Chapter 1214 Taiping Sutra

When the Yellow Turban Army was defeated, Taiping Dao was strongly suppressed by the court and soon disappeared. Later, Taoism in the Wei and Jin Dynasties became the world of Tianshidao, and the "Taiping Jing" gradually disappeared. Some of the fragments were scattered in the "Daozang". Later scholars compiled and annotated by the school, which was divided into 170 volumes. However, the academic community generally recognized that these were by no means the original appearance, and it would be good to have half of the original ones.

Sun Ce was indeed a little surprised that Yu Ji said that he could write out 170 volumes of the "Taiping Sutra".

"How many words are there?"

"I haven't calculated it, it's about 500,000 or 600,000."

"You remember it all?"

Yu Ji smiled. "The general has never seen the "Taiping Jing" and it is difficult to tell the authenticity. Why not memorize a passage of "The Greatest Talk of the World"? How about it?"

Sun Ce was curious. He knew that some people had excellent memory and claimed to have photographic memory. Unexpectedly, Yu Ji had this ability. He made a gesture and asked Yu Ji to start performing. Yu Ji was not polite, so he cleared his throat and started memorizing.

"The Greatest Talk of the World" has annotations of about 10,000 words, which is not particularly large. Yu Ji memorized it very easily, and within a short while he memorized it for half. Sun Ce was not right from the original, but he knew it was roughly not bad. Looking at Guo Jia, Guo Jia nodded in agreement. Yu Ji's memory was indeed extraordinary, and it was still possible to memorize the "Taiping Jing".

Sun Ce immediately asked someone to take the paper and pen, and asked Yu Ji to write down the secret technique of the Yellow Turban Powerful Sword. He was very curious. Yu Ji did not refuse and wrote it as soon as he picked up the pen. Yu Ji's calligraphy was good, and he felt a sense of outrageousness. While he was writing, Sun Ce looked at it. After half of it, he understood what the so-called secret technique of the Yellow Turban Powerful Sword was. Why did Yu Ji say that this secret technique hurt the way of heaven, so he was not recommended to use it.

The secret technique includes two parts: one is fighting and fighting training, and the other is pills. The two complement each other. Those who were selected as the Yellow Turban Strongman took pills first, and then someone hit the body with a stick, from light to heavy, from less to more, and then washed with medicine. Day after day, year after year, until the body is strong and it is difficult to enter. Before going to battle, take another pill, and you will not feel the pain, but you only know how to move forward bravely.

Isn’t this hard qigong?

At the end of the 20th century, hard qigong was once popular and later was denounced as a scam. It is not unfair to say that hard qigong is a scam, because it actually has nothing to do with qigong. As long as normal people are willing to endure hardships, they can practice it. But it is not true that they are useless at all. After training, they can indeed gain super strong ability to resist strikes, especially with outstanding protection against assassination. The silver spear stabbing the throat is a very popular performance.

It’s just that performance is a performance, with a series of standard operations. If you don’t follow that routine, you can’t be invulnerable even if you practice hard qigong, especially when facing bullets, you can shoot two eyes at one shot.

Sun Ce knew the trick here, but people of this era did not know that when they saw that swords could not hurt the Yellow Turban Warriors, they would naturally feel fearful, and the Yellow Turban Warriors would be possessed like gods. Coupled with their complete obedience to Zhang Jiao and their own martial arts, they could indeed exert strong combat power on the battlefield. Injury will definitely be injured, otherwise there will be no casualties or loss. However, after winning the battle, people only know that the Yellow Turban Warriors are invincible, and few people care about those who are killed.

It would be better if you don’t use such secret techniques, but the investment is too great, but the effect is not very good. When you really encounter a strong crossbow, hard qigong will not be used no matter how good it is. With this time and energy, he would rather use it to increase the training and equipment of the Tiger Guard and Wuwei battalions.

After writing the secret technique, Yu Ji was not disappointed, but instead breathed a sigh of relief.

At this time, Lu Dai came over to report and the guests had all dispersed. Sun Ce asked Yu Ji to go back and continue chatting. When they returned to the water pavilion, Yuan Quan arranged for food and food, and Sun Ce and others took their seats, and then listened to Yu Ji explaining the morality of the "Taiping Jing".

It is slightly different from the rumors that Sun Ce heard before. Yu Ji mentioned that "Taiping Jing" is another version. I don't know if the original rumors were wrong or Yu Ji changed his mind. To be honest, the "Taiping Jing" he mentioned was not Yu Yangquan Shenshui, but a compilation of many people. Yu Ji himself is one of them. They did not write this book out of thin air, but had some books, some of which were ancient books that were not circulated.

In other words, "Taiping Jing" is a collective creation of "Lüshi Chunqiu" and "Huainanzi". It contains both political theories, secret methods of health preservation, and some techniques to restrain ghosts and ban evil. Because it is written by many people, the writing style is not unified and the views are often contradictory. But overall, this can be regarded as a culmination of the era.

In terms of thought alone, the academic thought of the Taiping Jing is the development of Lao Tzu's thoughts, as well as part of Confucianism and Taoism. This is also normal. Confucianism in the Han Dynasty was prospered, and the textbooks for enlightenment were all the "Analects of Confucius" and "Filial Piety". Scholars will have more or less the foundation of Confucianism.

What Sun Ce is most interested in is health preservation. For him, the most convincing thing about Yu Ji is health preservation. As for the theory of governing the country, a group of people who have been born and practiced know what to govern the country. Yu Ji's method of pretending to be a god or a ghost is not enough. Zhang Jiao also has enough damage and insufficient construction. If he really regards the "Taiping Jing" as a program of governing the country, he will die as miserably as Zhang Jiao.

Health preservation techniques are different. Yu Ji also practices art in the room and can still be alive for more than a hundred years. This is a ready-made role model.

Yu Ji was not in a hurry. One of his purposes was to hope that Sun Ce could pay attention to health and live longer. In his opinion, Sun Ce was born in a humble background and his policies were also beneficial to ordinary people. If the Han Dynasty collapsed and the world was in chaos, it would be better for Sun Ce to unify the world than Yuan Shao. Sun Ce's emphasis on Xu Yue and others was already practicing Taoist theories, but seeking Tao outside, not seeking Tao inside.

He hopes that Sun Ce will practice both inside and outside.

Yu Ji has achieved success in his hair training for more than 90 years, but he is still thousands of miles away from becoming an immortal. Apart from curing some people's illnesses, there is no way to solve the suffering of more people. It can be imagined that it is not easy to seek the Tao inside, and even if it is possible to become a saint in the body, it is rare to become a saint in the body. Before this, seeking the Tao outside can solve more problems. Take curing diseases and saving people as an example. How many people can he save alone? Sun Ce built a Bencao cottage, trained doctors, compiled medical books, and developed medicines, which could save thousands of people.

"Yin and Yang are in harmony, and the internal and external correspondence are not suitable for bias. Taking Gonghe as an example, he used numerology to seek the way of heaven, but if he could practice Taoism, even if he did not enter the mountain and face the wall, he would be able to be satisfied and calm and not need to sleep with pills. I have said that I have great troubles and I have a body. Since the body cannot be removed, it should be used to cultivate oneself. It is also suitable to take care of the inside and outside, breathing and guiding it to the outside, and clearing the heart and calming the mind and being internal. If the Tao heart is firm, then supplemented with Taoism such as the room, the elixir and other Taoism, it is time to expect, and seeking Taoism outside the body is also beneficial."
