The bedroom is a little dark.

The crystal lamp and bathroom were very luxurious. The large four-corner bed looked like a rose-colored coffin. The coldness of the marble spread from all directions, making Karan couldn't help but shiver.

She walked to the window and blocked every crack.

She couldn't help but inhale: "It's too cold here..."

"There is floor heating, it will be fine in a while."

Xiovir took off his coat, then threw Karan's bag full of rabbit's feet into the corner. Karan quickly came over and picked it up.

Xiovel frowned and said, "Go take a shower."

Karan was dissatisfied with his commanding tone and she stood still.

Siovel came over and touched her chin with his finger: "Do you want to wait on the bed for me to finish washing first?"

Karan's skin got goosebumps, and she quickly ran to pack her clothes and take a shower.

After she finished washing, Xiovir went back, and when he came out, Karan was still playing with the rabbit's feet under the lamp.

He asked coldly: "What grudge do you have against these poor little creatures? Stop torturing them."

Karan went to dry his hair glumly. After she left, Xiovir picked up the rabbit leg and looked at it for a while.

Most of the rabbit's feet were brown, and the one singled out for Alice was pure white. Karan wrapped them one by one with small pieces of leather, and then sewed them together, leaving only a plush tip exposed. She

It must have taken a lot of effort to sew this, because the leather looks very tough.

Callan's adoptive parents may have been Celtic.

In Britain, the Celts always believed that rabbit's feet could bring good luck.

Siovel touched the tip of the velvet and was about to try how it would look like when hung. At this time, the bathroom door opened and Karan finished blowing his hair and ran to bed.

He immediately put down the rabbit's foot and said sternly to Karan: "Are you wasting your time doing this every day?"

"No, I just..."

"Shut up and go to sleep."

Karan gritted his teeth.

Theower turned off the light.

Karan felt that the bed was also very cold, and the moisture from Ireland seeped into the quilt, making people shiver. She grabbed the corners of the quilt and huddled up. The wind and rain howled outside the window, and lightning illuminated the ferocious shadows.

"You haven't slept yet?" After Siouvel came out, he saw her tossing and turning.

Karan stopped moving and pretended to have fallen asleep.

Siovel dried his hair and returned to the bed. It was still cool under the quilt. He held Karan in his arms, put his hand on her back, and asked in a low voice: "Are you asleep?"

Karan closed his eyes and said nothing.

Xiovir knew that she must have other things to do while she was awake.

"You obviously just slept in the car..." Siovel complained and turned off the bedside lamp. He breathed steadily and placed it not far above her head.

The quilt gradually became warmer, and Karan, who was pretending to sleep, also fell asleep.

Perhaps because of the raging wind and rain, she had an uneasy sleep.

She keeps dreaming about Cyrus.

She was pressed against the railing by him. She turned around in pain and panic, and saw that his neck had been pierced by a knife. Blood was splattered all over her face. She couldn't wipe it off no matter how hard she wiped it. The more she wiped it, the more it was wiped, and it was bleeding on every step.

All above.

"Wake up! Wake up!"

Karan was woken up by someone pinching his shoulders.

She opened her eyes in confusion and saw Xiovir shaking her violently.

He warned in a hoarse voice: "If you talk in your sleep again, go sleep on the blanket at the door."

Karan nodded drowsily.

After a while, Siouvel was woken up by her again.

He wanted to kick her out of bed.

"Get up!" He shook Karan again.

Karan whined, looking very sleepy: "What..."

"You've been screaming." Xiovir tried to calm down. "It's louder than the thunder outside."

"Okay..." Karan didn't seem to hear what he was saying at all.

Xiovir frowned and touched her forehead.

"You don't have a cold, do you?"

Karan's face was very red, and his forehead temperature was only slightly higher than his.

Maybe the floor heating is too hot.

Siovel said in disgust: "If you catch a cold, don't give it to me."

He wanted to get up and turn down the floor heating, but as soon as he sat up, he felt pulled.

Karan kept clutching the corner of his clothes when he fell asleep.

Xiovir kept this sitting up motion for a long time.

He put his hand on Karan's wrist. The next step should be to pull away from her, get out of bed and turn off the floor heating.

But he didn't move for a long time.

He touched Karan's wrist bones. She was very thin and had a small frame. Two fingers could encircle her wrist. He followed the pulse and gently stroked her skin. She was as soft as those rabbit velvet tips.

innocent.

After a while, Karan fell asleep quietly and did not fall into nightmares and screams again.

Her tense hands naturally relaxed.

Siovel got up and turned down the floor heating. When he came back, he hesitated for a long time and pulled her hand to his waist.

"Sleep." He ordered softly.

The next day, both of them caught a cold.

Mrs. Nashley made them some hot soup to keep away the cold.

She said sympathetically: "Don't see Alice, you will infect her."

"That's great." Siovel said coldly, "I'd rather not see her."

"What about Karan?"

"Still sleeping..." Xiovel frowned and drank some soup, "Your terrible cooking skills are the only thing that still feels familiar to me after twenty years."

Mrs. Nashley ignored his words: "How about I take Alice to see her, just take a look from a distance, it shouldn't matter."

Xiovir was noncommittal.

Mrs. Nashley took this as acquiescence.

She held little Alice in her arms, walked to Karan's bedside, pointed at her and said, "This is your mother, little Alice."

Alice leaned forward and touched Karan's forehead.

Mrs. Nashley quickly helped her upright: "She is sick, don't get so close."

Karan woke up immediately.

The moment she was touched, an electric current seemed to flash across her forehead, her heart beat faster, and a strange sensation made her open her eyes. She saw Mrs. Nashley holding a little angel. She had short black hair and clear blue eyes.

He had a fleshy face and was waving to her.

"Mother." Alice called inarticulately.

"Oh... my God..." Mrs. Nashley wanted to cover her mouth with her hand to express her surprise, "Little Alice..."

Alice leaned out from between her arms and wanted to reach out and touch Karan.

Karan turned away and said, "Don't come over, I'm sick."

Alice lifted Karan's hair from a distance, like a strand of gorgeous hanging ribbon.

She giggled happily.

Karan turned his head to hide his sad expression.

Mrs. Nashley looked at the mother and daughter sadly, and suddenly felt a line of sight. She turned around and saw Siovel, standing far away by the door, with no intention of getting closer, but looking at them seriously.

Before leaving, Karan left a white rabbit foot behind.

"I hope she can be happy." Karan whispered to Mrs. Nashley, "No matter how long her life is... as long as she can live without worries."

Mrs. Nashley watched her son take her away and close the car door tightly. She and Alice stood at the door of the castle and waved goodbye.
