Chapter 42 Attack again

I don’t know how long I had been in a coma. When I regained my consciousness again, it was already pitch black outside the window.

The camel's screams mixed with noisy voices came in from the window, and another patrol must have been back from outside.

I barely sat up from the bed, the decoration and furniture around me were very familiar, and it looked like my own room.

With a "creaking", the door was slowly pushed open, and Faisal walked in from outside the door with a basin of broth.

"Ahhh, it looks like our great hero is awake." He laughed, put the broth and a large bowl of dates on my table, and came over and hugged me.

"Savos, you lucky boy," he patted my back hard, "You only breathe when we found you, and you may not be able to survive in a while."

"Thank you," I smiled at him, "How long have I slept?"

"It's not too long," Faisal shrugged, "We found you two days ago in the morning, and now it's about ten o'clock tonight."

"It's been a long time," I sat up from the bed, "have you seen the vampires and necromancers behind me?"

"No," Faisal spread his hands, "It looks like they've given up chasing you."

"When it comes to this," he suddenly came over curiously and pushed me with his elbow, "Tell me, what did you do to make them hate you so much that they want to chase you?"

"I killed a large number of vampires and purified a large number of undead creatures. I guess they must hate me to death."

"Wow," Faisal exclaimed, "then they must have suffered heavy losses."

"Okay, let's put these skeleton racks and bats aside," Faisal said, pulling a chair for me, "You have to eat something first and replenish your energy. We can only feed you a little water in the past two days, and some less dry food."

When Faisal said this, I felt hungry, "Indeed," I smiled at him, "I haven't eaten for several days."

"I knew you would say that," Faisal laughed and put the broth and dates in front of me. "Try the specialty dates in the desert oasis, and I'll get you some bread."

I gave him a thumbs-up, and then saw Faisal smile, and closed the door for me as he stepped out.

As soon as he left, I began to suck the broth voraciously. During this period, I only drank a little water, and the liquid food they fed me when they were unconscious. Even ordinary white bread is a delicious dish to me now.

Not long after, the door was pushed open again. I looked back and saw that it was Faisal who walked in with a large basket of white bread.

"You look really hungry, my dear Savos," he said with some emotion, "Eat, eat, when your condition recovers, we should strike again."

"Go back?" I asked vaguely, biting the bread, "You already know their new location?"

"That's it," Faisal smiled smugly, pulled a chair and sat next to me, "we found out what you said, the bats and necromancers who came to chase you, our scouts have bitten them."

"Did they give up chasing me?" I asked in surprise while dipping a piece of bread into the broth.

"It looks like yes," Faisal nodded, "they must have guessed that we found you."

"Of course, Faisal," I shrugged a piece of white bread, "What other reason can explain my sudden disappearance? I don't know space spells."

"Yes, yes, my dear Savos, you have a good meal," Faisal patted my back, "After eating, you can rest for a while, I'll call you tomorrow."

"Okay, see you tomorrow, Faisal."

◇◇◇◇◇

Weary and curse made me sleep beautifully until early the next morning, Faisal broke into my room and called me up with some rough techniques.

"Those vampires and dead-wife won't be waiting for us there, Savos, I heard your companion say you want to ask something out of them, what's wrong, don't you think about it now?"

Faisal's words reminded me, and the four words Strad hit my mind like lightning, instantly driving away all my sleepiness and dissatisfaction.

"Of course," I sat up quickly and began to wear my armor, "I dreamed of getting some news from them."

"Ha!" Faisal laughed in satisfaction, then patted my shoulder hard, "That's right! This is the Savos I know!"

I took a while to put on my clothes, and Faisal stood out early.

The streets were many times more lively than last time. The wife was saying goodbye to her husband, while the mother kept waving to her son, crying, watching him go further and further.

Some people rode camels and walked past the street with murderous aura. Behind him was a child, leading a large number of camels.

"Here, Savos!"

A voice came from the opposite side of me, and I turned my head and saw that it was Faisal, who was standing with Christo, Hickrad and the others, looking at me with a smile on his face.

Waving at them, I then carefully squeezed out a way from the camels on the street and came to them.

"Welcome back, Savos!"

"Welcome back!"

I first hugged Hickrad with a smile on his face, then hugged Christo who was smiling beside me vigorously, and then greeted the other hunters.

The atmosphere soon became lively, and the hunters spoke one after another, saying that they must kill all sides in this attack.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, I pulled Faisal and Christo over, who were the general leaders of the Carac warrior and the Hunter respectively.

"How many people did we lose in the previous assault?" I asked nervously.

"There are not too many Karak warriors," Faisal first answered. "We lost 56 people in total. We lost the most during the charge. Most of them were pulled down by the annoying skeleton racks. During the melee, some warriors fell under the attack of vampires. As for the blessings we asked you, basically no one was injured."

"We are almost the same, and we have lost seventeen people in total," Christo pondered. "Most of the deaths occurred during the melee, and many people died because of their greed and stupidity, trying to challenge vampires who exceed their limits, poor guys."

"As for the retreat, too, thanks to you, Savos, we have no losses."

