873 Assembly accuracy of one-fortieth hair thick
(Add 4/5 for the Forever Wang Ge Da League)
The assembly of the engine is indeed a very big technical problem.
Not only aircraft engines, but also other engines. The power of aircraft can fly is powered by a strong and powerful heart. Missiles also require strong and powerful engines.
The power workshop in Zone 1 not only produces turboshaft engines used for helicopters, but also produces missiles. Houyi and Black Arrow series engines are all produced by themselves in Zone 1, and the turboshaft engines of Z-91 are also produced by them.
With Houyi, Black Arrow performed well in the Middle East battlefield and received huge orders, which increased the assembly capability of Zone 1 to a very high level.
However, just like this, it is still a bit insufficient to install turbofan engines with higher assembly accuracy requirements.
As Liu Yijiu said, the engine of the fighter jet requires long-term and repeated use, while the missile is just a one-time transaction, as long as the output power is strong enough. Even some small rocket launchers and shells are not equipped with engines at all!
Liu Yijiu has been following the first engine after the improvement of the process, and the quality requirements have almost reached a harsh level.
In terms of quality assurance, even with the seven specialized technical agreements, China's industrial foundation is backward and its quality awareness is not too high. It is still much worse than NATO countries led by the Soviet Union and the United States. An expert team composed of Liu Yijiu and Qi Hai and others followed it comprehensively, and all the quality reached the highest level of China's manufacturing industry.
It is necessary to give the eagle soaring in the blue sky of the Republic an absolutely strong heart. Liu Yijiu feels that no matter how much effort it is, it is worth it.
To this end, the most outstanding Nine-level assembly fitters were specially mobilized from District 1 of the Ninth Academy. These are the top technical experts in assembling turboshaft engines used for assembling helicopters. The same is true for Factory 132. The seventh-level assembly fitters are only current apprentices. In order to achieve the highest assembly level, three best-in-class nine-level assembly fitters were even seconded from the Aerospace 002 base.
The first turbofan-8 assembly after the improvement of the process has gathered China's top assembly technology.
"Starting tomorrow, it will be the assembly of our first turbofan-8. Whether our fighter can soar in the sky depends on our work..." On the night before assembly, Liu Yijiu, Wang Yueshan and others, leaders of the 611 Institute, the turbofan R&D team and the leaders of the 132 Factory were all gathered together, for nothing else, just for the mobilization meeting.
Facing the people present below, more than ten people, who are on average young, are over 52. They are from the 9th Hospital, the Aerospace 002 Base, and the 132 Factory, and are sitting in the front.
Their faces were complicated, some were excited, some were worried, and many were frowning.
Looking at the big guys on the rostrum, then looking at the technicians behind them. No one didn't feel nervous.
Liu Yijiu even called the engine they will start assembled tomorrow with the first turbofan-8 engine.
Moreover, there are two at a time. It is directly on the experimental platform in the air. Once the engine has problems, the aircraft cannot fly. Once the engine assembly cannot meet the requirements, this will hinder the progress of the entire fighter project.
They are the top assembly fitters in the country, right, but they are also facing the biggest technical challenges in the country's current manufacturing industry!
"...I hope everyone will do their best to make our fighter heart fit in a short time. To be honest, many people here know that the prototypes of our new generation fighter jets manufactured by Factory 132 have always been waiting for the engine..."
Liu Yijiu didn't care about putting pressure on these assembly fitters.
After the mobilization meeting, Qi Hai asked Liu Yijiu with a worried look on his face, putting too much pressure on whether the performance of these assembly workers would not be as good as they wanted.
"Their ability to withstand pressure is beyond our imagination. Human potential can only burst out under the pressure of their imminent collapse. The Soviet Union and the United States also focus on human assembly. Why can they do it? We can't do it?" Liu Yijiu explained.
The domestic nine-level fitters are actually much worse than the Soviet Union and the United States.
Especially the top fitters in the United States and NATO.
Of course, this is not because the fitters in China do not work hard, but because they have witnessed the most advanced parts and cannot compare with the United States and the Soviet Union in terms of experience in assembling the most advanced equipment.
They must be put under pressure to fully exert their subjective initiative in order to make them more careful and cautious in the assembly process, and at the same time they can come up with more effective solutions.
