Chapter 1,659 Implantation begins(1/2)

They all had tubes attached to their wrists, and an older, bald man watched them from a distance.

Ames was counting and exclaimed: "18, 20...all connected, it's terrible!"

Yusuf: "They come every day and share each other's dreams."

Yusuf nodded to the older bald man. He walked to the nearest bed and reached out to touch the person lying on the bed. He slapped him hard on the face, but the sleeper still didn't wake up.

mean.

Yusuf said proudly: "You see, the sleeping pattern is very stable."

Cobb asked: "How long do they dream?"

Yusuf: "Three to four hours a day."

Cobb: "How long is the time in a dream?"

Yusuf: "With this preparation...about 40 hours a day."

Li Teng observed the room, stunned. He couldn't understand: "Why do they do this?"

Yusuf turned to Cobb: "Tell him, Mr. Cobb."

Cobb looked at Li Teng and said, "After taking medicine for a while, it becomes the only way you can dream."

Yusuf asked him: "Are you still dreaming, Mr. Cobb?"

Cobb looked at these sleepers carefully, looking very uneasy.

Ames asked: "They come here just to sleep?"

The older, bald man answered, "No!"

Cobb turned to the older, bald man, who looked at his sleeper with great pleasure.

Older Bald Man: "They come here to be awakened...the dream has become their reality..."

Cobb stared at the older, bald man, uneasy. Cobb turned to Yusuf and threw him the bottle.

Cobb breathed a long sigh of relief: "Let us see what you are capable of."

Soon, Cobb lay on an empty bed and fell asleep. Yusuf stood beside him. As the camera moved closer to Cobb's sleeping face, the sound of a freight train came from the speaker, and the dream was constructing.

...

As Cobb lies down, a close-up of his face, eyes closed, chin resting on the metal fence, the sound of the train deafening, Cobb breathing, breathing, breathing...

Suddenly Cobb's eyes opened and Yusuf was observing him.

Yusuf chuckled: "Enough, right?"

Cobb nodded, stood up, and looked around...

He came to the bathroom, splashed water on his face, and took a deep breath!

The scene flashed back and the curtains moved.

Mal turned to face the camera, her hair flowing and smiling. Cobb rummaged in his pocket and took out his spinning top. He tried to spin it on the edge of the back half of the sink.

But the top fell to the ground and rolled to the door. Li Teng stood there, looking down at the top.

Li Teng asked: "Are you okay, Mr. Cobb?"

Cobb wiped his face with a tissue, picked up the top and shook his head: "It's okay."

On the other side, a close-up shot showed a small brass chess piece. Linnie pushed it down with her hands. She frowned and picked up the small drill, polishing the bottom of the back of the chess piece, and on the base of the chess piece.

A hole was widened on one side. She tried the pointed part of the chess piece again.

A noise made her look up.

Linnie entered the main large open space. Someone was there, opening one of the mechanical devices. It was Cobb.

Lin Ni: "You're back."

Cobb looked up in surprise and was caught red-handed.

Lin Ni asked: "Are you planning to go down and enter the dreamland alone?"

Cobb: "I just...I need to test something. I didn't know there was anyone here."

Lin Ni said: "I'm just making my totem here." She raised the chess piece.

Cobb reached for it: "Let me see it!"

Lin Ni's hand holding the chess piece flashed aside, she smiled, and Cobb nodded: "You learned it!"

Lin Ni: "It's really ingenious to use this method to identify reality. Is it your invention?"

Cobb shook his head: "No, it's Mal's." He couldn't help but take out his top.

She looked at it.

Cobb: "This is hers. She used to spin it in her dreams so it would never fall over. Just keep spinning, spinning..."

Linnie: "Arthur told me she died."

Cobb: "She died. How were these mazes built?"

Lin Ni explained the three huge architectural models: "This is it. Each floor is related to a certain part of the subconscious of the subject we want to get close to. I designed the bottom floor to be a hospital, so that Fischer will

Father took him there..."

Cobb interrupted: "Don't tell me. Remember, you only let the dreamer know the structure."

Lin Ni asked curiously: "Why is this so important?"

Cobb said: "In case the rest of us bring our projections into our dreams, you don't want them to know the details of the maze."

Lin Ni seemed to have guessed his thoughts: "You are afraid that you will bring Mal into your dream."

Cobb said nothing.

Linnie: "You are unwilling to build them yourself. That's because if you know about the maze, then she will know about it. As a result, she will destroy the action plan. You can't prevent her from coming in, right?"

Cobb still said nothing.

Lin Ni asked again: "Does anyone else know?"

Cobb shook his head!

Lin Ni said: "You should remind them that something worse may happen!"

Cobb said softly: "I'm not going to say it's going to get worse. Look, Lin, I need them to do this job. And I need you to do this job. Without your help, I won't

I'll never be able to go home to my two kids. And that's all I care about right now."

Lin Ni was a little confused: "Why can't you go home, Cobb?"

Cobb looked at her, thinking about what to say. After pondering for a moment, he said, "They think I killed her."

This chapter is not over, please click on the next page to continue reading! Lin Ni asked: "How did she die?"

Cobb was lost in thought.

Cobb’s memory scenes are inserted into the screen!

Mal appeared on the big screen again, with the wind blowing her hair, and she faced Cobb with a smile. Cobb was shaking his head, with tears in his eyes, begging...

Back to reality, Cobb looked at her and said, "Thank you."

Lin Ni didn't understand: "Thank me for what?"

Cobb said: "I didn't ask if I was the one who killed him."

The scene switched again. In the studio, Lin Ni, Arthur, Yusuf, Ames and Li Teng were all sitting around the room, looking at the archives together. Cobb presided over the speech.

Cobb: "It's marked Robert Fischer, the heir apparent to Mauro Fischer, CEO of the Australian Energy Group."

He then opened a huge presentation book and loudly announced: "I want to break up my father's empire."

Cobb turned to the team: "This is an idea that Robert Fischer's self-aware mind will never accept. We have to plant this idea deeply into his subconscious."

Arthur asked: "How deep?"

Cobb said: "Under the third level of dreams."

Arthur said doubtfully: "This is a dream within a dream? Is this possible?"

Ames responded: "Yes, it's possible."

Cobb: "Listen to me, the subconscious mind operates through emotion, not reasoning, so we need to transform this idea into an emotional concept."

Arthur wondered: "How do you translate a business strategy into an emotion?"

Cobb said: "This is where we have to come up with solutions. Robert and his father have a tense relationship, even worse than the gossip columns say..."

Ames suggested: "Can we deal with it this way? We make him feel that breaking up his father's company is the most fatal blow to the old man?"

Cobb shook his head: "No, positive feelings always outweigh negative feelings. We long for reconciliation and spiritual catharsis. We need to construct a positive emotional logic."

Ames thought, paced back and forth, then looked back at the presentation board.

Suddenly he said: "Try this... "My father thought I should start my own business instead of following in his footsteps."
