Chapter 5(2/2)

McCloskey also sighed. Thomas and Laimbeer's prestige had been lost, and Iron Fist had not grown up. Due to internal strife, this team was indeed finished.

"How are you going to clean up this mess?" Chuck Daly asked.

"Let me think about it, let me think about it," McCloskey said with a headache.

"Should we notify the boss?" Daley asked.

"Such a big thing, of course. Chuck, you and I can go see him together." McCloskey nodded.

An hour later, in Bill Davidson's office, the three people sat together, quite helpless.

Davidson is 69 years old this year. Like McCloskey, he has a military background. He is a famous American philanthropist and legal scholar. He spent $6 million to buy the Pistons in 1974 and has held it to this day.

After a moment of silence, he sighed: "Jack, Chuck, do you think there will be any talented rookies willing to join the Pistons in the future?"

The two of them were stunned. The incident happened so suddenly that they hadn't thought about it yet.

However, it is really possible. There is no shortage of talented rookies in the team. Who wants to come to the Pistons and be beaten by a bunch of veterans? What the boss said may very well become a fact.

Davidson is a little tired. The Pistons have lost their future. After 17 years in his hands, it may be time to take action.

He thought for a while and said: "Go to the hospital and comfort that young man. He did nothing wrong. When a man faces humiliation, he must dare to wave his fist.

In addition, he is the only young man with potential in the Pistons now, and he may not be there in the future. We should train him well and never let him go."

McCloskey considered: "Bill, you are right, if we let him go, the Pistons will really be finished, and no more young people will be willing to join the Pistons."

Davidson finally explained: “Contact the local media to promote him, we must praise him and try to eliminate the negative impact.

Also, before Thomas comes back, let him start and give him the ball."
