Chapter 7(1/2)

Kang Tong ran over from the school gate and pulled the co-pilot to find out that it was the driver who drove. Lian Jue was in the back row and nodded at him. He stuck out his tongue and called Uncle Liu, then closed the car door in shame and climbed into the back seat, sat next to Lian Jue with his schoolbag in his arms.

"Dad, are we going to have dinner at the big house now?"

"Um."

Kang Tong nodded with his cheeks and replied, and stopped talking.

Kang Tong became nervous when the car turned into the large yard. He twisted his clothes with both hands and glanced out of the car window with his eyes.

The car slowly drove through the garden and parked in the parking space outside the villa door.

Before getting off the car, Lian Jue noticed the collar that Kang Tong had turned up when he took off the child's seat belt, and raised his hand to help him smooth it out. Before Kang Tong turned his face, he had already pulled the door and got out of the car.

Kang Tong whispered from behind: "Thank you, dad."

Kang Tong followed Lian Jue and walked through a very long corridor. He originally looked around with his eyes secretly, and his eyes undoubtedly met the cleaning servant. The other party smiled at him, so he timidly withdrew his eyes and dared not glance around.

Lian Jue stopped at some point, Kang Tong lowered his head and followed behind without paying attention. His forehead hit Lian Jue's back and was about to apologize, but his arm was pulled by Lian Jue.

"Dad." Lian Jue called out to the man and pulled Kang Tong's thin arm to bring the man in front of him.

"Call Mr. Chen." Lian Jue whispered.

The man sitting on the sofa had dark hair, but there were deep wrinkles at the corners of his eyes. When he looked up, he looked a little stern. Kang Tong was a little scared and hid a little, but was pushed against his back and stood up straight.

"Hello Mr. Chen."

Kang Tong obediently asked ok, but thought to himself: Why isn't it Mr. Lian?

Chen Chu twisted a cup of tea and took a sip before saying to Kang Tong: "Child, come here."

Lian Jue pressed his shoulder comfortably and gently pushed him on his back.

"Be generous." Lian Jue's low voice sounded above his head. Although it was gentle, it also had a bit of majesty.

Kang Tong had no choice but to walk over with a tough bullet.

Chen Chulian was not as terrible as he thought. Instead, he was surprised to be kind to him. He grabbed a handful of pistachio from the plate of the tea table and put it in his hand. Kang Tong couldn't take it, so he had to put it next to the table for the time being. Chen Chulian pulled him to sit down on the sofa next to him.

"What's the name?" Chen Chulian asked in a gentle voice.

He was about to answer "Lian Kangtong", but Lian Jue who came over had already answered him.

"Call Kangtong."

Chen Chulian didn't say anything and looked at him. Kang Tong covered up his psychological loss a little and said to Chen Chulian again: "Hello sir, my name is Kang Tong."

Chen Chulian then smiled: "As boys, you should be more generous. Although you are still young, don't hide behind adults."

Kang Tong nodded: "Thank you, Mr. Chen, I understand."

Chen Chulian smiled and patted Kang Tong's hand, chatting with Lian Jue in a mess.

The contents of their chatting were medical terms that Kang Tong couldn't understand. He lowered his head beside him, without saying a word or making noise, and listened quietly to the adults. But it was boring after a long time. Kang Tong glanced at the pistachio that Mr. Chen had just given him, and reached out to him.

Because there was no pocket, Kang Tong had to put a handful of pistachios in his hand on his legs that were close together and slowly peeled the shell.

After peeling a few pistachios, Kang Tong accidentally saw Chen Chulian looking at him. He was stunned for a moment, raised his head, and handed him the pistachios he had just peeled in his hand: "Sir, do you want to eat it?"

Chen Chulian shook his head and smiled softly: "The child is sensible."

Kang Tong felt a little embarrassed, blushed and buried his head. Chen Chu retracted his eyes, looked at Lian Jue lightly, and sighed:

"It's a pity to have a kinship, but it's better to have a kiss."

The pistachio that had just been peeled off on Kang Tong's hand suddenly fell to the ground, and Chen Chu frowned slightly.

Lian Jue's expression remained unchanged. He smiled slightly, said nothing, quietly crossed Kang Tong's shoulders, and then called a servant to clean up the pistachio that fell to the ground. Although this action was nothing, Kang Tong's inner uneasiness seemed to be relieved. He blinked and tried hard to resist the bitterness of crying.

No one spoke for a while, and it was a bit abnormal.

"Ning Xue returns to China the day after tomorrow. Did she tell you?" Chen Chulian suddenly said.

Lian Jue paused for a moment and said, "Yes. I'll come over to pick her up the day after tomorrow."

Chen Chu finally brought a smile to his face and shook his head: "You have already agreed on it, so she will bother you, I don't have to worry about it anymore."

Lian Jue nodded: "You are so serious, so there is no trouble."

After that, he stayed at Chen Chulian for dinner. After several people took their seats, a beautiful aunt came down from the upper floor, stroked Chen Chulian's shoulder, and sat down next to him.

"Is Xiao Jue here?" The woman greeted Lian Jue first. When she saw Kang Tong's eyes bent and she smiled very gently, "Tong Tong? Is it called Tong Tong?"

Kang Tong didn't know what to call him, so he nodded and looked at Lian Jue like help.

"Mrs. Chen." Lian Jue said.

"Mrs. Chen is good." Kang Tong quickly learned Taoism.

The woman glared at Lian Jue unhappily: "Ranshuo, what's the name of "Madam"? Tongtong is called Auntie."

Kang Tong hesitated for a moment, and before he could speak, Chen Chulian frowned and scolded in a low voice: "You are the messenger, the messenger of your generation."

