Chapter 22

Em felt that he must have died. He shouldn't have ignored his brother and ran to hunting so far. However, his father has been sick recently and cannot eat meat. It's very cold this year. The crunch grass near the tribe has been picked early. He knew that there were a lot of crunch grass in this area, so he secretly ran out.

He followed the squeak grass all the way, and before he knew it, he walked to a place he had never been to before.

Young people are always bold. When they find that they are coming to a place they shouldn't come, Em's first thought is not to go back quickly, but to walk around curiously. There is a cliff here, and there are terrible monsters on the opposite side that are covered by white fog all year round. From time to time, terrible roars come from there. Because of this cliff, those monsters cannot come to hurt them.

Em walked to the cliff, and there was indeed a white mist opposite the cliff. The cliff was incredibly cold. He looked carefully at the bottom of the cliff, and then was surprised to find that the bottom of the cliff was not deep, but a glacier. The cliff was not high from the glacier, about ten meters away.

The frozen river surface was like a small road, building a bridge between where you were and the white mist land opposite.

Em didn't really believe in the words of monsters on the other side, but it was just the words that the adults said to scare them when they didn't want them to get close to the cliff. He didn't take this matter to heart, but he decided to go back and talk about his discoveries here in front of his partner. After all, no one has been here except him!

After picking enough crunch grass that could be eaten for several days, Em walked home happily, and decided to go home before his brother went home. The incident happened at this moment. A huge roar came from behind him, and the earth shook violently. Em fell heavily on the snow pile. He struggled to turn around, but found several ferocious monsters passing through the white mist. Those huge, furless, and terrifying creatures with dagger-like teeth were roaring towards him.

Em was frightened and jumped up to run for his life. One of the monsters found him and chased him straight. The monster had a big mouth, revealing countless sharp teeth inside. Em felt a warm feeling on his face, which was the monster's saliva!

Just as the monster was about to bite his right leg, the earth shook violently again, and Em fainted.

"Dad...Dad..." Murmur, Em woke up, he felt so cold nonsense! Can you not be cold if you were covered by snow?

He got up tremblingly and saw a man.

He is a very young child, his mouth is bulging and he is eating.

"You..." Did you save me? Em wanted to ask him, but found that his throat was so dry that he couldn't speak.

He climbed out of the snow pile, and this stood up allowed him to see the panoramic view, and the scene in front of him shocked him-

The monster that was chasing him was already broken, and red blood was scattered all over the floor! The hideous head fell not far from him, his eyes wide open, as if telling his unwillingness!

The child took out his hand in a stone mortar, took out a ball of bloody cube and put it into his mouth. The little fleshy face continued to flow. Seeing Em stand up, the child was not surprised, and pointed to the monster's corpse not far away.

"Eat?" Seeing Em's answer, the child turned his head, "Don't eat?"
