Chapter 37 Everything is ready

OK, as I told you at dinner, we will still tell stories tonight, even if we are on the passenger ship.

So we are in my room now.

Without further ado, let's get started.

◇◇◇◇◇

"Hey, Salon!"

I was on the village wall, staring at the Karak warriors coming from various tribes. It was at this time that Hiclard ran up the city wall and patted me hard on the back.

"What's wrong, Hickrad?" I turned to look at him and smiled easily, "I thought you were preparing for this war."

"I'm going to prepare, but I suddenly remember what you said, remember," he pushed me with his shoulder, "It's like equipping nomads with advanced weapons."

"Of course I remember, Hickrad, but we didn't have that many weapons, and there were two tribes outside raiding caravans, and we couldn't get things in."

"Don't forget the energy of my family, Saren," Hickrad smiled, "as long as the nomads here can solve those two tribes, I can get you a gun."

"Really, Hill?" I suddenly became serious. This was not a trivial matter. "Will your family agree?"

"Of course," Hickrad nodded confidently, "I'm not going to help other countries. If I could get online with the Vampire Slayer Guild, my father would be happy to use all the assets and relationships in his family to help us."

"That's great, but what should I do with bullets? Ordinary bullets are useless to them."

"But it's very useful to the Necromancers and their dead puppets, dear Saren," Hickrad patted my shoulder and laughed proudly, "In addition, I can get you silver and gunpowder, but you have to make them into bullets by yourself."

"That's enough!" I pinched his shoulder excitedly, "When can you contact these things as soon as possible?"

"Uh," Hickrad looked at the sun, "if we set out now, we can do it today."

"Okay, I'll go and ask for a camel from Faisal." I nodded and pulled Hickrad toward the place where Faisal was.

He is still staying in the combat camp today. When I arrived, he was coordinating the reinforcements that came to participate in the war.

"Hey, hey, Faisal!"

"Speak quickly, my good Salon, I'm almost overworked."

Faisal said without raising his head, while still busy handling the affairs on the table.

"I'm here to tell you good things, my friend Hickrad, who can get us guns, bullets and tools to make silver bullets, but I need you to send someone to escort him to Noch."

"This is indeed good news," Faisal looked up at Hickrad, "What guns can you get, how many?"

"At least five hundred rifles," Hickrad patted his chest, "I'm not sure about bullets, but it will definitely not be missing."

"That's enough, Ahmed! Ahmed!"

"What's wrong, Faisal?" A young but well-dressed guy ran in.

"Take your squad and escort this gentleman to Noch, and go now!" Faisal pointed at Hickrad.

"As you wish, respected Faisal."

Ahmed gave Faisal a chest-touching salute, then waved to Hickrad, "Come with me, respectful outsider."

"Waiting for your good news, Hill."

I said hello to him at the end, and after he disappeared outside the camp, I turned around and looked at Faisal, "Have the scouts sent out?"

"Sent out, actually, I've received a message."

"What do you mean?" I leaned forward excitedly, and subconsciously supported my hands on the table.

"Don't worry," Faisal gave me a look, "they seemed to be waiting for something, or were afraid of being discovered by us, so they were still in the oasis."

"Maybe they'll act tonight."

"Don't crow's mouth, Savos, don't you know this is very unlucky?"

"Sorry, my fault," I smiled at Faisal, who pretended to be angry, and slowly retreated from the camp. "I'll go somewhere else."

I then arrived at the Brady threesome's work room, and I was curious about how a former pastor made holy water.

The scene in front of me was a little beyond my expectations. There were three large tanks in the room, with extremely clear water inside, and countless fairy holy emblems in the lake were soaked in the water.

"You're here, Savos." Edward, who was sitting by the door, waved at me, "Blady is making holy water."

I know that there are usually fairies' divine powers on the Holy Emblem. In a sense, it can be used to make holy water, but generally no priest will do this. This is generally regarded as an insult to the fairies in the lake, unless the situation is already very urgent.

"Where do you get so many holy emblems, Brady?" I was a little surprised. "Aren't you afraid of the fairies in the lake sensing this?"

"I used to carve the holy badges for my brothers in the church," Brady waved his hand, "I have so many things in there."

"Okay," I shrugged, "as long as you are not afraid of the fairies coming to you."

"Of course not afraid."

"Then I'll leave," I waved at them, "You guys keep going."

"Okay, Savos."

◇◇◇◇◇

In the afternoon, good news began to be passed back one by one. First, the camel knight sent out rushed back, claiming that the last two tribes also agreed with us.

Then Hickrad rushed back, and as he said, things were resolved in one day.

“How many have been obtained?”

"I tried my best, eight hundred old-fashioned rifles, one hundred thousand bullets, and some silverware and gunpowder. For the sake of possible problems, what happened to those two tribes?"

"I'm about to tell you," I smiled and patted his shoulder, "the two tribes agreed to our request, too."

"That couldn't be better," Hickrad seemed very happy. "The only question now is how long it takes to prepare."

"I agree," I nodded, "the longer we prepare, the more dangerous we are."

◇◇◇◇◇

The next week seemed calm, and the team of vampires and necromancers began to move. Fortunately, the scouts kept biting them tightly, and a new position was sent to us every day so that we could always grasp their situation.

More and more soldiers came to Isaben. When the guns and bullets arrived, they were distributed to soldiers with experience in using the silverware and gunpowder were sent directly to the blacksmith shop.

Although this method is too primitive, at least some useful silver bullets can be made.

Everything is ready, the drum of war has been beaten, and it is only a matter of time left.