"What kind of seniority?" The woman lifted her curly hair scattered behind her ears as if nothing had happened, and looked at Kang Tong and smiled, "Tong Tong can do whatever she wants, don't pay attention to them."

Since he was a child, he keenly realized that the relationship between this family did not seem to be simple. Kang Tong didn't dare to speak anymore and nodded politely, but he didn't dare to lift his head up anymore. He could only pretend that he didn't know anything and continued to eat.

When I was at home, my aunt often cooked Chinese food in order to take care of him. But Chen Chulian's dinner was different. They cooked Western-style meals. The wine glasses were placed in a row, and three pairs of tableware were lined up from the inside to the outside. The brilliant lights were covered on the bright tableware, which made him at a loss.

Kang Tong is not good at using knife and fork, and the sound of a metal knife slashing on the porcelain plate when cutting the steak is a bit harsh.

Chen Chulian took a sip of wine, ignored the sound, turned around and asked Lian Jue: "How old is the child?"

"He's ten years old." Lian Jue said.

Kang Tong silently added in his heart that his tenth birthday was not yet celebrated.

Chen Chu put down the wine glass, his tone remained unchanged, but his eyes swept over were unique to his parents: "Why can't you even eat a meal when you're so big?"

Kang Tong was startled, and the knife and fork in his hand fell on the table, and a sudden sound came out.

The dining table suddenly became quiet.

Kang Tong lowered his head at a loss, and noticed that the muscles on Lian Jue's arm were tightened a little, and he became even more panicked. He immediately put his hands down from the dining table and sniffed gently.

After all, Chen Chu couldn't stand the woman next to him: "Eat it and eat, what to do if you scare the children?"

Lian Jue's voice was also colder than before: "I'm busy lately and haven't taken time to teach him. Let's have a meal."

Kang Tong didn't dare to touch the knife and fork again. He tightly twisted the ears hanging from the edge of the tablecloth with both hands under the table, worried that he would embarrass Lian Jue again, and tears were in his eyes, but he didn't dare to fall out a drop.

He sniffed in a low voice, trying to hold back his tears, and handed a napkin next to him.

He said in a hunched voice: "Dad, I didn't cry."

Lian Jue didn't say anything, put the tissue on his legs and retracted his hand. Kang Tong blinked and pressed the tissue on his eyes while no one was paying attention to him. Before he could raise his head, he saw Lian Jue put something in front of him.

"Eat." Lian Jue took the napkin he used in his hand and threw it into the trash can next to him.

Kang Tong looked at the chopped steak in front of him and raised his head to say thank you. Lian Jue had turned his head and continued to talk to Chen Chulian.

After dinner, he had no intention of leaving. Lian Jue and Chen Chulian went to the study upstairs to discuss work, leaving Kangtong alone on the sofa in the living room to watch TV.

The TV was transferred to the news station, and all the national affairs were broadcast. After watching it for a while, he felt it was boring, but he didn't dare to transfer to the children's channel, and he didn't dare to run around. He had to shrink his hands and feet and continue to stare blankly. Suddenly, his feet were itchy, and Kang Tong looked down and saw it. It was a very small white Pomeranian, biting the slippers on his feet.

In the past, he rarely had the intention of contacting a puppy. At this time, he saw Pomei like a snow ball. He liked it tightly and was a little scared. No one on the left and right noticed him. He took the opportunity to carefully stretch out a finger and poked the puppy's head. As a result, the puppy raised his head and yelled at him fiercely. He was startled and quickly withdrew his hand.

A female voice with a smile rang next to her: "Oh, don't be afraid. It just pretends to be fierce and doesn't bite people."

Kang Tong turned his head and said, "Mrs. Chen."

"I said don't call Mrs. Chen, it sounds very old." The woman smiled helplessly, sat down next to him, and carried the puppy into her arms. Seeing that he was a little scared, she turned the dog face with her butt facing Kang Tong.

“Do I look very old?”

Kang Tong shook his head, hesitated for a moment, and decided to tell the truth: "...you are like a sister."

These words made the woman happy. She smiled and reached out to pinch Kang Tong's face: "So good!"

In fact, Kang Tong had no idea about the age of a woman. She just thought she was young and spoke very gently. At this time, she smiled happily, and Kang Tong slowly let go of her guard, so she boldly asked, "Do you have children?"

Only women with children can call them aunts. The aunt at home once taught him.

The woman touched the puppy's head: "Chen Chulian hopes I have it. What is the quality of his own sperm? Do you have no points?"

Seeing the child look confused, she noticed that she was saying the wrong thing and hurriedly said, "It's okay. Do you like puppies?"

Kang Tong nodded, looked at the puppy in her arms, wanted to touch it, and asked hesitantly: "Will it bite?"

The woman took his hand and placed it on the back of the puppy: "It's very gentle and won't bite you." After thinking about it, she said, "But the puppy outside can't touch it casually, maybe it will bite it."

The fluff on the puppy's back was very soft, and he couldn't help but touch it for a while. The woman smiled and said, "If you want to play with the puppy in the future, you can ask the driver to send you over. Anyway, your father is so busy."

Kang Tong quickly pulled his hand back and shook his head gently.

The woman was stunned and reacted and sighed, "Are you afraid of Chen Chulian? Oh, it doesn't matter, he has that bad temper and has a stinky face all day long. Just like your father, he is actually not bad. Besides, you may not be able to see him if you come, don't be afraid."

Kang Tongxin said that it was not the same at all.

Although Lian Jue is always stern, Lian Jue is not fierce at all... she is very gentle.

The conversation downstairs went smoothly, but the upstairs was different. When Lian Jue came down, Kang Tong was already asleep leaning against the sofa, covering his body with a pink blanket of houndstooth.

Lian Jue didn't call him, but picked up the child from the sofa. He politely said goodbye to the servants of the Chen family and asked the driver to drive back to his residence.
