Chapter 003 Turning to Hide the Bullet

No matter what, they are all Chinese, and they must be saved.

Lin Qiang glanced at them, walked over and picked up the dagger to cut the rope tied to their hands. The group of national troops untied the rope, and the leader hurried over and said earnestly, "Thank you for helping me, I wonder what the hero calls me?"

Lin Qiang was a little uncomfortable when he was called by a hero on the left and the other on the right, and he felt awkward, so he replied indifferently, "Just call me Lin Qiang."

Lin Qiang secretly observed about twenty people, but they didn't look like ordinary troops. He thrust his waist and asked, "Which unit do you belong to?"

A group of national troops looked at me and I looked at you, and they couldn't tell whether the other party was an enemy or a friend. They didn't know whether to say it or not, so they had to discuss it privately.

The headed general of the National Army, Lin Qiang, looked at the hero standing in front of him, dressed in extraordinary clothes and had an extraordinary demeanor, and his feet were filled with a leader's demeanor, and he must be extraordinary.

So he spoke to Lin Qiang and said, "We are from the 286th Regiment of the 1st Division of the National Army, and I am Lu Qing, deputy battalion commander of the Third Battalion."

Lu Qing didn't know if Lin Qiang was listening, but only saw Lin Qiang watching around.

"Mr. Lin, what are you looking at?" Lu Qing followed Lin Qiang's gaze all the way.

Lin Qiang looked at the almost wasteland in front of him. Although he had a map in his mind, he really didn't know where this place was, and Lin Qiang was a little disappointed.

When I first arrived, I was not familiar with the place and needed some people to guide me. Lin Qiang looked at Lu Qing and thought they should be familiar with the neighborhood. If they could have their help, it would be much easier to go to Beiqiao Town, Suzhou.

So Lin Qiang turned around and asked, "Where is this place? How far is it from Suzhou Beiqiao Town?"

"This is Caohu, and it's still a long way from Beiqiao Town." Lu Qing didn't know why, and asked again, "What are you doing in Beiqiao Town? There are all Japanese."

"Find something."

Before Lin Qiang finished speaking, a dying Japanese suddenly pointed a gun at him. He was about to shoot, but the sharp-eyed soldiers of the National Army shouted "Be careful!"

Lin Qiang suddenly reacted, but at this time the Japanese had already pulled the trigger. Seeing a bullet flying towards him, a flower would bloom on his head in the next second.

And just a few seconds away, Lin Qiang leaned back and dodged the bullet's shooting.

The Japanese, who had blood on the corner of his mouth, was shocked. How could there be someone who had such a fast reaction? The Japanese knew that they could not survive, but they still refused to give up. If the first shot was not hit, he was about to fire the second shot.

Seeing the Japanese lying on the ground pointing his gun at him, Lin Qiang naturally realized his purpose, kicked the crooked gun on the ground with his feet, steadily caught it with his hands, then quickly pulled the trigger, and gave him a final conclusion before the Japanese fired the second shot.

The national army was watching Lin Qiang. This person who suddenly appeared here had extraordinary military qualities and exuded a wise and shrewd aura.

As night fell, more than 20 national troops set off a fire on the river bank, and found some supplies and guns on the Japanese. Someone found an iron bucket. A group of people planned to dig some wild vegetables around and cooked them.

After escaping, they seemed to show extra joy, gathering in a group of people talking and laughing.

Lin Qiang came to the river bank, stroking the green grass on the bank, and the moonlight poured down like a tulle, adding a hint of hazyness to the calm lake.

A few frogs were heard deep in the shore, and a few fireflies were lingering in the cluster of green grass. Sometimes a breeze blew on the face, and the aroma of earth filled the fragrance.

Most of these were rare in his time. Lin Qiang was a little immersed in this temporary tranquility. No one knew whether tomorrow would be life or death. Even the land in front of him would be covered by war.

Lin Qiang held a handful of water and wiped it on his face, washing away the mottled blood stains on his face one by one.

Suddenly someone patted him on the shoulder from behind. Lin Qiang, who had been trained in military affairs, quickly turned around and was about to grab the man's hand and give him a backflip.

"Mr. Lin, it's me, it's me." Lu Qing shouted quickly.

Seeing that it was Lu Qing, Lin Qiang let go. He wiped the water from his face with his cuffs and asked lightly, "Is there anything wrong?"

"The dishes over there are cooked, so you can go and have some together!" Lu Qing said, pointing to the burning flame not far away.

Lin Qiang turned his head and looked at the shimmering river surface. He felt that he was not hungry at all. He thought he should let them eat more! Just as he was about to speak, Lu Qing grabbed his shoulder, and Lin Qiang raised his head and looked at him inexplicably.

Lu Qing made a "shhh" gesture, indicating that he should not make any noise. Lin Qiang did not move at all, not knowing what he was going to do.

Lu Qing tiptoed to the shore, picked up a bayonet and stabbed it into the water, and then a fish came up.

He said with some joy, "Hey! It's time to have a meat meal tonight."

It looks like it is a 30-year-old bayonet, also known as Tomosaka bayonet. Most of these bayonets are matched with 65mm Tomosaka rifles and should have been plundered from the Japanese.

"Come here together!"

Before Lin Qiang could think too much, Lu Qing pulled him to follow him. Lu Qing raised his high and forked the fish, shouting happily, "Brothers, we have fish soup tonight."

The group of national soldiers sitting on the ground cheered. They cut the fish with a knife and threw it into the pot and started cooking. One of the national soldiers picked some wild vegetables and put them in it to cook together.

Lin Qiang covered his nose lightly with his hand and looked forward. The Japanese corpses were blown away by his bundle of grenades, and more than a dozen people, some of their faces were blown off. Half of them were burnt, and their hands and feet were scattered everywhere.

There is a smell of blood outside this wilderness, and there will be flies and flying mosquitoes coming in a few days.

"Mr. Lin, come, let's drink some water first!" Lu Qing handed a kettle to Lin Qiang...

Then Lu Qing looked at Lin Qiang gratefully and said, "Mr. Lin, I really thank you today! If it weren't for you, we brothers might have died now."

"Yes!..." Some of them nodded and should drink.

"How did you get caught by the Japanese?" Lin Qiang took a sip of water and asked curiously.

Lu Qing lowered his head and sighed.

"This matter is a long story. Our entire regiment met the Japanese on the battlefield. There were many people who were the advantage and planned to take them out. As a result, we encountered the Japanese ambush halfway through. The entire regiment was more than 1,600 people, and they were almost beaten. The first and second battalions were completely destroyed. Our third battalion was responsible for guarding the positions. Before we could retreat, the Japanese fought over. At that time, our entire battalion was surrounded, and two-thirds of the brothers died. They could not continue to fight. There was no other way, so we had to surrender."

Lu Qing said helplessly, because he failed to defend his position, and felt guilty.

Lin Qiang pondered for a moment, frowned and asked, "So after you were captured by the Japanese, you became prisoners, and then they were pulled here to be sentenced to death?"

More than 20 national troops bowed their heads and said nothing, and the atmosphere suddenly became solemn. Lin Qiang looked at them for a moment. Although he was a little angry, what if he blamed them now? Moreover, this is neither his soldiers nor their comrades-in-arms.
