Chapter 124 Getting along

(Please give me a monthly ticket)

Luo Tai looked at the sunset in the west and said to Matilda: "Let's go."

The two walked side by side toward the city. On the way, Luo Tai lowered his head and asked Matilda, "Are you hungry?" Matilda nodded. Luo Tai continued, "Do you like Chinese food?"

"Of course," said Matilda. "I heard that Chinese food is the best food in the world, but I've never tried it."

"We stay in a hotel, I can't cook for you. Let's go to Chinatown to eat." Luo Tai said.

"Okay." Matilda said happily.

No one knows how many Chinese cities there are in the United States, because whenever there are places where Chinese people live, people will naturally mark them with the mark of Chinese color. Whether it is called Chinatown, Chinatown, Chinatown or ina-town, they are the end and base of Chinese life.

The entire Chinese-American population of New York City is about 500,000, but only 80,000 people live and do business in Manhattan Chinatown. Even so, this place is already the most Chinese-sized Chinese in the Western Hemisphere, so some people proudly call New York Chinatown "the Chinese city of the United States."

But what is strange is that Chinatowns in other cities in the United States, such as Chinatowns in Washington, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Boston and other cities, have beautiful archways as landmark buildings. However, Chinatown in New York has no plaques. Only the bronze elephant of Lin Zexu standing in Qishilinguo Square and the statue of Confucius in front of Confucius Building tell people that this is Chinatown.

When Luo Tai and Matilda arrived in Chinatown, night had already fallen, but it was still lively. There are many restaurants, jewelry stores, wedding studios, career agencies, and travel companies run by Chinese people. To calculate it, there are about 500 restaurants. More than 260 jewelry stores and 25 are very good. These shops and stores not only provide extremely convenient services for Chinese people living in the United States, but also open a good place to alleviate homesickness for Chinese people who have lived on the other side for a long time.

On Baoli Street, Luo Tai found a restaurant called "Louwailou", which mainly operates the Shanghai cuisine. After he brought Matilda in, the waiter enthusiastically arranged for the two to sit at the dining table near the window and handed the menu to Luo Tai.

There are two fonts on the menu, Chinese and English. Luo Tai looked at it and asked Matilda, "What do you want to eat?"

Matilda shrugged and continued, "I don't know Chinese food at all, please watch it."

Luo Tai picked up the menu sideways and said to the waiter, "Come on these snacks. Let's have two more bowls of soup." The waiter took the menu and smiled and said, "Okay, you guys wait."

"How many years have you been to the United States? Or was it born in the United States?" Matilda asked Luo Tai with her chin on her hands.

Luo Tai said, "It's not long."

"No wonder you know how to do kung fu. You don't have many kung fu in the United States. Can you teach me?" Matilda was still thinking about Luo Tai's figure just now when he was practicing swords.

"You want to learn guns for a while and you want to learn kung fu for a while. You can only learn one of these two things." Luo Tai said with a smile.

Matilda's eyes rolled and continued, "Learn Kung Fu."

Luo Tai looked out the window and continued, "Kung Fu is not easy to learn, and he will endure hardships."

"I'm not afraid of suffering." Matilda blurted out.

"Okay, then from tomorrow, which woods we go to practice martial arts every day." Luo Tai said.

"Yeah." Matilda nodded.

While speaking, the waiter brought the meal up. Luo Tai picked up the chopsticks and asked Matilda: "Can you use chopsticks?"

Matilda held the chopsticks in her hand and fiddled with them for a few times. Then she shook her head at Luo Tai.

"So, look at me." Luo Tai said as he picked up a small bun with chopsticks and slowly put it in his mouth. Seeing Luo Tai's appearance, Matilda also picked up the chopsticks and picked up the bun. Her little hand trembled and picked up a bun. However, it fell down before it could move.

Seeing this, Luo Tai stood up, walked around behind Matilda and stretched out his arms to wrap her around, and then taught Matilda to use chopsticks step by step.

After studying for a long time, Matilda finally picked up a bun and successfully moved it to her mouth. She was very proud, but before she could put it in her mouth, the bun fell on the table.

"Oh, it's so hard. Eating a meal like this will make me exhausted." Matilda complained.

