Act 218. Arguing

When I came out of the hospital, the sun had already set below the horizon. A few stars rose from the east sky, and the night was gradually swallowing the sky.

Reiner held that paper in his hand, the paper that had been buried for ten years, was lying quietly here at Reiner. The energy contained in it had been accumulated for too long, but he could never find a place to explode.

He knows what to do.

Now the paper review committee has already passed the time to get off work. I guess there should be no one in that huge office. Reiner recruited a carriage and returned to the hotel where he lived.

He looked at it carefully again, checked the paper, then picked up the pen and started writing the letter on a piece of paper.

The recipient of this letter is not a high-level mage or legendary mage, but the entire high-level council.

Although such behavior may seem a bit in line with the rules, Reiner believes that the value of this paper can afford such weight.

When he finished the long letter, it was already late at night. Reiner read the letter himself and sealed it with wax and handed it out to the hotel owl for delivery. Ordinary hotels do not have such convenient services. It is only because the hotel has a certain cooperative relationship with the Magic Association that owls will always be available.

Early the next morning, Reiner arrived at the paper review committee in a carriage.

He was the first person to arrive, and the crowd at the door had not yet gathered, and Reiner was able to enter the manor smoothly.

Reiner, who had printed five copies of the paper in his hand, returned to his seat. At this time, Bear Bear walked into the office yawning.

"It's so early, Little Reiner, it's really early today."

Bell picked up the cup first, soaked a cup of coffee before he slowly took his seat.

Afterwards, the other people also arrived at the office one after another. Today is the day of a regular discussion meeting. Everyone is sorting out the papers that need to be discussed at the meeting later, and there is no communication.

About half an hour later, Director Pasival stood up and clapped his hands.

"Let's have a meeting."

Several people followed to the conference room next door, and they were still in their original seats. Reiner was sitting next to Igor with the stack of papers in his hand.

"What's this?"

Igor was a little strange. Reiner seemed to be holding a copy of the paper, but logically, he would not receive the paper review work.

"I'll know later."

Reiner didn't explain, and just glanced at Pasival.

"So, let's start today's meeting, first of all..."

Pasir said as usual, but soon a raised hand interrupted his next speech.

"...Reiner, are you doing something?"

Everyone's eyes turned to Reiner, and the young mage slowly stood up and said.

"Everyone, I have a paper here, and I think it has the value of priority discussion."

Hearing Reiner's words, the judges in the conference room were a little confused.

Reiner's daily work is to organize the papers reviewed by other reviewers. As an assistant reviewer, he will not read the papers as the first reviewer. So where does the paper in his hand come from?

"Renner, where did you find your paper?"

Roger asked, he had no feelings for the young mage, and was simply puzzled.

"It was handed over to me by an old man. This paper was her son's paper. In the past, this paper was rejected, but I think the review opinion was not correct at that time."

Reiner's explanation made Pasival raise an eyebrow.

"Wait, do you mean, this paper is the same as those outside the wizards who want us to re-evaluate our paper?"

Hannah whispered, and she glanced at Pasival before continuing to speak.

“I don’t think those papers are anything to discuss.”

"Is it another perpetual motion machine?"

Roger quipped, and he smiled, but when he saw the cold faces of the people around him, he cleared his throat and stopped talking.

"Sir Hannah, why not look at the paper first and then comment?"

Reiner said, then looked at Pasival.

"Director Pasir, the purpose of this paper review committee was to reevaluate those that may be buried and innovative papers. This article in my hand can definitely be called subversive. I swear with the Hornheim Golden Cup in my hand."

Lena's words made Pasir think. Originally, Pasir believed that Lena was a craftable material, so he spent time advising him to focus on improving his magical strength. But the conversation that night made Pasir know that Lena was not the same as him.

Originally, Pasir could of course forcefully reject Lenner's proposal, but this does violate the principle founded by the paper review committee. If Lenner goes to a senior wizard in the future, he may be held accountable. Therefore, Pasir nodded slightly.

"Tell me, Reiner."

Seeing that he had agreed, Reiner did not rush to say the content of the paper, but passed the copy in his hand to everyone present.

"Everyone, I suggest you better read this paper first."

He said, then added.

"This is a paper about mathematics and will not cause cognitive collapse, so everyone can rest assured."

This is a joke about his title like a skull-breaker.

Bear Bear smiled and took the paper, but frowned when he saw the title.

"The unification of equations of motion? This topic has not been broken for a long time."

You know, even the discoverer of the three major laws of kinematics, the legendary wizard Isaris Alberton, has failed here, and it is too difficult to unify various equations of motion.

But this is just as Reiner said, it is a mathematical paper. It only starts from the formulas of various motion equations and explores problems completely through derivation and deduction techniques. Bear Bear is not good at mathematics and is soon confused by the various changes in it.

But this did not prevent him from watching, until he saw the integration process of the two movements on the curved surface, and then, he saw the particularly conspicuous-1 in the symbol of the square root.

"What's this?"

Big Bear stared wide and looked at the paper with some disbelief. He was attracted by the formula. Even if his mathematical foundation was not very good, he could feel the harmonious beauty emitted by the formula. It was like a beautiful song, which could not tolerate any flaws and was pure and flawless.

Only this i, this imaginary number, is so weird and so difficult to understand, which makes Bear Bear feel his mind swell. For the first time, when he was reading a math paper, he felt that his cognition seemed to have a slight shock.
