Chapter 561 Quarterly Summary

On September 12, 1939, in order to strengthen political and strategic jurisdiction, ensure the maintenance of important transportation lines in the occupied areas of China, and support the puppet regime of Wang Jingwei, the Japanese base camp established the China Expeditionary Army General Headquarters in Nanjing.

The Japanese headquarters appointed General Nishio Suzuo as the commander-in-chief, and General Seishi Itagaki as the chief of staff, and the Central China Expeditionary Army number was revoked.

In order to ensure the security of the occupied areas and support the puppet regime, the headquarters of the Japanese Chinese Expeditionary Force attached great importance to the central China region and arranged strong mobile troops in Wuhan, attempting to adopt a strategy of offense as a defense to attack the Chinese troops in Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi in a timely manner.

This task naturally fell on Okamura Yasuji's 11th Army.

At 7 o'clock in the morning on September 14, the Ryotaro Nakai Division and the Yahei Division of Saito from near Fengxin, Jiangxi to attack the 184th Division of the 60th Army of Luhan, which was stationed in Huibu, and at the same time launched a restrained attack on the positions of Song Kentang Army and Sun Du's 58th Army.

The sound of Japanese guns and cannons broke the suffocating silence and expectation, but Luo Zhuoying, commander of the Chinese Army in northern Jiangxi, put aside the anxiety that had plagued him for many days, and instead felt relieved.

As soon as the battle ended, Xue Yue issued an order to Luo Zhuoying, asking him to command the headquarters to carry out gradual resistance and look for fighter jets to fight back.

Xue Yue emphasized that the situation was very urgent. If the main forces of the three Japanese divisions in the east were allowed to successfully rescue the Japanese army surrounding Changsha, the battle to defend Changsha would have to end in failure, and the Ninth War Zone would have to give up Changsha.

Xue Yue clearly stated: "Since the enemy is going to fight to the death, we cannot live to see them enter Hunan. If we fight to the death, I will not investigate; if the living losers are killed, I will die."

From Xue Yue's words, Luo Zhuoying understood this: the battle in northern Jiangxi is only allowed to succeed but not fail, otherwise it will lead to eternal regrets.

Luo Zhuoying was quite confident and sure about Gao An and Xiushui, who were mainly attacking the Japanese army.

On the Gao'an side, the defenders have built quite solid positions over the past few months, including stronghold-like semi-permanent field fortifications, where each point is connected into a line, and then the lines are connected into a surface.

Various firearm bunkers are covered, with barbed wire and deer forts in front of the bunker. The fire nets in front of the position and in the position are tightly woven. The back slope of the position is behind the position is covered with shielding and grass grilles to facilitate rest.

Although the military strength of Xiushui is relatively weak and there are only two armies, most of the troops are newly reorganized, poorly equipped and weak in combat effectiveness, but the Xiushui area is easy to defend but difficult to attack, and the large Japanese troops are not easy to deploy.

After five months of confrontation with the Ninth War Zone, the Nakai Division and the Saito Division finally fought again, and the first Changsha Battle began.

On October 6, the headquarters building of Dongxing Trading Group, New York.

Meng Wuan presided over the third quarter summary meeting of the group company. The participants were either senior executives of each branch or heads of important departments.

Currently, Dongxing Trading Group has expanded its branches such as trading companies, clothing companies, entertainment companies, food companies, pharmaceutical companies, logistics companies, paper products companies, catering companies and publishing houses.

Its flagship products include stockings, men's and women's clothing, very cola, instant noodles, lunch meat, penicillin, Harry Potter novels, sanitary napkins, McDonald's chain fast food restaurants, etc.

Over the past year, Dongxing Trading Group has been expanding and growing from scratch like a snowball, and has vaguely become the atmosphere of a business empire.

The current tentacles of the group company not only extend to all Chinese American settlements, but also quickly extend to all large and medium-sized cities in the United States. At most, an extremely strict business network and interest chain can be built in a year.

One day in the future, Yang Fan can even manipulate the political circle, and even the US president cannot make unfavorable decisions and plans for China.

If Yang Fan did not withdraw a large amount of funds to purchase strategic materials, but instead made every effort to develop commercially, the current scale of Dongxing Trading Company would have to grow several times.

As Dongxing Trading Group became bigger and bigger, in order to consolidate its foundation and make steady progress, Yang Fan sent nearly 100 elite teams to the United States to help Meng Wu'an support the scene.

Xia Yu's father Xia Houcheng and mother Shi Lanxin also returned to the United States to show their strength. After all, China is fighting in China, and the wartime economy implemented by the Hu Ben Military Defense Zone is not a market economy.

Industry such as military enterprises, transportation, banking and finance, water, electricity and gas, urban construction, chemical factories, food processing and other industries are firmly controlled by Yang Fan, and Xia Houcheng and his wife do not have much room to display their talents.

Therefore, after many considerations, Xia Houcheng, at Yang Fan's suggestion, returned to the United States on a merchant ship to help Meng Wuan preside over the daily work of the pharmaceutical company.

The first item of the meeting is the quarterly work summary report, and the heads of each branch make speeches and summarizes them in turn.

Tong Weiwen took the lead in speaking: "Last quarter, our trading company purchased a total of US$21.58 million in materials, including US$7.21 million in arms, US$5.75 million in crude oil, US$4.27 million in steel and cement building materials, US$3.67 million in automobiles and machinery, and US$680,000 in grains.

Through transportation companies and self-pickup, 24.79 million various materials were sent last quarter!…”

The trading company Tong Weiwen is in charge of is actually a money-spending company, responsible for purchasing various strategic materials. A small number of them are shipped to Qingdao through formal channels, while most of them are Yang Fan using Taobao system to receive goods on door-to-door basis.

Meng Wuan nodded and said, "Well, it's very good! Your trading company is the most important department, which is related to the life and death of the Hu Ben Army in China. It can be said that our entire group company is revolving around you!

You must be clear and careful in your accounts and do two accounts well. You must never leave any handles for outsiders, otherwise the consequences will be serious!"

Tong Weiwen nodded solemnly and said, "Please rest assured, Chairman, I will never let down the chief executive and your cultivation, and ensure that the task is completed. If there is any mistake, come and see you!"

"very good!"

Meng Wuan then looked at Du Mei, the second place on the right, and nodded.

With the opening of the Dongxing Trading Group Company, Du Mei has now grown into a strong woman who stands alone and is entrusted with important tasks to be responsible for presiding over the daily work of the publishing house.

"Ahem!!"

Du Mei cleared her throat and said loudly with great excitement: "Chairman, our publishing house sold a total of 4.2 million copies of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and 3.07 million copies of "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" last quarter. The market sales were extremely hot, with a net profit of more than 5.3 million US dollars.

In addition to continuing to print these two novels this quarter, we will also be able to print "The Prisoner of Harry Potter and Amagnetic Caban", which is expected to sell at least 12 million copies, and the net profit will not be less than 8 million US dollars!..."
