Chapter 31 Mashoe Ivan(1/2)

The battle at the escort scene has ended, and two Dusak dragged the man who was not dead and had an oval scar on his face to the lieutenant.

"I'll just ask once." Winters sat on a large rock and wiped his sword, without raising his head, "Where is your hiding place?"

Four bandits who were captured alive knelt in front of the lieutenant and shivered. The wolf townsmen holding crossbows stood around the captives and glared.

Once the people in Wolf Town, which have the advantage in numbers, are effective organization, it is no problem to deal with this group of thirty or forty bandits.

Winters led the cavalry to charge, and the bandits who were still performing their ferociously immediately scattered.

When Gillard arrived with his teammates, the battle completely turned into chasing and fleeing enemies.

The four bandits who were still alive were lucky because the four were captured by the lieutenant themselves, and the lieutenant wanted to leave a few lie to ask questions.

The other bandits were not so lucky. The people in Wolf Town hated them very much, and they would kill them if they caught them.

The seriously injured bandits didn't even give them any pleasure, so they went to hell in fear and pain.

Without Winters' torture, several bandits had seen the power of this young officer and spit out all the things they knew like pouring beans on bamboo tubes.

...

This was a premeditated ambush.

The various estates in Wolf Town travel to Revodan every year. Although it is safe, it also makes them an extremely obvious target.

The bandits and robbers had long been envious, but no one dared to attack due to the momentum of the convoy and the reputation of Langtun Dusak.

Until this year, this time.

According to the prisoner's confession, they were already guarding the siege half a month ago, and at that time the Wolf Town Convoy had not set off.

However, when the people of Lang Town went to Rewodan, they encountered raining upstream, and the water level of the Turbulent River skyrocketed. The convoy detoured Xiaoshi Town and by chance avoided an ambush.

But luck will always be used up, and when they come back, they are falling into the trap of this bandit.

To be precise, this is not a "group of" bandits. A small group of bandits are incapable of taking over the Wolf Town Convoy.

Several bandits merged into this group of more than 40 people, and even robbers came from Linjun to join the gang.

...

In the middle of a hidden open space in the dense forest, a small dark iron pot was being set up on the fire and gushing and cooking things.

A bearded man was stirring the stuff in the iron pot with a long-handled spoon, while another skinny man slowly peeled the carrots.

There were more than a dozen simple tents around the fire, which looked like a temporary camp.

"Tomy! Haven't you finished peeing yet?" the bearded man shouted impatiently.

A dirty blonde kid with her pants ran back from outside the camp: "Here! Come!"

The thin man chuckled and said, "Lag people have a lot of shit and urine."

The blonde child ran halfway and suddenly stopped moving and looked behind him in confusion.

"Staying in a hurry? Isn't I going to help me?" the bearded man shouted dissatisfied.

"I heard the sound of horse hooves over there!" the blonde child pointed behind him and said loudly.

"The sound of hoofs?" The bearded man threw down the spoon and stood up suddenly: "That should be the boss coming back!"

When the blonde turned around, he saw only a black afterimage, and then severe pain came from his forehead and he lost consciousness.

The bearded man and the thin man tried to run away, but the sound of horse hooves surrounded him from all directions.

A fire-like red war horse passed by the two of them, and in an instant, the old rider on the war horse beat the bearded man to death with a stick.

The thin man was scared to pee his pants and knelt on the ground and begged for mercy.

Another rider threw out the rope and dragged the thin man down.

"Don't waste time, search!" Seeing that everyone in the camp had been controlled, Winters, who was pressing the formation behind, signaled Dusak not to get entangled with the prisoners.

Sergey and the other Dusaks began to drag the tents in the camp one by one.

"There are still people here!" Dusak shouted.

Sergei immediately jumped off the saddle, grabbed the collar of the man in the tent and asked viciously: "Say! Who are you? If you don't say you will beat you to death!"

"Don't kill me." The man with his hands and feet locked in iron shackles repeatedly begged: "It was the bandits who tied me here."

Dusak's exclamation came from the distance: "There are people from Wolf Town!"

...

At the hiding place of the bandits one kilometer away from the siege point, all three left-behind bandits were captured by Winters and Dusak.

They rescued several kidnapped passers-by at the same time - and the eldest son of the Benting family.

But Mr. Benting could no longer stand the torture.

Old Benting went to Revodan and only brought his eldest son. When he returned, Benting and his son secretly set out in advance, but unfortunately they were intercepted by bandits near the escort.