"Haha, you'd better use a fork." Luo Tai said.

"No, I have to try it." Matilda stubbornly continued to pick up the buns. She took a lot of effort and finally grabbed the buns to her mouth. Just as she was about to open her mouth, the bun fell on the table again.

"Bang!" Matilda put down her chopsticks, looked at Luo Tai who was chewing with a delicious taste, and said with a frown: "I can't eat this meal anymore. I'm too tired to eat Chinese food."

Luo Tai slowly grabbed a bun with chopsticks, handed it to Matilda's mouth, and said, "Open your mouth, try it."

Matilda opened her mouth, bite the bun, then held it with her hands, and started to eat...

Luo Tai shook his chopsticks and said, "The use of this thing does not require a lot of effort, but skills. You must be patient and understand, right? In fact, everything you learn requires patience."

Matilda seemed to have not heard Luo Tai's words. She helped her with her hands. After eating the bun in a few seconds, she chewed and said, "Wow, it's so delicious. What kind of food is this? I've never eaten such a delicious thing. Chinese food is really worthy of its reputation."

"This is called 'bun'. The taste here is only average to me. If you have the opportunity to taste my skills, you will never forget it in your life." Luo Tai said confidently.

"You can cook too?" Matilda said, wiping her mouth.

"Of course, and it's delicious." Luo Tai said.

"Oh, you're such a versatile talent." Matilda said, put down her chopsticks and grabbed the buns with her hands and ate them. Luo Tai smiled when he saw this.

"Does this look like an African native?" asked Matilda.

Luo Tai shook his head and said, "You can also grab the buns with your hands. But they are too hot when they are just out of the pot."

Matilda shrugged and said, "It's not hot anymore."

"Then you eat more. It seems that you are hungry. If you don't have enough, I'll order it." Luo Tai pointed to the dining table and said.

The two of them had a pleasant meal, and through this communication, the distance between them was closer.

"How old are you?" After dinner, the two walked out of the restaurant. On the way back, Matilda asked Luo Tai.

"Twenty-three." Luo Tai said.

"Then should I call you uncle or brother?" said Matilda.

"Call me brother, if you call me uncle, it seems like I'm very old." Luo Tai said.

"Ro...brother...are you? Or Tai...brother?"

"You might as well call me Luo Tai directly."

"Puchi." Matilda laughed, and she shook her head and said, "I'd better call you Uncle Luo."

Luo Tai stopped and said, "Am I really that old?"

"Of course not, but I like to call you uncle." Matilda said.

"God, okay, just do whatever you want." Luo Tai shook his head and continued walking.

"Are you married?" Matilda continued to ask.

"No."

"Do you have a girlfriend?"

"No."

"What did your parents do?"

"I don't have parents"

"There are no parents? Did you touch it from the crack in the ground?"

"Matilda." Luo Tai stopped again and said, "When I was having a meal, I was in a good mood and was thinking about how to avenge you, but now my mood has become worse again, because of your nagging."

"I'm sorry." Matilda smiled and said, "I didn't expect you to have no sense of humor at all."

"I don't have a sense of humor?" Luo Tai shook his head and said, "Okay, I'll tell you a joke, see if you smile?"

"Okay. But I won't laugh at ordinary jokes." Matilda said.

"Listen, a boss took three employees on a plane. The plane broke down halfway and needed to jump, but four people had only three parachutes. So the boss asked employee A, "How many suns are there?" A employee answered 'one'. OK, give you an umbrella; then he asked employee B, "How many months are there?' B answered 'one', OK, give you a hand; employee C saw that the question was so simple, and waited happily for the answer, so the boss asked 'how many stars are there?' When the employee C heard it, he said directly, 'Boss, I jumped off the plane by myself.' As he spoke, he jumped off the plane with a whoosh... Hahaha..." Luo Tai laughed at this point.

But Matilda looked at Luo Tai with a blank expression. Luo Tai stopped laughing, looked at Matilda with some embarrassment, and asked softly: "Well... isn't it very bad? You don't like it?"

"Puchi~~" Matilda suddenly burst out laughing and continued, "It's so funny to tease you..."
