Chapter 47 Return to Cabophis

Even now, it was a very happy evening, and everyone was having fun. I couldn't remember how I got back to my room at all, I just remember either drinking in big bowls or playing my own Rut.

But happy times always end. Christo called me up early the next morning. We will be one of the first hunters to set out on the way home, because Capofez is too far away from this.

"These camels are for your use on the road," Faisal came to us with three camels, patting my shoulder reluctantly, "Be careful on the road."

"Of course," I nodded, "Thank you, Faisal."

"No thanks," Faisal waved his hand, and the three Carac warriors came over, "The three of them will follow you to Nochi City, and you can return the camels to them at that time."

"Okay, thank you again, and all the villagers of Isahben."

"You know I don't like to listen to such nonsense, Savos," Faisal smiled faintly and waved at us. "The luggage is ready, travelers, please get on the road as soon as possible, according to our Karak customs, it's a good time to get on the road."

"Yes," I turned over and rode on the camel, "This is also a good time to leave without saying goodbye. There will be no sad stories."

"A good journey, Savos."

"Thank you, Faisal, we are destined to see you again."

"Goodbye if you are destined to be."

Amid a melodious ringtone, three Karak camel knights accompanied us slowly out of the village. Isaben was very quiet in the early morning. Most of the villagers were still immersed in a sweet dreamland after the celebration of the night last night, and most of the soldiers and hunters were the same.

No other time would be more suitable to leave than now. There would be no more people on the street, and the atmosphere would not be too sad. Everything was as usual. We left calmly, just like we did not see any other place coming in at that time.

"Where will we go first?"

On the way back, Christo asked.

"Go and get the bounty first," I said, "The rewards for this mission are quite a lot."

"Ah," Christo nodded, "I forgot that you are bounty hunters, but it's a pity that I can only contribute to rewards."

"You just keep selling miserable things. Everyone has their own benefits, Christo," I glanced at him with a smile, "Don't continue to think of me as the newbie who just entered the industry."

"Okay, okay," Christo shrugged helplessly, "You are making progress really fast."

"When it comes to this," Hickrad laughed and inserted, "Can I get the reward?"

"You may not be able to do it, my friend," Christo shook his head with some regret, "You are not a guild hunter yet."

Christo's words were like a basin of cold water, easily extinguishing the flames in Hickrad's heart. When I looked at him, my face suddenly became listless, and I became a little listless.

"Cheer, Hill," I decided to encourage this former roommate, so I shouted, "You still have to follow me back to Capofez, don't forget what I will teach you then!"

In order to make him understand, I deliberately bit the very heavy sound on the word "teach you". This quick-thinking guy immediately understood. He nodded quickly and quickly became energetic again.

"Tsk," Christo was amazed, "What did you promise him?" he asked, "his position in his heart is even more expensive than this reward."

"Some mage casting techniques have no effect on you."

"indeed."

Christo nodded, turned his head and continued to concentrate on manipulating his camel.

This section of the road is not too long, but the sun above our heads is a bit difficult to deal with. When our team arrived at the gate of Noqi City, all three of us seemed to have just climbed up from the lake.

"I will never cross the desert without any warning next time," Christo said to us with a gray face, then took out the kettle and drank several large gulps of water.

After replenishing fresh water, his face looked much better, "This is really a pain. In that desert, more than once I thought I would become a human being."

"Stop complaining, Christo," Hickrad smiled, "you are still alive."

Christo shrugged, we rolled over and went down to the ground one by one, returned the camel to the Karak warrior, and walked into Nochi City side by side.

Based on our experience last time, we came to the Vampire Hunter Guild branch here with a familiarity.

"Isn't this Christo?" As soon as we entered the door, a rough voice rang out and walked out of the darkness beside the door.

Here comes a middle-aged strong man who is at least two meters per year.

"It's you, you, Iron Fist." Christo was stunned for a second, then laughed loudly, and walked up on his own initiative.

"It's me, a bastard," Tiequan laughed and hugged Christo, "So, your mission is completed?"

"It's done," Christo smiled bitterly, "but the result is not very good."

"Don't think too much," Tieqin patted Christo on the shoulder and smiled at me and Hickrad, "It's the best thing to do in our business to come back alive."

"Indeed, oh! Look at me, I'm such a fool, come here, Savos, Hicklad, I'll introduce you to you."

Hickrad and I looked at each other, and then walked side by side to the man named Iron Fist.

"Iron Fist, this is Savoscott, a fire magician with superb skills, and an excellent swordsman."

"I'm glad to know you, the young fire mage." Tieqin grinned and stretched out a hand at me.

"Me too."

I also reached out and shook him quickly.

"As for this one," Christo turned his finger toward Hickrad beside me, "his name is Hickrad Laxos, and he is a water wizard."

"Oh, two mages," Tie Fist raised his eyebrows in surprise. "I heard from Vic that you recruited a newcomer, but unexpectedly he also brought a mage friend. It seems that our branch is lucky."

"That's good, Hickrad, Savos, I'll introduce you to you," Christo smiled and turned around. "This is Acha's 'Iron Fist' Lux, and the bounty hunter of our Capofes branch. We all call him Iron Fist, and you'll call it that way."

"That's it," Tieqin laughed again, reached out and took out something from the darkness beside the door, "Show you a baby."