Not to mention anything else, just when the atomic bomb was built in China, we can clearly see it.
China's atomic energy industry began to develop with the help of Soviet experts. However, when the foundation was not laid, the Soviet Union withdrew all experts to aid China from the Republic. The nuclear engineers of the Republic, even Qian Sanqiang, the top nuclear physicist, were not clear about how to build an atomic bomb.
However, in just four years, with basically a blank foundation, China rose mushroom clouds in Lop Nur at 3 pm on October 16, 1964!
The first atomic bomb in the United States has a deep industrial foundation, a huge scientific research population and the world's top nuclear scientists. It took six years and the Soviet Union the same thing, and it took six years and nine months. China, without an industrial foundation, without perfect supporting facilities, without much foundation, and even without computers. It also created an atomic bomb by relying on abacus to perform complex mathematical calculations.
How bad were the conditions when China made the atomic bomb?
No foundation, no laboratories, no funds!
From Premier Zhou’s words, we can see: “Even if the Chinese don’t wear pants, they have to create an atomic bomb!”
Now that the conditions are better, but there are no results under the harsh conditions as before. How can this be done?
When the Republic was founded in the early days, especially when the older generation of scientists were still there, the Republic's foundation went from being poor to being very strong. However, due to the problems of reform and opening up, technology introduction, etc., the country has more talents, better conditions, and larger funds, but it has lost its previous scientific research capabilities.
This situation lasted for a long time.
It is because people's thoughts have been affected, and the research experts and beasts are called beasts, plagiarizing papers, falsifying academic reports, etc., and the scientific research expenses are spent on personal consumption, and even misappropriating these expenses to support women...
Although this is just a part of the garbage, they are a great insult to the older generation of scientists and all the technicians who have devoted their lives to the development of the motherland!
Compared to the older generation of scientific and technological personnel today, they are completely a bunch of garbage.
Liu Yijiu could not imagine how painful it would be if he had appeared in that era and wanted to accomplish something.
These old technicians in front of us are definitely hardworking old scalpers.
They must be allowed to perform at the top level!
If so, Liu Yijiu had no way to explain to other managers, so he could only hold it in his stomach.
On the second day, all the parts needed for the engine were transported to the assembly workshop. More than a dozen assembly fitters did different work. Some were assembled fans and impellers, some assembled shells, and some assembled pipes and electronic equipment outside the engine...
When assembly started, the problem was not too big, especially because the engine was too important. A large group of leaders kept watching them all day and stared at them for work, and these people were under greater pressure.
No problems are allowed.
With the work of many level 9 fitters and middle-aged fitters, the engine assembly progress is very fast.
The many parts that were originally scattered gradually became larger and smaller parts.
By the time of the final assembly, all these more than ten old fitters took action by themselves.
"No, I'm going to be 1 guide (0.01 mm, some are called 1 wire, which is a special name for the machinery industry), and I've disassembled it and reassembled it... I'm going to come a little... After passing, I'll come back a little..." Many things are special tools for testing.
Especially when assembling impellers.
Although the engine impeller adopts welding processing technology to make the entire impeller become a whole, the accuracy can also be guaranteed. When assembling the impeller into the engine and forming a whole, the entire engine is indeed the most complex, difficult and time-consuming work.
Several old skilled workers with gray hair took action personally.
It is to ensure that the impeller inside the engine can reach the designed concentricity, that is, when the impeller inside the engine rotates, the 21-level fan impeller is all rotated around the same straight line in the middle.
No matter how powerful the assembler is, it is impossible to ensure that two different swing body (circular) parts are completely guaranteed to be on the same straight line. At most, it can ensure that the straight line where the center of the two parts is located is infinitely close when assembling.
During the design process, the engine of the turbofan-8, with 21 impellers, is installed on a shaft, and requires that the center of each must be offset from the theoretical center by no more than 0.0015 mm!
A human hair is about 0.06~0.1 mm, which means that after assembly, each of the 21 impellers with a diameter of nearly one meter must be ensured that the deviation from the theoretical axis in the middle does not exceed one forty of the hair!
This is a tolerance that makes the insider feel terrifying.
Of course, the layman will not be too shocked at all, because they don’t understand how terrifying the assembly accuracy of one forty-tenth of hair is!
Even, they know that the data is very small.
Chapter completed!
