Chapter fifty-six deep into the desert island(1/2)

"Enough, Savos! Enough!"

The beach was full of corpses and blood, and Jia Baiwei rushed to me in a hurry and blocked my sword.

"You can't kill all of these people, Savos," Gabberwei said to me in a low voice. "I do dislike them, but most of them are the upper nobles of Strand and Eindhoven. If more than six hundred people die here, these two countries will be in chaos."

"It's too late, add Bai Wei," I shook my head at him. Shi Zhixin told me that the most reasonable way to do now is to kill everyone. "I let them go now, they won't let me go."

"What if I say, can I have a way to get them to give up pursuing you?"

"What?" I stopped and looked at Jiabaiwei on the side, "Let's listen."

"Most of their families are powerful, but they are not as good as our Jiabaiwei family. In Strand, our family is not small," Jiabaiwei took a deep breath and said, "Believe me, I can suppress this matter."

"Well, Robert," I said, carrying the broken steel onto my shoulders, "even if you can deal with this part of Stran, what about Eindhoven's part?"

When I said this, I pointed to the Eindhoven nobles who had very distinctive clothing characteristics in the crowd, "I'm afraid they won't listen to you."

"No, they will listen to me," Robert Gabaiwei said with confidence. "Our family is engaged in transnational trade in Strand. To be honest, Savos, 90% of the Strand products and weapons you see in the Empire are from our family's businesses."

"So, those imperial nobles dare not ignore you?"

"That's it," Jiabaiwei smiled proudly, "Let me handle this matter, okay?"

"Since you said that," I inserted the broken steel back into the scabbard around my waist, "Then I will give you a face."

"Thank you," Gabaiwei breathed a sigh of relief, "Fortunately you can still be reasonable, Savos."

"I have always been a reasonable person."

Seeing me retracting the broken steel back into the scabbard, the shrewd nobles seemed to know that they were out of danger and slowly gathered together one by one.

Jiabaiwei was not idle either and he brought five crew members to meet him. He soon got together with the surviving nobles and began to discuss things in a low voice.

Judging from the constant argument between Robert and several nobles, it took some time for their negotiations. I simply put away my weapons and sat on the beach, and began to look at what I had done just in the state of the stone heart.

There were fifty-one passengers who died under my sword. Judging from their decorations, they undoubtedly belonged to the class of nobles. Nearly one-third of this small beach was soaked in blood and dyed dark red. Spoils of human limbs were scattered everywhere.

After I withdrew from the Heart of the Stone, this scene made me feel deeply uncomfortable, especially the ubiquitous and strong smell of blood, which kept drilling into my nose, making me almost want to vomit.

"I wouldn't have used Shi Zhixin if I had known it," I shook my head with a wry smile. Thanks to Jia Baiwei this time, otherwise I would have only one way to go, that is, kill them all.

And at that point, there is no need for Gabaiwei to say. I also know that there will be great economic and political turmoil in Strand and Eindhoven, because these people occupy a large part of the upper class of these two countries.

"You have to think clearly before doing this next time, Savos." I looked at Jiabaiwei, who was pressing the nobles not far away, and told me in my heart.

As Sebastian often says, it doesn't matter if you make a mistake, but if you can't learn from your mistakes, you're a total idiot.

I looked at Jiabaiwei not far away. Things seemed to be going well, because Jiabaiwei's expression became easier and easier, and the nobles kept nodding reluctantly.

"How are you, Savos," Christo walked over to me and sat down with me. "God, your performance just now was terrible, but to be honest, it was quite satisfying. I've wanted to do this a long time ago."

"Then you see the consequences now, Christo," I smiled bitterly and pointed to the Changtaka people not far away. "If it weren't for Gabaiwei, I would have to kill them all today."

"That would be a disaster, Savos, you should probably review yourself."

"Yes, Christo," I nodded in shame, "I don't know what's wrong with me. Maybe the pictures I saw on the airship gave me too much excitement, but they are civilians after all, I mean..."

My words became more and more messy as I spoke later, and my tongue became like a knot. I mumbled for a long time but didn't know what to say.

I know these people are civilians, and I haven't attacked the civilians for a long time, but when I think of their ugly behavior on the airship, another flame in my chest burns stronger and stronger.

"I don't know, my head is messy, Christo..."

I remembered when I was in Brinto when I was a child, facing those gangsters who insulted Tracho's relics.

I thought of the scene where blood flowed into a river and corpses piled up like mountains at Cavenstone Pass.

I heard that most dragons are tyrannical and irritable. Maybe I was affected by this heart in my body.

"Okay," Jiabaiwei's voice interrupted my random thoughts. He quickly walked to me and sat down, patted my shoulder, "The things have been resolved, I promise you that these people will never dare to cause trouble for you again."

"Thank you, Jia Baiwei," I waved at him, "If it weren't for you, I might have started a massacre."

