chapter.22 The Believer's Commitment(2/2)
Klein's answer was obviously more professional and responsible, as if he had already prepared similar lines in his mind:
"Problem? Can I know the specific details? Oh, of course, considering that our identity certificate has not been replaced yet and we cannot apply for a 'weapon use license' or a 'hunting license', I am afraid it will be difficult to deal with those types of things that may involve
Gang members, entrusted by extremist organizations.”
Of course, if I give you enough and the divination results are pretty good, I will consider taking on such a difficult task...
He added to himself mentally.
"No, no, it's not such a dangerous commission!" Lionel waved his hand and sighed in distress, "But maybe it's not completely without danger... Recently, I encountered some theft problems that gave me a lot of headaches, but
I haven’t been able to think of any good solution.”
Theft problem? Encountered a thief?
Klein's first reaction was the good deeds done by the Beyonders of the "Stealer" path, and he recalled his miserable experience of being rummaged through by that nasty little thief bird.
"Huh, if you two are willing to help me solve this trouble, how about you come to my house for a while after leaving the photo studio?" Lionel held the Holy Emblem of the Sun on his chest expectantly.
Klein thought for a moment and was about to answer, but in his peripheral vision, he saw Alice changing her sitting position and letting go of the champagne glass that had almost never left her hand.
"Lionard, as far as I know, on the first day you met my sister Claire, you forcibly took her back to your home, and then chatted with her about the Eternal Sun." She half-squinted her eyes.
, said with a teasing smile, "Claire complained to me about this matter, and I could feel how confused she was... You seem to like inviting people to your home?"
What? Alice was forcibly taken home by this person, and then they talked about the eternal blazing sun?
Klein was stunned for a moment, unable to understand the cause-and-effect relationship at all.
But soon, he realized that Lionel was suspected of being a fanatical believer and felt that it was not an unimaginable picture for him to behave similarly.
The Sun believer answered quite naturally, and even showed a little confusion on his face:
"I am indeed very happy to have people visiting my home, but the stolen location is in my living room. If you are willing to accept the entrustment, you can start the investigation immediately. Wouldn't this save time on traveling back and forth?"
Klein continued to observe Alice's reaction. When he saw her waving her hands wordlessly to indicate that there were no more questions, he faced Lionel's expectant look and adjusted the flat glasses on the bridge of her nose:
