Chapter 8 The Past(1/2)
Le Yao was shocked when he saw his brother and Du Jing bringing breakfast together.
"What did you do?" Le Yao said, "Why did it make it so dirty?"
Zhou Luoyang said: "I told you to sleep first, why are you still awake?"
Du Jing put the mud-filled suit jacket on the ground next to the shoe rack and nodded to Le Yao.
"I can't rest assured." Le Yao shook his wheelchair and said stubbornly, following Zhou Luoyang from the hallway to the kitchen. Zhou Luoyang opened the refrigerator, opened the juice, poured it in half, and handed it to Du Jing.
Du Jing was very careful not to dirty Zhou Luoyang's house, took off his muddy socks, and stood barefoot on the floor drinking juice.
Zhou Luoyang first took off his shirt and then pushed his younger brother into the bathroom to take a shower.
"Isn't it okay?" Le Yao asked worriedly, "I'll see something wrong with you when I come back in the afternoon.
Zhou Luoyang came to his senses and pulled the shower curtain: "It's okay, that's Du Jing, my college roommate."
Le Yao asked: "Did you just go to see him when you went out yesterday?"
Du Jing opened the bathroom door and came in, and also beat her shirt naked, threw her shirt into the laundry basket, unbuttoned the belt, and started urinating.
"Yes." Du Jing said in the sound of water, "We are going to open your grandfather's shop together."
Le Yao was blocked by the shower curtain. Zhou Luoyang wanted to remind Du Jing, but thought that this was the case in the dormitory before. He took a shower in the bathroom, and Du Jing came in directly to use the bathroom and never avoided him.
Le Yao said: "Someone is heading to the house today..."
Zhou Luoyang: "Just hang up next time."
Le Yao laughed, but he didn't expect his brother to guess what he wanted to say. Du Jing whistled and asked Le Yao: "Is there a caller ID?"
Le Yao did not answer. He didn't know how to get along with this new friend who broke into his life.
Du Jing said: "Use your towel and shave."
"Use it," Zhou Luoyang replied, "that brown, there is a new toothbrush in the cabinet. Don't you take a shower?"
Du Jing shaved his beard and washed his face, and said, "If you rub your back, I will wash it."
Zhou Luoyang did not answer the call, so Du Jing left the bathroom and went to check the caller ID of Zhou Luoyang's house.
"Do you guys want it?" Le Yao asked.
"Yeah." Zhou Luoyang said, "I lived together for two years in the university dormitory, and I once talked about everything."
Le Yao said: "You can see that it's better than Fang Zhou?"
Fang Zhou is Zhou Luoyang's good friend.
Zhou Luoyang suddenly remembered a sentence and laughed. Le Yao said inexplicably: "What are you laughing at?"
"Nothing, better than him." What Zhou Luoyang thought of was Fang Zhou asking him, "How good are you and Du Jing?" Zhou Luoyang joked, "How much can you help each other masturbate each other."
Le Yao poked his head out and looked out of the shower curtain.
"The school email is here," Zhou Luoyang asked, "I'll reply later."
"Yeah." Le Yao yawned, obviously she was already very sleepy.
Zhou Luoyang wiped Le Yao's hair, changed his clothes and carried him out, and put him at the dining table. However, Du Jing gusts of wind into the bathroom.
"I'll first," Zhou Luoyang went in, "You accompany Le Yao."
"Together?" Du Jing looked up at the nozzle and twisted it a few times.
"Stop making trouble." Zhou Luoyang said.
Du Jing went out to accompany Le Yao again, and Zhou Luoyang finished taking a shower. He saw that the two of them seemed to have already had a chat last time. They rushed Du Jing to take a shower, found his T-shirt to change it for him. The size was a little smaller, so he could barely make do with it.
Before breakfast, Du Jing poured himself a glass of water, poured out a lot of pills from the medicine box, and ate them one by one under Le Yao's gaze.
"Are you sick?" Le Yao asked.
"Yes." Du Jing did not avoid him and replied.
After the three of them had breakfast, Zhou Luoyang was packing his things and heard Du Jing say to Leyao: "I'll carry you in and sleep. Which one is your room?"
"I'll do it myself." Le Yao wanted to move to the wheelchair.
Du Jing picked him up, and Le Yao had to say, "Thank you."
Zhou Luoyang collected the garbage and heard Du Jing take Le Yao away, he said, "Luoyang's younger brother is my younger brother, you're welcome."
He stopped in the kitchen, remained silent for a moment, and gently pinched the bridge of his nose. Tears were rolling in his eyes, and he wanted to pour out without hesitation.
When he entered the room, Du Jing was already lying on the bed, looking at the things in Zhou Luoyang's drawer, and took out a photo of their college days from it.
Zhou Luoyang went forward and kicked the drawer. At the moment of flashing lightning, Du Jing immediately pulled his hand, but was not clamped. The drawer made a muffled sound.
Du Jing: “…”
Zhou Luoyang looked at Du Jing, and Du Jing gave in to the side and signaled him to sleep.
"Sleep in." Zhou Luoyang said.
"You sleep inside," Du Jing replied, "this was how I slept in the dormitory before, don't resist."
Zhou Luoyang had no choice but to step over Du Jing, and Du Jing stretched out his arm and signaled to Zhou Luoyang.