"Then how many people are we now? Have the hunters gathered? Where are the warriors from various tribes of Karak?" I asked immediately.

"There is good news in this regard," Faisal laughed. "Don't look at me with that look when we attacked and the four days we came back."

"It's my fault," I waved my hand at him, "You keep going, how many people have come in these eight days?"

"The hunters have all been here, and now there are 328 hunters."

"It looks like you've played your strengths well, Christo," I smiled at him, "These hunters get along well with you."

"It's just a little contribution, Savos," Christo, though he was humble, narrowed his eyes with a smile, "It's a little contribution."

I smiled at him angrily, then turned to look at Faisal beside him, "Where are you, Faisal, how many people from the desert have come?"

"The warriors in the Great Desert have also been assembled. Thanks to the wisdom of Madam Camilla, the two rebellious tribes brought us a whole of a thousand camel knights. Including other tribes and our own, we can gather more than five thousand knights."

"More than five thousand people?" I looked at him in surprise, "Are you sure?"

"Yes," Faisal took a step back, and stretched out his hands to me, "Cheer, Savos, they are ready to give their lives."

"Thank you, two gentlemen," I stretched out my hands and welcomed them back to their original positions. "Now, allow me to talk about our weapons again."

"Are you referring to silver weapons, Savos?" Faisal looked at me, "Thanks to Mr. Hickrad, all the Karak warriors had silver scimitars, and the eight hundred rifles were divided by me to experienced hunters in various tribes. They were all good at using bows, sharp eyes and quick movements."

"As for the rest, we have prepared our own bows and arrows. We did not waste the remaining silver, and made a large number of silver arrows."

"How could it be?" I became a little confused. "I remember those silverware, they probably couldn't make so many things."

"The forces behind Mr. Hickrad sent several batches of silver," explains Christo, "so much silver is enough for us to arm all of us."

"God, Hill," I looked at Hickrad who was extremely quiet on the side, "If we can win, we will definitely have a great contribution from you."

"I don't think it's enough," Hickrad made an exaggerated gesture. "I wish everyone could have a silver armor."

"That's too exaggerated, Hill." His words and actions made me laugh.

"When it comes to this, Savos," he clutched my neck skillfully, as in school, "I tried to improve your guild's Holy Water grenades and vinegar bombs."

"Have you improved?" I asked in surprise, "How did you improve?"

"Don't forget, I'm an alchemist," Hickrad wiped his nose proudly. "Although this is not my main business, I do have some achievements in this regard."

"I added a lot of silver pieces to the Holy Water grenade and the vinegar bomb without destroying their original function, and I think this will give those vampires some extra surprises."

"That's true, Hill," I patted his shoulder happily, "Do you have such a modified model? I want to get two."

"Of course, Savos," Hicklad raised his left hand, and then I noticed that he had been holding a bag, "Give you first, three of the vinegar and grenades."

After he finished speaking, he reached out and took out three grenades and vinegar bombs from the bag that he looked very heavy, and handed them to me one by one.

"What I'm going to tell you is," he shook the bag on his hand. "I've learned to make holy water grenades, so I turned part of the holy water that Brady made into grenades, which is what you see now."

"Dear Hickrad," Christo ran over and held Hickrad's hand tightly. "It's a pity that you don't join our Vampire Slayer Guild. Maybe after the matter is over, can you consider joining our Strand branch? Savos and I can be your guarantors."

"My?" Hickrad looked a little surprised, pointing at himself uncertainly. "I don't know if I can do it," he said. "My fighting skills are not very good, and..."

"The fighting skills can be enhanced through training, dear Hickrad," Christo interrupted enthusiastically before he could finish his words. "Also, even if you know nothing about fighting, you can have a place in our guild just by improving the Holy Water grenade and the skills you can make such grenades."

"I think this is a good idea, Hill," I said, "Didn't you always want to take risks? Why don't you follow me and I can teach you that."

Although I didn't say it clearly, I believe Hickrad must know what I was talking about.

His eyes suddenly lit up, "Can you still teach me?"

"Of course," I nodded surely, stretched out my left hand, and a small splash of water was swaying on it, "I am a master of the water system."

"That's great," Hickrad saw the splash on my hands and his mouth almost grinned to both sides of his cheeks. "Then we'll decide."

"certainly."

"Okay, dear good gentlemen," Faisal inserted, "If you are ready, we should set off. The latest report from the scout shows that the necromancers have brought a large number of skeleton racks from somewhere, and are rushing towards our village with murderous intent. If nothing unexpected happens, this battle will be the final battle."

"Is the final battle?" I was a little surprised. "These guys who are hiding around and hiding actually decided to take the initiative? It seems that they are very confident this time."

"What does it matter?" Christo, who was standing beside him, stretched indifferently, "Since they dare to come, we will let them know the principle that soldiers are more valuable than elites."

"What you said makes sense, Christo," I rode on the camel led by someone else and replied with a smile: "But you also have to know the reason why there are too many ants to kill the elephant. We must not take it lightly."

"I understand, Savos," Christo also slowly rode on the camel, "I wish you a happy hunt."

"I wish you a happy hunt."
