ashton's history, until one day a stranger came here." Edward's voiceover said.

Inside the farm!

The two farmers shook their heads. A huge hole was opened on the side of the barn, resembling a human figure, but who could be that big?

In the sheepfold, a figure slowly approached the two fat sheep, making them bleat in fright. The stranger grabbed them with his huge hands, put them on his two arms and took them away. But the camera still didn't look at it.

Get a complete picture of this stranger.

Outside the city government building, people gathered together, many holding shotguns. Among the crowd, Don Price, the background poster, was still there.

The tenant farmer said, "He ate the whole cornfield!"

The little girl said: "He ate my dog!"

The hothead with the shotgun said, "Mayor, if you don't stop him, we will!"

The mayor shouted: "I will not allow riots in this town. Now, who wants to talk to him?"

Farmer: "You can't reason with him!"

Sheepherd: "He is a beast!"

There was a chorus of agreement from the crowd. Then the hero appeared!

A voice came: "I'm going."

Everyone turned to see who was speaking. The crowd made a way, and the person who had just spoken came to the front. It was none other than Edward Bloom.

And of course there's the everlasting backdrop of Don Price's glowering look.

Edward said: "I'm going to talk to him and see if I can convince him to leave here."

Mayor: "Kid, that monster can crush you easily."

Edward was confident: "Believe me, he will have to work hard to defeat me."

On a hill, Edward climbed up the last steep slope and came to a cave. Outside the cave entrance, several red-headed American herons were competing with each other to eat the remains of animals eaten by the giant.

Edward shouted in his most solemn voice.

"Hello!"

But no one answered.

Edward continued shouting: "I'm Edward Bloom! Want to talk to you!"

At this time, a loud roar came from the depths of the cave.

"Go away!"

The giant's voice was so powerful that it blew Edward's hair back.

Edward was still fearless: "I won't leave until you come out."

Then there was a rumble like a train passing by.

Heroic Edward braced himself for battle.

The rumble became louder and louder, and the ground began to shake. Even Edward couldn't help but worry: "How old is this guy?"

Edward's voiceover sounded: "Since I know the way of my death in advance, I am sure that the giant cannot kill me. However, I hope he does not crush my bones."

Edward picked up a stone and prepared to stage a new drama of "David versus Goliath".

Then, the giant suddenly appeared. He bowed his body and pushed the stunned Edward halfway up the mountain with one palm.

Karl the Giant is a real giant. He is not only tall, but also strong. He is a complete savage, with a beard that reaches to his elbows, scars and blisters on his skin. His clothes are dirty and torn. Who knows what he is like?

There's something hidden in the messy hair.

Karl leaned over Edward, his huge body blocking the sun. Edward threw a stone at him, but the stone bounced back and did not even attract his attention.

Carl yelled: "Why are you here?"

Edward thought about the best answer: "You can eat me. Our town decided to offer a human sacrifice, so I volunteered."

Carl narrowed his eyes, confused. Edward stood up.

Edward continued: "My arms are a little thin, but the meat on my legs is delicious. I mean, even I want to eat it. (pause) But you have to eat it quickly, because I am more afraid of pain."

Edward closed his eyes and dropped his hands by his side, as if waiting to be eaten. Karl stared at him, not knowing what to do.

After a while, Edward opened his eyes slightly to see what the giant was doing. He was relieved when he saw that the giant had no intention of eating him.

I want to be a coward."

Carl sat down with a bang, dejected.

Edward continued: "Here, eat from my hand first to help you appetize."

Edward thrust a hand into Carl's mouth, but the giant spat it out again.

Carl: "I don't want to eat you, I don't want to eat anyone else. I'm just hungry and I'm too big."

This is a sad truth. Carl is not a beast, he is a deformity, a giant, but he is still a human being after all.

Edward sat next to him.

Edward asked: "Have you ever thought about it, maybe you are not too big, maybe this town is too small. You see..."

The camera pans behind them, overlooking Ashton...a small town in a small valley.

Edward: "I heard that in real cities, they build tall buildings so high that you can't even see the tops."

Karl was curious: "Really?"

Edward nodded: "I'm not going to lie to you. They have a buffet. You can eat as much as you want. Don't you eat a lot?"

Karl was surprised: "Yes."

Edward: "Then why are you wasting your time in a small town? You are so tall, you should go to a big city."

Karl smiled, but the smile quickly disappeared, showing a suspicious expression, and a little sad!

Carl: "You just want me to leave, right? That's why they sent you."

Edward: "What's your name, Giant?"

"Karl."

Edward: "My name is Edward. To be honest, I do want you to leave, Carl, but I want to go with you. This town is too small for you and for someone as ambitious as me."

Yes, it’s too small. I can’t even stay here for one more day.”

Karl wondered: "You don't like it here?"

Edward: "I like every inch of the land here, but I am trapped in this small world. How much space can I have for growth? How about coming with me?"

Karl thought for a moment, then nodded: "Okay!"

Edward said happily: "Okay."
