"Wasteland" is finally over.
This is the most satisfactory book that Lao Hei has written since his debut. Many readers may prefer the first part of the book, that is, the civilized world. But that is just a transition to the subsequent plot. As for the ending, it is not intentionally left suspense, but more plots are needed to unfold. I also thought that the war between Lin Xiang and Albert simply ended in a duel. But that would look very messy and without a sense of fluency. The concept of either kindness or evil people seems to be not clearly defined in the wasteland world. Of course, you can continue to write, and there are many unsolved things that can be continued. The war between the Red Republican Army, the problem of the Skeleton Knights, the future development of the empire... a lot, I have also had the idea of resurrecting Ying Jia... However, the main line of ability is wasteland, and it is impossible to add too many additional factors.
There must be some in the follow-up. There are two reasons for the end now. First, Lao Hei has always wanted to rewrite "The Defector" (as for why this book was interrupted, I don't want to say more. There has never been a shortage of despicable creatures such as "bad guys". Unfortunately, the cooperation with a certain game company has not been agreed, but the framework of the new book is similar to "The Defector". Second, the plot of "The Wasteland" has ended, and if you continue to write it, it will be the prosperity of the new generation of human beings. Poverty and hardship, but it is no longer a bloody, barbaric and desolate wasteland. With light and a future, there is hope.[]
I have to thank many people. Readers, editors, friends... without your support, I would not have been on the road of novels until now. There must be a follow-up to "Wasteland", which should be another new book. As for the plot... Haha! Humans always have to reproduce, and Lin Xiang will also have a son. Many problems that cannot be solved by this generation must be left to future people to deal with. As for the future, I may not be able to see it alive and cannot predict it, but no matter what, hope will always exist.
