130. Guandi Temple
Zhongtiao Mountain is located in the southern part of Shanxi Province, between the Yellow River and the Weishui River, between the Taihang Mountains and Hua Mountains. Its mountain is narrow and long, hence the name Zhongtiao.
Zhongtiao Mountain is one of the 72 blessing places in Taoism and is the residence of Zhao Gongming, the God of Wealth. Due to its special geographical location, Zhongtiao Mountain, as the gateway to Guanzhong, has been a must-fight place for military strategists since ancient times.
But what really made the Chinese people remember this mountain was a great war during the Anti-Japanese War.
On May 7, 1941, under the command of General Tada Shin-chan, the Japanese North China Front Army began a full-scale attack on Nakajoyama from east, north and west with three aviation brigades.
The 5th and 14th Army, which were stationed in Zhongtiao Mountain in the Chinese Kuomintang, was inadequate to pre-preparations and lack of unified command. Except for a few breakouts, most of them were scattered, 35,000 were captured and 42,000 soldiers were killed. However, the Japanese army only suffered less than 700 deaths, with a war loss ratio of 1:60.
The Battle of Zhongtiaoshan was actually called "the greatest shame in the history of the War of Resistance Against Japan" by Chiang Kai-shek. However, looking at the entire battle situation, the Kuomintang army still held on for 20 days without air supremacy, no heavy weapons, and the supply line was cut off, and the Japanese army used a large number of poison gas bombs. They did not humiliate the honor of Chinese soldiers.
Luo Kang, Lin Zi and Zhuge Yun, who got off at Yuncheng North Station, settled in a nearby hotel near the station, and took many magic weapons and rain gear out and came to a noodle restaurant for lunch.
"The mountain is too big, where should we start looking for it?" Zhuge Yun took a big mouthful of cut noodles, looked at the map on his phone and said to Luo Kang.
"I just sensed Grandma Hu's soul. I don't know what's going on. Now I can only determine a general direction. It seems that we can only look for it bit by bit." Luo Kang picked up a piece of oil with chopsticks and put it in his mouth and said.
"Are you here to travel to Zhongtiao Mountain?" The owner of the noodle shop said enthusiastically when she saw that the three of them were not locals.
Lin Zi said: "Yes! How should we go to Zhongtiao Mountain from here?"
The boss turned around and brought out a plate of cut watermelon from the kitchen and put it on Luo Kang and his dining table, saying: "There are too many fun places on Zhongtiao Mountain. There are four major ditches near Huanglong Temple, Yangzhuang River, Nangou, and Manghe River. There are four major ditches with rocks and streams running through them. There are many macaques in the forest, and they are not afraid of people. There are more than a dozen natural caves in Zhongcun, and the stalagmites and stalactites are very beautiful. There are many precious plants near Dahe Tangwang Temple, and 15 national first-class protected plants can be seen there; the mountains and rocks in Wulaofeng Scenic Area are majestic and steep, and there are large areas of original forests; Yuwangping, a little farther away, can overlook the Yellow River from the top of the mountain. Laojun Pavilion has a long history, and it is said that Taishang Laojun often appears,..."
"Then where is the closest attraction here?" Lin Zi saw the boss's wife's introduction and had no intention of stopping for a short time, so she took the opportunity to interrupt her.
After a little thought, the boss's wife said, "That's Guandi Temple and Yongle Palace."
After Luo Kang and the other two walked out of the noodle shop, they took a taxi directly to Guandi Temple.
As the name suggests, Guandi Temple is a temple commemorating the martial saint Guan Yu. As Guan Yu’s hometown of Guan Yu, Guandi Temple in Jiezhou Town is the largest in the country.
Although it is rainy and rainy now, there are still endless pilgrims coming here to worship.
The three of them walked into the gate of Guandi Temple with the crowd of pilgrims. They saw a long street running through the east and west, along the street, with many separate small halls on both sides, and the titles given to Guandi by the emperors of all generations were enshrined.
Continue to move forward and they come to the gate of a palace that is significantly higher than other buildings.
Luo Kang looked up and saw that the plaque on the hall door was written in golden Song font: Chunqiu Tower.
Lin Zi said: "It is said that Guan Yu loved reading "Spring and Autumn Annals" when he was alive. The reason why he said it was trustworthy; if he did not believe it, how could he say it? This famous quote from "Spring and Autumn Annals" also became Guan Yu's motto throughout his life."
After saying that, the three of them walked into the Chunqiu Tower and saw a huge statue of "Guan Gong Reading Spring and Autumn Night" sitting majestic in the middle, and beside him was standing a statue of Zhou Cang who was fighting against the sword for Guan Yu.
Zhuge Yun said: "I suddenly thought of a folk legend about Zhou Cang. According to legend, Zhou Cang has three hairs at the soles of his feet, so he can carry the Qinglong Yanyue Sword weighing 82 pounds and catch up with Guan Yu's Red Rabbit Horse.
Before the Battle of Maicheng, Lu Meng of the Eastern Wu bribed Zhou Cang's fellow villager and shaved him his feet. So on the way from Guan Yu to Jingzhou from Maicheng, Zhou Cang was caught and killed by Lu Meng because he did not follow the footsteps of the Red Rabbit Horse."
After hearing this, Luo Kang smiled and said, "In fact, one pound in the Eastern Han Dynasty was only equivalent to the current 224 grams, and the Qinglong Yanyue Knife with a total of more than 80 kilograms, but in fact it was more than 30 kilograms. Guan Yu didn't have to send someone to resist the knife at all."
"Luo Kang, please try to locate grandma's soul from here!" Lin Zi said to Luo Kang.
"Okay!" Luo Kang agreed, taking off his backpack, hoping to reduce the burden and helping him concentrate.
Maybe he couldn't control Luo Cheng's physique well. His movements were too large and his backpack hit a tourist. The slender wooden box that was originally crossed across the top of the backpack fell to the ground. The male and female swords inside rolled out, making a harsh metallic impact sound.
Because there are many shops to buy souvenirs around Guandi Temple, and the weapons models of the three brothers in Taoyuan are popular products, so the tourists in the Chunqiu Building were not surprised to see someone carrying such controlled knives. The three of them hurriedly squatted down and put the two swords back into the box.
"Be careful! If you scratch the senior sister Mai on my scabbard, it will be a disaster. That's Dong Yun's last pen!" Zhuge Yun complained to Luo Kang.
"Okay, 2D boy, I will be careful in the future!" Luo Kang agreed, handed over the backpack and sword to Zhuge Yun, and then focused on sensing Grandma Hu's soul.
After a while, he shook his head and said to Lin Zi: "I can only feel that the soul is in the southwest direction, and the specific location and distance cannot be determined."
Lin Zi said: "Since the soul is not here, let's go to Yongle Palace to the west to take a look."
Luo Kang agreed and carried his backpack. The three of them turned around and walked out of Chunqiu Tower, returned to the street, and walked towards the gate of Guandi Temple.
But before they walked out of the door, they saw a little girl who looked only five or six years old, running fast on the street in the rain, while her parents followed her.
"The children are really disobedient nowadays. There are so many people on the street and it is still raining. What if they run away and lose them?" Lin Zi muttered alone when she saw this scene, then possessed herself and blocked the little girl.
"Children, don't run around! Mom and Dad will worry!" Lin Zi said to the little girl.
However, the little girl frightened Lin Zi as soon as she opened her mouth. She said in a voice that only middle-aged men had: "Where did you get your male and female double-stranded swords?"
