Chapter 59 The West China Friendship Treaty

Yun Yi's troops, who ended the Shanxi incident, headed westward, passed Henan, left Shaanxi, and headed to the Kunlun Mountains under the control of the Weila tribes.

At the same time, the news that the British and French joint fleets were wiped out finally reached Europe.

The countries that received the news were some gloating and a little nervous, and the Yellow Peril theory emerged again.

Especially Charles I and the nobles who were arrogant not long ago, as if the end of the world had come, and no fleet that maintained rule did not come back. The rest would not guarantee the safety of all territories, and the local area would be under the fire of the enemy's country. The tragic blow made Charles I no longer have ambitions, and whether he could hold the throne firmly would be a problem.

Louis XIII of France was no longer in the mood to expect his mansion to be completed. He made a big splash at the servants and officials and smashed all the things he could see, including his beloved ceramics in the past.

The leaders of the two countries, who finally recovered, sent large-scale missions to the Huaxia Empire, hoping that the other party would not have harsh conditions, but the members of the mission did not have too much expectations. Although they knew that the mission was going to beg for surrender, they had to go. If it was too late, the fleet of the Huaxia Empire might have arrived at the local land and they could not afford to lose.

Spain was about to move and prepared the mission early to travel to South America. After confirming the final victory or defeat, they immediately rushed to Tianjing City after receiving the news. When the British and French missions just set off, they had already set foot on Tianjing Port.

"God, is this the capital of the Chinese Empire?"

The members of the delegation who had just gotten off the ship were stunned.

The clean and tidy wharf streets, the endless stream of transport ships and fishing boats, and the patrol fleets that I encountered along the way, the forts on the mountains on both sides of the port, and the numerous artillery sticking out the large black holes and facing the sea outside the bay from a high point.

The pedestrians and carriages were busy with their work orderly. The steam train on the railway behind them whistled from time to time and quickly disappeared in front of everyone's eyes.

After the group, the people around them were looking down at them with contempt, and their thoughts were clearly expressed in their eyes: "A group of barbarians from Europe."

The members of the group showed embarrassment and instantly woke up the embarrassing companions around them.

"Welcome to everyone, I am Li Mo, a diplomat of the Chinese Empire."

The uneasy Spanish people finally waited for the embassy staff from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Empire.

"Hi, hello, dear diplomat of the Chinese Empire, I am the Spanish missionary Pardo, I am very happy to see you."

The enthusiastic Pardo wanted to give the imperial diplomats a warm hug, but Li Mo skillfully hid it.

The awkward Pardo had to point to other members and introduce him.

Li Mo smelled the strong perfume smell in disgust and kept the distance from the mass.

"His Excellency Li Mo, when will we meet the Emperor of your country?"

"Sorry, our Majesty is visiting the Ming Empire, and you will not see him for the time being."

"What about the Prime Minister?"

"You are temporarily staying in the State Guesthouse. I will notify you if the Prime Minister has time. Please come with me now." Li Mo interrupted Paldo's chatter.

European local buns once again continued the same situation as Earl Black. The prosperous Tianjing seemed to be a paradise, with food, wine, opera, sports and other life and leisure activities one after another, and a wide variety of goods, which allowed the large amount of gold and silver coins they carried to be spent without realizing it. They set off happily every day, and had to return to the State Guesthouse late at night, which made them unhappy. They all purchased large quantities of luxury goods. After spending all their savings, they remembered their mission and had to visit Li Mo again and requested the Prime Minister to receive him.

On August 12, the two sides signed the Treaty of Friendship in West China again under a friendly atmosphere, which stipulates:

"1: From the date of the signing of the treaty, the Chinese Empire and the Spanish Empire will stop all disputes. Both countries have the responsibility to safeguard the property security of the people of both countries, including the territories under the colonies, enjoy the welfare of their own countries, and have the obligation to provide protection for the people of both countries on land or at sea.

2: Spain recognizes that the Florida Peninsula belongs to the Chinese Empire, including the Bahamas in the Caribbean, and recognizes that all the islands in the Pacific belong to the Chinese Empire.

3: The Chinese Empire recognized that the colonies ruled by Spain currently belonged to Spain and no longer launched wars.

4: Both sides open ports of major coastal cities to facilitate trade between merchants in the two countries, including colonial ports and cities. Both sides give the other party the most favored-nation treatment and no longer artificially set up trade barriers.

All supplementary clauses and the final provisions of the treaty shall come into effect after signing the signature by His Majesty the Emperor of both sides confirms the signature again.”

After the signing of the treaty, in order to better understand the national strength and livelihood of the Chinese Empire, the delegation members were loaded with purchased goods and took a train to the east coast of the empire and then returned to Europe by boat.

Porto Banjul Port, Gambia, Africa, Portugal colony.

Groups of young and strong men and women tied by green vines were boarding the boat, surrounded by white soldiers holding whips and grenade guns. On the dock, slave ships from various European countries were docking. The crew members were checking every black man and woman pushed onto the boat like animals. When they resisted, they whipped them down hard. Only when the black man under the whip was bloody and stopped when they were dying, they came up and dragged the half-dead black man into the bottom of the cabin. Whether they could live depends on luck. If they died, they would throw them into the sea to feed the fish. Anyway, the sharks followed behind the slave ship were in groups.

The ship owners and slave owners were bargaining, evaluating the quality of each black man as much as the animals, looking for various reasons to save themselves expenses, and the quarrels were spitting and dancing.

On the sea not far from the port, the corpses of black people who died accidentally fluctuated with the waves, and the fins of the sharks appeared and disappeared in the distance, hoping that the food would float into the deep sea soon. On the beach, there was a strong stench, and the dense flies were filled with several corpses. The carrion birds in the sky were screaming with strange sounds, ready to pounce on their meals at any time. In the nearby grass, unknown beasts lurked in it, revealing their dark blue eyes and staring at the corpses in the distance. The similar and tragic scene has lasted for hundreds of years. If there is no accident, it will last for hundreds of years.

The slave trade in Africa began in the early 16th century and lasted for hundreds of years. In order to supplement and increase the labor force of the American colonies, European colonists turned their attention to the African region. Historically, this trade was called the "triangle trade". They brought cheap salt, cloth and rum from Europe to Africa to trade with local chiefs. The black chiefs allowed them to enter villages in various places to capture black people. Since then, countless black people have fallen on the way to transport and become food for various fish in the Atlantic Ocean.