When the object was completely out of the shadow, I realized that it was a warhammer, a two-handed warhammer. However, unlike ordinary warhammers, the upper half of the grip of this warhammer was filled with dense jars, and there was also a cylindrical bottle that was not too large.

My intuition told me that this must be a steam-related weapon, so I decided to ask.

"Steam Weapon?" I asked tentatively.

"You are so smart, Savoscott," Iron Fist listened to my answer and patted my shoulder happily. "This is a new hammer made by the Guild and the Strand Institute scientists. It seems to be called a 'steam powered hammer'. I tried it and a large piece of stone can be smashed with one hammer. It is not very powerful."

"By the way," he looked at me and clapped his hands suddenly, "You are a swordsman, I remembered that they also developed the power sword for swordsmanship. I heard that they could easily cut through thick plate armor."

"Can you convert an ordinary sword into a power sword?" After hearing the words of Iron Fist, I was a little excited and asked hurriedly.

If a general power sword can easily cut through thick plate armor, then if I transform the broken steel into a power sword, I may not be able to find anything in the world that it cannot cut.

"Is it a modification?" Tieqin scratched his head with some trouble. "To be honest, I don't know, but I think those guys should do it as long as you give it your money."

"When it comes," Christo suddenly jumped up, "We are here to get the bounty today, and it's a great time to chat with you, Iron Fist, but we have to get the bounty."

"No problem," Tiefan waved, "I still have something to do today, so let's see you Cabofis."

"Of course," Christo nodded politely, "Goodbye to Capofez."

After parting with Iron Fist, the three of us went straight to the bar, which is the task release office.

The person in charge of Noqi City was standing behind the bar with a cigarette in his mouth and wiping the cup. "Is there anything you need?" He heard the footsteps and raised his head and asked kindly.

"We are here to submit the mission," Christo walked forward, taking out the mission notice from his pocket and handed it over, "This mission."

"Ah, the mission of killing bats in the desert." The boss nodded in a clear way, "I have already observed this mission. Your results are not very good, but they are not bad either, so three thousand gold coins will be sent to you as usual."

"It's a pity," the boss frowned, "you let Makar, the treacherous guy escape, so the rewards on the level will be cancelled, I'm very sorry."

"Okay," I shrugged, not too angry. This was something I expected, Makar would be difficult to deal with, and only such a difficult person is worthy of the high reward given by the Vampire Slayer Guild.

"But given your killing of vampires and your wonderful expressions during battles, for your group, I decided to count the number of completed tasks for three tasks this time."

"Ah, thank you very much," Christo laughed at him, "You are such an excellent person in charge."

"There is no need for those flatteries," the person in charge waved his hand, pulled out twelve pieces of golden paper from under the table, and handed it to us, "There are twelve pieces in total, each representing a thousand gold coins. Congratulations to you, gentlemen."

“Before I go, I have another question,” I said, “how do you know how we are doing?”

"I take back my previous words, Savos," Christo shook his head, "You are still a rookie."

"Don't you know?" The boss seemed a little surprised. "Every time the mission, a large number of people would equip the remote communicators so that the person in charge of each branch would confirm the situation on the scene."

"When it comes to this, the only thing I can't confirm is the performance you've cut off, Savos," the boss looked at me and said, "It's a pity. If you have equipped a communicator and are willing to take out the pictures stored inside, I might get you more rewards."

“The rewards are already very generous now,” I smiled, “maybe I will consider bringing them next time.”

Of course, this sentence is just a polite statement. I will not bring a communicator that can provide pictures, so that the secret of me being able to transform into a dragon and my rune art will be exposed.

"Okay, OK, I wish you peace," the boss raised the cup in his hand, "Oh by the way! Christo! Hello, I would like to say to the bitch Vic for me!"

"OK!"

After receiving the bounty, we did not stay in Nochi for a long time, but immediately booked a carriage to Port Brinto. To be honest, I miss Sebastian and Erin very much, and even a little bit missed Vic.

In addition, my damn Eleventh Department study has to continue. I haven't learned anything during this period, so I still have a few days to catch up with me here.

We spent the next few days on our journey. Yansha Province is as famous as its land. No matter when you look out the window, you can only see one boundless desert after another.

If it were usual, I might have been crazy, but now, I am extremely grateful for the monotonous scenery, which makes me feel extremely peaceful and I can devote myself to studying.

The same is true for Hickrad. On the first day of departure, I taught him the two most basic rune techniques, rune arrows and energy shields. Since then, he has been practicing these two spells hard every day, and has not forgotten to practice the spells used to conceal it.

As for Christo, he was probably the worst of us. Since there was nothing to learn, he had to chat with the coachman every day. Fortunately, he persisted with this move.

Our group arrived at Port Brinto in such an atmosphere. As soon as we got off the carriage, Christo ran out. In his words, he "didn't want to stay in that carriage for a second."

Perhaps because he had been tortured by the desert for too long, Christo's work efficiency was several times higher than usual. As soon as we walked downstairs of the airport station, he waved three boat tickets to greet him.

"It's done, three air craft tickets, we will be able to return to Capofez in a few days."

I looked at the time on the ticket. This was an airship that set off again after a break, and it was still half an hour before it entered the port.

So we sat in the waiting area and started chatting without a word until the sharp and rapid ringtone suddenly rang, followed by the signature buzzing sound of the airship.
