Chapter 403 Cedric’s Suspicion
Many people were disappointed when they heard that the club would only be open once a month... They thought it was once a week.
But before they could say anything, Professor McGonagall glanced over and everyone immediately shut up and walked out of the auditorium silently.
Kyle and the others walked forward along the corridor. After turning a corner, Cedric suddenly asked:
"Do you think, if I go to Professor Lupine, will he agree to let me face the Dementors alone?"
"I don't know." Kyle shook his head and said, "But I think if you really think so, you'd better go find him as soon as possible. Maybe by tomorrow, the dementors will no longer be in the castle.
You know, neither Principal Dumbledore nor Professor McGonagall likes those guys... the one in the auditorium is purely used as a teaching tool."
"That's true." Cedric patted his head, "I won't wait until tomorrow, I'll go now..."
After that, he started running back.
The others separated at the stairs and returned to the common room.
Kyle noticed that Kangna had not spoken and her expression looked very troubled. She also looked back in the direction of the auditorium from time to time.
"You also want to see Professor Lupin?" Kyle asked.
Kang Na nodded, then shook her head.
She really wanted to have her own Patronus as soon as possible, but she didn't want to face the Dementors... In other words, her original intention of learning this spell was to prevent herself from being affected by the Dementors.
There are some things that Kangna really doesn't want to experience again...such as her Animagus mouse in the first grade.
She had almost forgotten about it, but the last time the dementors appeared on the Quidditch pitch, she remembered the "big transformation into a living person" scene in the Forbidden Forest, and she felt so uncomfortable that she couldn't eat for several days.
.
When she sees a mouse now, she wants to kick it, and she almost has a psychological shadow.
Kangna shook her head again and made a random excuse: "I'm just worried about Cedric. Do you think he can succeed?"
"It should be possible," Kyle said, "but only if the professors agree."
Cedric is now on the last step. If he can't take it by himself, it would be a good idea to let others kick him.
Dementors are just right for this job, and they can kick pretty far.
The two walked into the common room and found a seat near the fireplace to sit down.
It is very late now, but there are still many people here, and everyone is discussing what happened in the club with great interest, without any intention of sleeping.
Kangna glanced at Kyle who was roasting sausages in the fireplace and asked in a low voice:
"In addition to dementors, is there any other way to help learn the Patronus Charm?"
"Yes." Kyle flipped the sausages on the tongs, "Patron saints can influence each other. A real patron saint can mobilize and deepen those happy emotions, making the process of learning this magic spell twice the result with half the effort."
Kangna blinked, "Then why didn't you tell Cedric before?"
"He didn't even ask." Kyle said matter-of-factly: "I thought he liked Dementors."
"Who would like that kind of thing..." Kang Na said speechlessly.
"It's hard to say, who doesn't have some quirks?" Kyle turned over the tongs again and continued: "And most importantly, this method is more suitable for beginners to simplify the process. Cedric has now passed this
stage, it’s the last step.
"If he can't find the trick, it will be useless even if a hundred patron saints surround him every day. In this case, the dementors will be of much greater help to him than the patron saints."
"What about me..." Kangna asked softly: "Will this method work?"
"Okay." Kyle said, "It's too late today. How about tomorrow? Go to the Room of Requirement."
"Yeah." Kangna responded softly.
By this time, the smell of grilled sausages had attracted many people, and the two of them stopped continuing the topic.
The Patronus Charm is a difficult spell. After two hours of training, many people were hungry.
The rich smell of grilled sausages made them salivate.
Some people left the common room immediately, and when they came back, they had a lot more food in their hands.
Bread, pumpkin juice, pie...and a whole roasted chicken and large steaks.
This has to be said about Hufflepuff's advantage.
Others can only go to bed hungry, but they can have a sumptuous midnight snack in a short time.
And you don’t have to worry about being caught wandering at night.
The kitchen was next door, so unless the professor or Filch were guarding the door, they would be caught.
Soon, the sausages were grilled.
Kyle got a fork and handed a slightly burnt sausage to Connor.
Kangna took it with gleaming eyes and took a bite.
"How's it going? Are you ready?"
"Yeah." Kang Na nodded repeatedly, "It's delicious."
"That's good." Kyle then also took one.
Kangna blinked, feeling that something was wrong, but the fragrance that kept coming from the tip of her nose made her quickly forget about it.
After a while, Cedric came back.
As soon as he walked in, he was hit by various scents.
"Is there any more? Give me one too!" He walked up to Kyle and snatched a sausage without any explanation, and then took some toast from other tables.
"It's done so quickly?" Kyle asked.
Cedric shook his head, "No, I came right back."
"Because of Professor McGonagall?" Connor said, "Does she still disagree with your contact with Dementors?"
"No, Professor McGonagall had already left when I went there. It's Professor Lupine who seems to be feeling a little unwell."
Cedric said, "I waited at the door of the auditorium until everyone had left. Just as I was about to go in, I saw Professor Snape handing him a large cup of potion and saying that he needed that."
"Professor Lupine is sick again?" Connor asked.
In the first half of the school year alone, Professor Lupine had already asked for leave twice, once with Professor Snape as his substitute, and once with Professor McGonagall as his substitute.
And I heard from Qiu that Ravenclaw also missed several Defense Against the Dark Arts classes.
"That's right...he drank all the medicine."
Cedric said, "And if you observe carefully, his complexion is indeed worse than usual. I felt it was a bit inappropriate to let him come into contact with the dementors at this time, so I came back directly."
"It doesn't matter, you can go find him again in a few days," Kyle said, "or wait until the club starts next month."
"That's all."
Cedric put down the pumpkin juice in his hand and said thoughtfully: "Have you ever wondered why Professor Lupine didn't find Madam Pomfrey...
I mean, she was also present at the time, and she should be much more professional than Professor Snape."
"Maybe Madam Pomfrey has other things to do," Connor said.
