Chapter 2023 South Putuo
Nanputuo Temple is located at the Wulao Peak in the southeast of Xiamen, adjacent to Xiamen, and facing Bicheng Harbor. The temple was built in the late Tang Dynasty and was called Sizhou Temple. It was renamed Puzhao Temple during the Zhiping period of the Song Dynasty. In the early Ming Dynasty, the temple was deserted and was not rebuilt until the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty.
Because he worships Guanyin Bodhisattva, it is similar to Guanyin Temple in Putuo Mountain, Zhejiang, and is also named "Nan Putuo Temple" south of Putuo Mountain. It is one of the Buddhist scenic spots in southern Fujian.
The main buildings on the central axis of Nanputuo Temple include the Heavenly King Hall, the Great Praise Hall, the Great Compassion Hall, the Sutra Pavilion, etc.
There are bell and drum towers, meditation halls, living halls, warehouses, Minnan Buddhist College, Buddhist Mainland Chinese Academy, and a release pond in front of the temple. The "Taixu Master Memorial Tower" has been newly built after the temple in recent years.
The entire temple is magnificent and staggered.
Master Wuze, abbot of Nanputuo, led the way in front, while explaining the historical heritage of the temple to Tan Xiaotian and his family.
When talking about the richest man’s trip, no matter where he goes, he enjoys the extraordinary reception specifications. It is normal for the abbot of the temple to accompany him in person.
The purpose of telling Xiaotian's visit to Nanputuo is very simple. The vegetarian cakes and vegetarian vegetarian food here are very famous. He has heard of them for a long time, so he must try them this time.
Tan Mingyan is much more pious.
She came to worship Buddha and pray for blessings.
Since she had a son, she was like a different person.
Now I believe in all the religions she disdains in the past.
When passing through the Main Hall, Tan Mingyan told Master Wuze that she wanted to bow and make a wish.
Master Wuze waved his hand, and the little novice monk who was knocking on the wooden fish in the Buddha statue hurried down and changed to the abbot to go up.
Tan Mingyan knelt on the cushion, folded her hands together, and made a wish silently.
Master Wuze knocked on the wooden fish and chanted Buddhist scriptures in his mouth.
When... a bronze chime sounded, echoing in the hall, making people's thoughts disappear.
After Tan Mingyan made her wish, she stood up and waved her hand back. Fang Xin immediately sent a check.
Tan Mingyan stuffed the check directly into the merit box and said to Master Wuze: "Abbot, this is my intention, please add some lamp oil to the Buddha!"
The incense money of the richest man’s wife is not just a little lamp oil, everyone knows this.
The abbot clasped his hands together and lowered his head, "Amitabha, thank you for the donor."
The king grabbed Tan Xiaotian's clothes and widened his eyes, "Dad, what are you doing?"
"She is begging Buddha to bless you!"
"oh!"
The king nodded in a vague way.
"Talk about the donor, talk about the wife, please come here."
The abbot led Tan Xiaotian and his family of three out of the Main Hall through the back door and continued to tour the back.
Ten minutes after Tan Xiaotian and his family left the hall, the gate of the Great Hall opened again and other tourists entered.
"What happened? Why did it suddenly close?"
“Is this more important?
There must be a big shot here just now.”
Among the crowd, Ji Hefeng and Xi Lian, whom they had just met with their family, were listed.
They really chased Nanputuo.
First, they were curious and wanted to see who this family was. Second, they did have some thoughts in their minds.
At the foot of the mountain, Ji Hefeng saw the three black business cars and knew that the family of three he met at noon was in the temple, but he didn't see them until he entered the hall.
Hearing the comments from the tourists next to him, he already had an answer in his mind. The big man they were talking about was probably the family of three.
It is impossible for ordinary rich people to temporarily close the Main Hall in Nanputuo to only receive their family.
Ji Hefeng thought of what the little boy named Da Wang said, his family lives in the castle in Gallic, maybe it is true! The abbot led the Tan family and the three to visit the temple for a long time, and finally invited them to enter their own meditation hall to enjoy tea.
Hu Jian’s tea is famous all over the world, including Dahongpao, Tieguanyin, and Zhengshan Xiaochong.
Master Wuze is also a well-known monk in Hu Jian’s religious circle, so his tea will never be bad.
He personally cooked tea and asked the chat Xiaotian and his wife to taste it, and by the way, he talked about some Buddhist Zen techniques.
The king couldn't stand this too serious and dull atmosphere, so Guo Dongyue and Fang Xin took him out for a trip.
"Brother King!"
Ji Qian'er's sharp eyes were sharp-eyed, and suddenly she saw the king in the small square in front of the Heavenly King Hall. She ran over and raised the snack in her hand, "Brother King, eat vegetarian cakes."
Nanputuo's vegetarian cakes are very famous and are a local snack in Xiamen. Many people who travel here will buy a few servings to take as souvenirs.
"Thanks!"
The king was also very happy to see the familiar child. He took a piece of vegetarian cake and turned around to look at Guo Dongyue.
According to the rules, the king cannot eat other people's food outside, for fear of any accidents.
But this family has not met for the first time. At noon, they even gave a piece of cake to the king.
Guo Dongyue looked at the cardboard box in Ji Qian'er's hand, which clearly printed the words Nanputuo on it. It should have been bought here.
Guo Dongyue nodded, and then the king took a bite and ate slowly.
Ji Hefeng and Xi Lian finally met this little boy, and their efforts were not in vain.
"Kid, we're meeting again."
Ji Hefeng saw that there were two women behind the king and did not see his parents, so he squatted down, "Where is your parents?"
"I'm having tea with the old monk behind!"
The king's mouth was full of vegetarian cakes, and he was vague in his words.
Ji Hefeng thought to himself, sure enough, the sudden closing of the Main Hall just now is very likely to be related to this family.
"Uncle and Auntie, are you here to worship Buddha, too?"
"Yes! This is a very famous temple, and people who come to Xiamen will come to worship."
Xi Lian pulled the king forward. Although the couple had a little more utilitarianism, she really liked this beautiful and smart boy.
"No wonder, my mother kowtowed to the Buddha just now, and the old monk also helped her knock on wooden fish. My father said that my mother was asking the Buddha to bless me."
The child said it interestingly, which made the three of the Ji family laugh.
Xi Lian took out a few bottles of mineral water from her bag and handed it to Ji Qianer. Ji Qianer ran to Fang Xin and Guo Dongyue again, "Auntie, drink water."
"Thanks!"
Fang Xin squatted down and touched Ji Qian'er's shattered skin.
She has been married for a year and has no children yet. She especially likes little girls like Ji Qianer.
They sat on the steps in front of the Heavenly King Hall to rest.
At around 4 pm, Tan Xiaotian and Tan Mingyan came over with the abbot.
"Talk about the donor and the wife. The vegetarian food in this temple is very famous. I also invite you to enjoy the glory and have a vegetarian meal here."
Tan Xiaotian came for this and immediately replied with a smile: "Thank you, abbot, you should be respectful, it's better to obey your orders. To be honest, I have heard of the name of Nanputuo Suzhai, and this time I came here with my name."
The abbot smiled and said, "Talk about the donor, then please!"
When they passed by the Heavenly King Hall, the king ran to Tan Mingyan, "Mom, I met the little sister again at noon. She invited me to eat vegetarian cakes, and I also wanted to treat her to something."
Chapter completed!