"No." Zhou Luoyang knew that it meant to ask him if he was pillowing, and replied, "Sleep, you must be very tired."
Du Jing's voice suddenly became a little tired and replied, "Yes, I haven't slept well once in three years."
Zhou Luoyang swiped his phone and replied, "Let your little roommate sleep with you."
Du Jing couldn't hear this and was already asleep.
Zhou Luoyang couldn't fall asleep. Although he hadn't seen each other for a long time, Du Jing's reappearance, accompanied by the many secrets hidden behind him, was like a storm and rain in an instant, as if he had destroyed his entire world.
Just like the typhoon that blew on the day they met.
What exactly is he doing? Interpol? Detective? Agent? Special police of state organs? Where did he go in the past three years? What happened?
Zhou Luoyang still remembers that they discussed what they wanted to do in the future after graduating from college, but only once, but only that time.
Du Jing's reply to this was: Haven't figured out yet, what do you want to do?
"I have no idea."
That day, Zhou Luoyang took Du Jing to take a mental health class together, and the topic was about the realization of self-worth in life.
It was a rainy day. Outside the floor-to-ceiling glass of the multi-functional classroom, the rain slowly crawled, forming a cross-flow of water, just like the fate of people in the long river of time, occasionally gathering into a stream, and then going their separate ways after passing through obstacles.
Just like the rainy day when we met Du Jing many years later, Zhou Luoyang still didn't know his future self, and would face the death of his father and the paralysis of his younger brother one after another, and his life would undergo earth-shaking changes overnight.
"My grandfather has a store," said Zhou Luoyang. "I always want me to take over, but I don't want to be the store manager."
Du Jing asked: "What store?"
"Antique clocks," Zhou Luoyang replied, "but if you don't have a goal, you might go back to be a store manager. After all, people have to have a job."
Du Jing rarely talks about himself, and Zhou Luoyang doesn't ask. They are like most normal roommates, who have lunch and dinner in the cafeteria, sit together in public classes, and go back to study at night, listen to music, and read a while. Whenever Zhou Luoyang is sleepy, he will ask Du Jing for advice. Du Jing nods every time, never disobeys Zhou Luoyang, turn off the lights and sleeps.
It was really appropriate to live with Du Jing. At first, Zhou Luoyang thought he was too silent, but meeting this roommate was the most clever arrangement of fate. They didn't like to stay up late, didn't quarrel about cleaning, wouldn't make any noise when the other party was sleeping, and they could understand and coordinate their work and rest time, and they loved to be cleaner among boys.
You don’t even need to install a bed curtain, and you can turn on the air conditioner when you want to turn on it, and you don’t have any opinions on electricity or water bills.
No one is calling out to play games, both parties do not have girlfriends, do not need videos and endless calls, and they are free to read, surf the Internet, listen to music, and watch movies.
This is the roommate who met Zhou Luoyang, who respects each other's private space the most, and when they get along, they do not seem restrained or cramped at all, as if the dormitory is an independent small world that belongs only to them.
Zhou Luoyang knew that Du Jing had aroused many discussions about his personality, his family background, and the scars on his face.
Whenever he was taking professional classes, Du Jing sat alone in the corner of the last row of the classroom, deliberately keeping a distance from his classmates, and never going to have dinner together. He rarely talked to others unless necessary.
He doesn't like dealing with people very much, and Zhou Luoyang can understand this personality. Some people define friends as divided into a very small territory and cannot hold many people, but those who are recognized can see their true side.
Zhou Luoyang accepted Du Jing on the third day, and Du Jing also took nearly a month and a half to accept Zhou Luoyang.
He felt that he never liked to deal with too many people, and always felt that it was very tiring. But from childhood to adulthood, everyone told him that socializing is a necessary one, and a life without socializing is an incomplete life. This made him motivated for many years, but after meeting Du Jing, he began to slowly discover that reducing socializing can lead to a complete survival, and even making himself more comfortable, so why not do it?
So he also learned from Du Jing, deliberately narrowed his social circle, and devoted himself to the places he was really interested in, and suddenly felt much more relaxed.
"I want to do some challenging work," Du Jing said.
Zhou Luoyang said: "What about it? Do you go to Mars to explore?"
Du Jing did not answer. On the podium, the professor talked about love and family again, and worked hard to instill the "correct" outlook on love and outlook on life in college students.
"Have you ever had a girlfriend?" Zhou Luoyang was a little curious.
"No." Du Jing came back to his senses and asked, "Where are you?"
Their conversations are always very polite, and they are almost polite, but Zhou Luoyang knows that this is the real Du Jing.
"Yes," said Zhou Luoyang, "but never had any relationship."
Du Jing nodded, Zhou Luoyang smiled and said, "Everyone said I am a central air conditioner."
Zhou Luoyang has talked to many girlfriends. He has been very warm to people since he was a child and is very good at taking care of people. He has many friends in middle school, which has caused a lot of complaints because of this.
This is the first time Zhou Luoyang talked about love with Du Jing. Zhou Luoyang is occasionally a little curious. Has Du Jing not seen those small movies? At least during the past month of getting along, Zhou Luoyang has never heard Du Jing open any related videos. Of course, although there are not many videos stored on his own computer, boys will always save some.
"Do you see this?" Zhou Luoyang shared it with Du Jing. Du Jing looked at it politely for a while and nodded.
To be continued...
