Act 174. Two parties

City of Berger.

This quiet town has become somewhat lively lately.

Some of the rare and gorgeously decorated carriages arrived from afar and drove into the Elbiore Manor, one by one. Although ordinary townsmen did not recognize the heralds on them, the family behind each herald is well-known in the mage world.

People vaguely guessed something, only a few people understood that ordinary weddings would not attract so many mages.

Anwena's mother stopped working and looked at the manor dyed with blood in the afterglow of the sunset, thinking about something.

And in the manor, servants have never been so busy.

They had been told in advance that the guests were pure blood families like the Elbiore family and had to be treated with the highest etiquette. Each servant was nervous. In the past, if he made a small mistake when serving the Elbiore family, he would be punished at most. Now, if he lost the face of the Elbiore family in front of the guests and waited for these servants, he might have a more terrifying end.

In the side hall in a corner of the manor, several young people were talking.

They sat in a relaxed position, enjoying the fruits and vegetables at hand. The boys led by Edward held their pipes and sucked the clouds and mist, which made the girls frown slightly.

"This thing is so exciting, Cologne, where did you get it?"

A short and fat man asked, taking a sniff of his heather pipe, a blurred light appeared in his eyes.

"Hmph, this is a secret."

Cologne became the core figure of the boys at this time. The small red powder he brought was very popular. The unprecedented stimulating feeling made these boys obsessed with it. He also became a popular target for everyone from a useless person who could not use magic.

"But then again, isn't Edward's new wife an affair bastard? Why did she invite us to the wedding?"

Another tall and thin man vomited a smoke ring and said quietly. When he mentioned "bamily", it aroused the disgusting expressions of several people, as if he was about to vomit when he heard this word.

"The wedding is just an excuse. I heard from my father that this time it was actually to discuss some things between the pure blood sects, otherwise how could the head of every family come."

The short and fat man said mysteriously, as if he had some important information.

"This is true. Recently, the mages have completely lost their awe of bloodlines, and even think that our families are old immortals who are behind the times!!!"

The tall and thin man suddenly became a little excited, his eyes widened. Obviously, he became a little paranoid and emotional due to the influence of certain substances in the tobacco.

"We must defend the glory of pure blood and unite to put pressure on the Magic Society."

He stood up, his hand holding the pipe trembling a little.

The words of the tall and thin man made the girls who were communicating their clothes and makeup experience frown. They didn't care about these things. As long as they could maintain the status quo, it would be perfect. There was no need to pursue those reputations that seemed illusory to them.

"Those things are being talked about again. This guy Cedric is obviously at home and doesn't even dare to say anything."

A girl said that her appearance looked sarcastic and mean, and she looked similar to a tall and thin man, probably his wife.

"Stop those guys, Ella, I saw a skirt before..."

......

Just as the juniors of the Pure Blood Family were gathering and chatting, in a large conference room in the Albiore Manor, twenty-seven mages were sitting around the round table. In the middle of the round table, a ball of flame was burning quietly, illuminating the slightly dim interior.

"Albiore, I've heard that you have a conflict with the closely watched Reiner Ian Grey. This is too big to us, we should not attract the attention of the Magic Society and all the high-level mages."

A bald middle-aged man said, his fingers slowly tapping on the table with several rings, as if warning.

"François, I thought you would be more a little more apt, but now, even if the family heirs have been deposed, you dare not cause trouble for the other party. It's really incompetent."

William Elbiore faced tit-for-tat. He had a good relationship with the François family, but when he saw the other party's cowardly behavior, he couldn't help but mock him.

"Everyone, our twenty-seven pure blood families should unite at this time, rather than fighting for their own interests."

An old man said that he had six gold edges on his cuffs, which was the highest among everyone present.

"Greenward, you're so light. It's not because your family has gained benefits from joining those mages, that you want other families not to cause trouble, you are a traitor from the pure blood sect."

Sitting opposite him, a bearded man sarcastically made Greenward's face turn ashen.

The discussion continues, and it is obvious that even among the pure blood sect, there are different factions.

Among them, the moderates led by Greenward advocated integration into the modern magic society and communicate more with the magic association to gain opportunities to improve their own bloodline.

In the eyes of these pure blood sects, it is acceptable to sacrifice some appropriately in order to obtain the survival of the family, and as long as the bloodline continues, nothing else matters.

Another faction headed by the family named Joesta, the radical faction, hopes to gain more power and status from the Magic Association. They try to put pressure on the status of the Pure Blood Sect. At the same time, they show a proud attitude towards ordinary mages. They recall the glory of the blood mages in the past, especially yearning for the supreme status of the mages during the ancient magic empire.

There is another faction, the family represented by the Baggins family. They do not want to have too much negotiation with the Magic Association. They advocate leaving the main material plane and going to a large number of semi-planes to develop. In places far away from the main plane, the pure blood sect can get more authority, which is a certain degree of escape.

Apart from these three factions, there are still several families who have no obvious tendency and have become targets of win over. Their issues were originally how to make the pure blood faction grow, but later on, they gradually became quarrels and attacks on each other, which made people feel tired.

Large-scale gatherings of pure blood groups can easily lead to the attention of the Magic Association, so they use this excuse to come to attend the wedding and hold meetings in private, but each time they cannot reach a unified end.

The debate lasted throughout the afternoon, until evening when everyone fell into silence, and William Elbiore, who was the host, slowly stood up.

"Everyone, it's getting late, why don't we go for dinner first?"

Although it is just a cover, tomorrow's wedding ceremony will still be carried out normally, and William does not want anything wrong.