When they found that the two had only land deeds and no cash, the bandit beat Benting and his son up.

Little Benting survived strongly, and Old Benting was beaten to death and disappeared that night.

The impermanence of fate is sad.

...

After cleaning the battlefield, the convoy divided into two groups at the Pangtuohepu site.

Mayor Mitchell continued to walk towards Wolf Town with his large troops.

Lieutenant Montane led six Dusaks and four large chariots to pull the bodies of the prisoners and bandits back to Gervodan as the same route.

On the day when Winters finally returned to Wolf Town, there was less than half a month left before the deadline for submitting the militia roster.

In previous years, when the convoy returned, every household in the town was very happy, but this year it was particularly sad.

Mourning, funerals and sacking had to be held at the same time.

The convoy's coachman and hired workers were killed and injured more than 20 people, and the seriously injured soon could not hold on to their deaths.

In comparison, Dusak was indeed fierce. No Dusak was killed in battle, and only six Dusak were injured.

The Wolf Town manors jointly contributed a sum of money to mourning and pension for the dead and injured.

The second lieutenant brought the captives and bandits to the county garrison to learn that many of the bandits who ambushed the Wolf Town convoy had bounties on their heads.

Especially the bandit leader with oval scars on his face - the bastard was so hard that he was killed and did not die after being stabbed behind his back - he was still a famous evil bandit, nicknamed "Massword Ivan".

Mazhan Ivan's bandits fled in Xinkendi and committed crimes. There were eight counties in the province, and seven counties offered rewards for his head.

"Ivan, a horseshoe, was originally Dusak," Major Ronald told Winters.

When he was serving, he was kicked in the face by a war horse and left an oval horseshoe mark, so he got the nickname "Horseo".

Later, when he was drunk and caused trouble, he accidentally killed someone. Masshao ran away for fear of crime and simply started a business of robbery and murder.

Because the horseshoe itself has extraordinary force and experience in the army, a group of thugs soon gathered around him.

This guy is well versed in the key points of the army and is also clear about the tricks between the legion and the local area.

In Xinkendi Province, only the army military police are capable of cross-county searches, but robbery is a local task.

So Mashang only robs civilians and does not touch the army. If one county cannot stay, it will jump to another county. The county governments have a great headache for Mashang bandit gangs.

Horseshoe has committed more and more cases, and its reputation has become increasingly popular, and its nickname has changed from horseshoe to "Mashoe Ivan".

"Ivan, the famous horseshoe." Major Ronald patted Winters on the shoulder and praised happily: "In the end, he fell into the hands of Lieutenant Montane, and was captured alive. Good thing!"

Mashoe Ivan was arrested in Tiefeng County, which also made Major Ronald very face-really.

Especially if you capture it alive, it means there will be a "grand" public execution - Winters doesn't understand it at this time.

In fact, not only did Mashoe Ivan, but because several groups of bandits were committed in groups, there were also several other well-known thieves who died under the sabre.

But compared with the fierce name of Mashoon Ivan, other bandits are nothing.

"It is mainly the credit of Mayor Mitchell and Dusak of Woltun." Winters sighed: "I can only understand why you said that why are you just bandits and robbers, and the timing of the ambush can be grasped so well."

Scroll in advance, reconnaissance repeatedly, attack halfway, and seize the moment when the convoy's escort force was dispersed...

If Winters hadn't returned to the rescue in time and the Lieutenant happened to be a spellcaster, it would have been very likely that Evan would have succeeded this time.

Major Ronald was stunned for a moment and sighed: "The rebels are always more dangerous than the bandits."

Once a person with military skills does evil, the harm caused by a person who causes is far from being a risky farmer.

In the imperial era, the bandits with the strongest destructive power were often bankrupt nobles and down-and-out knights.

...

Major Ronald kept Evan, and the Major asked Winters to bring the remaining seven bandits back to Wolftown.

"You arrested the people, and they will be judged by the law. I will leave the horseshoe behind, and you will take the remaining guys back to the wolf and kill them." Major Ronald specifically instructed: "We must calm down the resentment of the families of the dead and injured, and also serve as a warning. When the matter is done here, I will let the executioner go to your place."

The power of judgment is that the officers of a small town can judge the life and death of a person. This is a power that the officers of the Venetta Republic dare not even imagine.

It is not a false statement that the Palatou Army has a feudal lordship in Xinken Land.
