Chapter 1,602 When time and space are both indistinguishable(1/3)

Anthony, in his pajamas, walked across the hall toward the kitchen.

His attention was drawn to the brightly colored chairs in the clinic, which now stood in the foyer.

Anthony was a little confused: "Where did these come from?"

Annie's voice came, speaking to him in the corridor.

Annie's voice sounded off-screen: "Dad? Have you gotten up? Did you sleep well?"

But he didn't answer. He felt something was different about this apartment. Confused, he walked forward to check it out!

When he came to the living room, he saw the packed boxes. He was a little suspicious that Anne was going to Paris in the end.

Anthony looked at the wall and saw that Lucy's painting was no longer there.

He heard Anne's voice again. She was busy in the kitchen, preparing the breakfast before meeting Laura.

Anne's voice came: "Would you like a cup of coffee before she comes?"

Anthony asked: "Where is the painting?"

Annie: "What painting?"

Anthony asked: "Lucy's painting."

"You are confusing this place with your own apartment. There are never paintings here. Come and have breakfast," said Anne.

Obviously this was Anne's apartment, not Anthony's, but he couldn't tell.

However, the scene that appeared next was shocking.

Anthony looked carefully at the wall, and there seemed to be a rectangle with a lighter color there, perhaps left from the picture frame.

Anthony: "Look, Annie... there."

He turned around, but Anne wasn't there.

Anthony shouted: "Annie?"

Laura came out of the kitchen, carrying a cup of coffee.

Laura: "Here's your coffee!"

Anthony was very surprised to see her. Apparently he had always thought that Anne was inside, but he didn't expect that it was Laura who came out!

He asked Laura where Anne had gone, and Laura told him that Anne was out.

Anthony thought she had gone to Paris, so Laura added: "She will be back soon. In the evening, I will get you medicine."

Anthony: "No, wait."

Laura: "I'll be right back. I'm just going to get you some medicine."

She walked away, and Anthony looked uneasy, realizing that he was not wearing his watch.

Anthony was a little depressed: "What a ghost."

He suddenly realized that he was wearing pajamas, and he straightened his appearance before she came back.

He shifted the armchair and sat down, pretending to be calm.

Laura came back with a glass of water and his medicine.

Anthony asked again: "What time is it?"

Laura: "It's time for you to take your medicine. Well, it's best to take it right away. It'll be over after you finish it. What do you think? There are three pills today, this blue one..."

She seemed to be talking to a child, which made Anthony unhappy.

Laura: "This is what you like. Your little blue pill. Look, it's a cute color, isn't it?"

Anthony finally couldn't help but said: "Can I ask you a question?"

Laura: "Okay."

Anthony: "Are you a nun?"

Anthony: Then why are you talking to me like I'm a retard?

Laura: "Me?"

Anthony: "Yes."

Laura: "But I didn't!"

Anthony imitated Laura's previous tone: "Your little blue pill." "Your little blue pill."

Laura was a little confused and said apologetically: "I'm sorry. I didn't expect you..."

Anthony said: "This tone is really uncomfortable. You will know it when you reach my age. Let me tell you again, this is much faster than you think."

Laura apologized: "I apologize! I won't do this again."

Anthony is still imitating her: "Your little blue pill."

She handed him the water.

Anthony asked again: "Did you notice anything?"

Laura was confused: "About what?"

Anthony: "What else could it be about? About my apartment!"

Laura: "No, what's wrong?"

"It's different," Anthony said.

Laura asked: "You think so?"

Anthony: "Yeah, like, these chairs. Over there, who put them there?"

He was referring to the brightly colored chairs in the hallway.

In fact, at this moment, everyone also understood something. Where is Anthony's apartment here? It is not even Anne's apartment, but a nursing home?

What he was confused about was not only time, but also space!

Laura: "I don't know. Your daughter, I guess."

Anthony: "Obviously. My daughter, obviously still like this, it's wonderful! They didn't even ask me for my opinion. I...do you know what was planned? For my apartment?"

Laura shook her head: “I don’t know.”

Anthony: "Okay, I know. I watch with my eyes wide open. I know everything."

There was silence for a moment.

Anthony spoke again: "By the way, I want to apologize if I was a little bit offended. Last time we met..."

Laura shook her head: "It doesn't matter, your daughter reminded me, she told me, you have your own temper."

She smiled brightly at him. Anthony looked at her, deeply attracted.

Anthony: "It's amazing how much you look like Lucy. My other daughter, not Anne, not her, the other one, the one I love."

Laura said: "Anne told me about her and I'm sorry, I didn't know about it before."

Anthony asked: "Don't know what?"

Laura said: "Her accident."

Anthony was confused: "What accident?"

Laura came back to her senses: “Ah?”

Anthony frowned: "What are you talking about?"

Laura quickly said it was nothing. Laura realized that Anthony had forgotten that his daughter had passed away, and she tried to change the topic.

In fact, at this time, the audience was also surprised. They did not expect that Anthony's daughter Lucy had passed away.

And Anthony obviously doesn't remember.

It’s just that although Laura’s strategy of changing the subject was successful, it also failed.

Laura: "Have you taken your medicine? Then we have to get dressed."

Anthony: "Do you think so?"

Laura: "What?"

Anthony: "You're just talking to me like I'm a retard."

Anthony: "You do!"

Laura: "I didn't, I..."

Anthony: "Then we're going to get dressed..." "Your little blue pill."

Laura was silent, and so was Anthony.

Then he continued: "The truth is, I'm smart. You have to remember that, okay?"