"Ah, my God," Gabaiwei sighed, "No matter what, don't discuss what hasn't happened. Maybe we should talk about entering the island?"

"Ah! Yes, what advice do you have?"

"You are a fire mage, right?" Jia Baiwei asked after taking out a hand-rolled tobacco and lit it. "I have an idea, have you seen the cigarette in my hand? We can ignite that jungle too."

"No," Christo immediately raised his objection, waving his arms excitedly, saying, "This will only put us at a disadvantage. We don't know how big this jungle is, and the smoke will only hinder us."

"What you said makes sense," Jia Baiwei rubbed his unshaven chin, "Then we can only use the most primitive method?"

"Yes."

"Okay," Gabawei sighed, "I'll gather the crew now."

"No need for too many people," I called him, "it only takes four or five people."

"Okay." Jia Baiwei nodded and then quickly left.

He was very efficient in his work, and not long after five fully armed crew members appeared in front of me.

"We're ready, Savos," Gabaiwei shouted, "Let's go."

"Everyone is the only one who listens to the emperor."

I stood up neatly from the ground, pulled out the broken steel from my waist again, "Go away, everyone must act carefully."

We quickly lined up in an a-shaped shape, walked into the jungle one after another, and behind me were Cristo, Hickrad, and two other a-shaped formations composed of Gabaiwei and his crew.

This jungle is as thick and lush as when I came in last time, and it is difficult for you to find enemies hiding between the bushes.

"Everyone's eyes widened!" Jia Baiwei obviously discovered this, "The woods here are not very friendly to us!"

Upon hearing this, the crew raised their rifles in their hands one after another. In this tense atmosphere, we continued to move forward for a long time.

"There are footprints there," Cristo said suddenly, "and it looks a lot."

I looked in the direction his finger pointed, and a very unnatural depression suddenly appeared in the low shrubs connected together. Many branches and leaves were trapped in the soil, with obvious footprints embedded on them.

"It seems we're right," Gabawei laughed, "it seems they all retreated from here."

"Then let's catch up and take a look," I waved Duangang twice, "see what the hell are these guys doing."

The group quickly followed the footprints and we were not hindered along the way. There was a long, messy footprint on the ground, which pointed out the direction for us. It seemed that these cultists were really retreating in panic.

As the footprints spread all the way, we followed the footprints carefully until the footprints suddenly disappeared.

"It seems that this is the end," I raised my hand and stopped everyone, "Everyone spread out and see if I can find anything."

Gabaiwei and his crew nodded, and everyone quickly separated and began to search for this area in all directions.

Not long after, a loud shout came from my left, "Here!"

Cristo, Hickrad and I looked at each other for a few glances, and ran over quickly following the sound.

Three crew members were standing next to a large chunk of bushes, with weeds spread out on the ground and an obvious authentic entrance below.

"It looks like we caught them."

"What should I do now?" Jia Baiwei walked up and pushed the double doors at the entrance of the tunnel. "This door is very tightly locked."

"Breaking up," I gave the easiest solution, "We don't need to hide, they should hide."

Two grenades were quickly hung on the door handle. For insurance, I also arranged three rune bombs on the door.

"Remove! Remove!"

After making all the preparations, I signaled everyone to retreat, and I followed them to a safe distance.

"Okay, are you all ready?"

Everyone nodded.

I shot out a flame rune arrow.

The red rune arrow accurately hit a grenade on the gate.

The earth-shaking explosion suddenly sounded, followed by an extremely surging shock wave. When the smoke of gunpowder dissipated, the original two doors at the tunnel door disappeared.

"Chong Chong Chong! They must have heard the movement here!"

I yelled and rushed in first, and I had to catch them before they ran away.

The passage was covered with dust and gravel fell from the ceiling from time to time.

This passage is not very long. After passing through a ball of orange-yellow light at the end of the passage, I entered a wider cave.

There were also many panicked believers gathered in the cave, wearing long robes and hurriedly packing their own things.

"It's that man!" I was soon discovered, and his horrified voice echoed in the grotto, "He killed my Lord's plague beast!"

"All high-ranking believers, retreat immediately! The time for the sacrifice of our Lord has come!"

A large number of believers in gray robes responded immediately, and they took out their knives and shouted in unison: "For Strad!"

As soon as they finished speaking, they rushed towards me, and a small group of people wearing purple robes, the so-called high-ranking believers hurriedly penetrated deeper into the tunnel under their cover.

I waved the broken steel expressionlessly. These believers who have been eroded by the plague for many years are extremely weak. They have no way to block my casual sword.

But their number was large, blocking the road from me to the depths of the tunnel. I frowned and began to outline the runes.

If I had just broken steel, I would definitely not be able to deal with these damn cultists in a short period of time. I needed something... greater power and wider.
