Chapter 2 Survival is not easy

The city of Tener is located in the southern western part of the empire. Compared with the grand scenery along the southeast coast, the city of Tener seems a little less prosperous. However, for people living in Tener, this place is paradise compared to other countrysides full of earthy smell.

Du Lin looked at the busy streets with curious eyes. Although he had seen a more prosperous and advanced city in his dream, it was just a dream, but now it was real. He weighed his backpack with patched on his shoulders, looked around the streets excitedly, and at the same time he was also thinking about what he should do first.

It is inevitable to learn culture. He doesn't know a single word on the street, which will limit his future development. Secondly, he needs to find a job that can support himself in a short time, without requiring much salary, whether there is new water, as long as he can have a simple residence and two meals.

Walking on this strange city street, while feeling a little scared in my heart, I feel that the sky in the city is bluer than in the countryside, and even the air makes people feel comfortable.

"Hey..., the boy over there!"

Dulin looked in the voice, and next to a car that seemed a bit funny to him, but in the world's latest model, a man with a dome felt hat hooked his finger.

"Yes, sir, is there anything?" Du Lin walked over immediately. He was not very clear about what this decent man who seemed very rich and decent called him, but he didn't care much about anything he was new to establish.

The man looked up and down at Du Lin and tilted his head slightly. There were a few boxes behind the car, which looked heavy, "Help me move them to Room 411 on the fourth floor."

Du Lin was stunned, but soon his face was filled with a smile. He carried his backpack, walked to the edge of the box, and moved it hard. The box was very heavy, and he made a bracket with wooden strips outside the box. During the loading process, some liquid seemed to be shaking inside. The man seemed very surprised and pointed to the five-story building on the side of the road, indicating that he would hurry up.

Du Lin moved the heavy box to the fourth floor with some breath. When he was in the countryside, he was already one of the main laborers in his family and usually had to do some heavy physical labor. Although these things were heavy, they were not taken seriously by him.

He walked upstairs and found 411 according to the number he learned in the coins. It should be this room. He kicked the door lightly with his feet twice. After a while, a gap opened. A man with a somewhat gloomy face looked at him behind the crack, his eyes a little gloomy.

"It was a gentleman downstairs who asked me to bring these boxes up." Dulin explained.

The door opened a little wider, and the guy leaned out and looked around. The long corridor was quiet and there was no trace of anyone. The man opened the door at this time. Du Lin noticed a detail. While opening the door, the guy put his right hand behind his back and pulled it out again.

He looked at the three boxes in Du Lin's arms, and there was a look of surprise on his face, "You are very strong!" and said, he moved away from the position and asked Du Lin to go in, "Just put the things behind the door."

After putting things down as he told him, the guy pushed Dulin out of the room a bit rudely, then closed the door with a peng.

Looking at the closed wooden door, Du Lin was stunned for a while, then shrugged and went downstairs.

The gentleman downstairs did not leave. After seeing Du Lin, he didn't say anything. He took out a one-dollar denomination note from his pocket and stuffed it into his hand. Before Du Lin could thank him, the guy drove away.

Looking at the car that disappeared at the end of the street, Du Lin whistled. It seemed that making money in the city was not as difficult as expected. Look, in just over an hour, he made a dollar, which was enough to earn three days of income for ordinary people.

People always have a certain sense of pride for the first time in everything, even if it is a stupid thing. While thinking about the first dollar he earned with his own labor in his life, he was looking for the next place to live on the roadside. In fact, what he most hoped was to find a place to customize leather utensils. The profession of cobblers will never go hungry. This sentence was heard from an alcoholic who went to Wild Alfalfa Town to buy wolf skins.

A piece of wolf skin worth ten yuan - there are always coyotes in groups outside the town of Wild Alfalfa. Most of these coyotes are attracted by some livestock in the town and have become the thing that the countrymen hate the most. People in the town will use traps to kill these coyotes, then peel them off intact, and sell them to leather merchants who come once a month.

In the mouth of the leather merchant, these wolf skins that can only be sold for tens of dollars are carefully made by the cobblers and can be sold for a sky-high price of more than ten dollars or even dozens of dollars!

So Dulin thinks that if you want to change the level of your life as soon as possible, becoming a cobbler apprentice is obviously the most direct and fastest way.

In fact, he doesn't know that it will be almost the same as other industries as they are done well.

After walking around the city, he almost fainted. He had never seen such a big city, so many people, so many roads and so many houses.

Of course, there are cars on the road.

I have never encountered any good things before, and as for looking for a cobbler... I have not found them.

Just by taking the water taken out of the roadside water pump and gnawing on whole wheat bread as hard as stones, Dulin completed the first step of his life and spent the night in the city.

Similarly, he felt something called loneliness for the first time. In a bridge hole, he curled up and gradually fell asleep in the whistling wind.

He traveled the entire Tener City for several days and found three leather goods stores, but the owner did not intend to recruit people. Dulin put his hopes on other jobs, such as tailors, carpenters, or other jobs that seemed decent. I don’t know if he was not lucky or for some other reason, no one was willing to recruit him. This also made him understand that there was always an insurmountable gap between ideals and reality.

Two weeks later, he finally found a way to make money from countless failures - car washing.

Just a bucket of water, a cheap soap, a handful of vine pulp that has dried and rotted naturally and only had tendons and a towel, which can be cleaned for the roadside cars. The combined cost of these things is no more than one yuan, and a car can be paid at least 50 cents per day. If you wash more than ten or twenty cars a day, won’t you be able to get rich quickly? According to some experiences experienced in your dreams, expand your business, hire people, and form your own brand effect...

It seems to be very confusing.

On the evening of the 16th day of the arrival of Tyneer, Dulin walked to the side of the road with a bucket of water. He observed that across the road was the Tyneer Grand Theater, and every day, many wealthy people drove here to enjoy opera and some comics, which was also the most profitable place.

When the sky gradually darkened, Tynere City seemed to wake up from a deep sleep and came alive! This city was enough to shock Dulin. It was hard for him to imagine what the "big city" in people's mouth would be like.

Didi, the whistle pulled him back from his distraction, and a new Ogm car parked not far from him. A guy with a serious face, wearing a windbreaker and a top hat got out of the car. He glanced at Dulin, patted his car, then took out two five-cent coins from his pocket and threw them on the ground, and stepped onto the steps of the Trnell Coliseum without looking back.

What an arrogant person!

Du Lin shook his head slightly, walked over with a bucket, thinking while walking, that if one day I would become a richer and more decent person than him, I would not be as arrogant as him!
