Chapter 87 After the war(1/2)

Of course, in the end I stopped the guards of Grey Mist City from killing all these vampires.

"What are your instructions, sir?"

A soldier looked at me with admiration, greeted a very standard military salute, and then stood there as if waiting for the general's order.

"Leave these crippled dogs' lives, soldiers," I pointed my sword at the trembling vampires who were crouching on the ground, "I will inform our guild people to accept them."

"Very happy, sir," the soldier bowed, and then quickly walked to the other soldiers who were abused and killed the vampire.

He whispered to them, and everyone stopped what was happening.

"You guys are lucky, you damn bats!"

One of the soldiers spat at them with some resentment before walking aside with a spear.

For the city guards of any city, the most unnecessary thing is of course shackles. Not long after, another team of soldiers came over with a large number of shackles.

"Sir, we will take them to the prison in Gray Mist City," the person in charge who looked like a team leader saluted me first, and then said meticulously, "As long as your... colleagues come here, they can take these monsters away at any time."

"Thank you very much for your cooperation, soldiers," I nodded at him and took the Broken Steel back into the scabbard. "It's not that easy to catch a vampire captive."

"You are the Red Dragon Saren, I mean, the one who hated the Empire to the core."

"It's me," I smiled bitterly. Since I became deformed, I knew many people would guess my identity.

"So is the matter true, sir," the captain asked suddenly, "I heard that you are the people from your guild who have been fighting these monsters for many years."

"Ah, it's a war with a long history, soldiers, much longer than you think," I sighed, "We never want to drag you, that is, ordinary people, into this war. Ah sorry, maybe you'll be angry, but that's the truth."

I looked at his bright eyes, "It is difficult for ordinary people who have not been trained to defeat vampires, even if you are an elite soldier of the Imperial Legion or Strand Army."

"But now everything has changed," I looked at the center of the square not far away. Many nearby residents had gathered, and were looking at the body of Baron Evandesa in curious and fear.

I'm not a fool. Maybe I can block a person's mouth, but I can't make so many people stick to this secret unless I kill them all, but that's what madman will do.

"Go do what you should do, captain," I waved my huge dragon claws, "I should go and talk to your MPs."

"Of course, sir, I wish you all the best." The captain gave me a military salute, and then took his subordinates to escort the captured vampires to the outside of the square.

"Hill! Hill!"

My voice quickly attracted the attention of Hickrad not far away. He looked up, then put down the wounded man in his hand and ran towards me quickly.

"What's wrong, Sarah? I'm treating the wounded."

"This can be put back," I waved my paws, "I need you to follow the soldiers who escort vampires. I just made a mistake," I said, "I am too confident that these scared vampires will not resist."

"I get it," Hickrad nodded, "I'll go and watch them now."

"Oh, by the way," I stretched out my hand again and grabbed the departing Hickrad. "When you get to prison, remember to teach those young people how to imprison vampires and use the simplest way in the guild."

After giving Hickrad instructions, I walked straight to the city hall. Since many people have seen vampires, I think it's time to talk to them about these things as a vampire hunter, or as a representative of the Vampire Hunter Guild.

Many things are necessary, they must have the ability to resist the reinvasion of vampires, and I cannot stay on this island for the rest of my life.

A sound like metal scratching glass suddenly rang out across my body, followed by an indescribable sense of pain that surged up from every bone in my body.

"It seems that my bones have been reset..." I murmured in a low voice, gritting my teeth and standing there.

The sound was just a wave at first, but in the end it turned into a dense sound like a rifle fire.

Garcia is here, I can guarantee that I have never felt the pain as strong as it is now in my life, just as if someone forced every bone of mine back to its original position.

Especially my skull, as if a pair of big hands were pressing tightly on my head, and ghosts began to appear in front of my eyes.

The dragon scales began to disappear quickly, just as they emerged from my body piece by piece, and the pain that was like shattering a bone subsided.

I looked at my hands. The fair skin made me look a little too blood-lost. The slender and slender fingers could not tell the ferocious appearance of the dragon claws before.

I touched my face again, the shock in my mind had completely subsided, and my head turned back to its original state.

This magical scene made me a little curious and scared. If I continued to use the ability to transform, what would I look like in the end?

Holding a deformed human head like a dragon? Just thinking about this may make me shudder. I long to take revenge on Strad, but I don't want to turn myself into a deformed species that is not even a monster.

I shook my head, and I should think about these things after I return to Capofez, but one thing I know is that the dragon man form is definitely not the normal form provided to me by the Heart of the Dragon.

I have some vague guesses about this, but I have to wait until I get free before I can verify it. After all, I still have a curse like a life-seeking evil spirit to deal with.

I took out the extract the old man gave me, dripped a small drop into my mouth, and walked into the gate of the city hall.

"Welcome, welcome," As soon as I entered the door, the applause sounded like thunder. Whether it was the investigation team from Cross or the nobles of Grey Mist City who had just been rescued in the square, they all cast a grateful and respectful look at me.

"Grey Mist City Thank you, Saren "Red Dragon" Nowvis, ah, please allow me to call you that. In my opinion, this is the greatest respect for you."

Baron Edmond said with a smile, and he walked slowly to me, and then took my hand, "Cheer for Cross and the savior of Grey Mist, ladies and gentlemen, the nemesis of the vampire standing in front of you!"

The nobles cheered again, and some girls even gave me a hot look.

"Ahem," I quickly coughed twice to hide my embarrassment. "In fact, I still have important things to discuss with all the gentlemen and ladies of Haikishima. It's very important."

"You said." Hearing me say this, the hall of the congressional hall suddenly became quiet. Baron Edmond bowed slightly and signaled that I could speak.

"I believe you also know that the battle between vampires and humans has been hidden in the dark before this."

All present were nobles in high positions. I knew this was not a secret to them, and everyone nodded according to my words.

"Now, the worst thing is," I pointed out, "the so-called Baron Evandesa, the big trouble that he created for us before his death, now all the civilians of Grey Island know that vampires are real."

"There is no doubt that this will seriously hurt the people here, making them no longer dare to step out of the house at night, but this is not the worst."

“We can’t stop everyone’s mouth,” I said, “so the news will definitely spread.”

"In other words," I looked at all the nobles present, "the struggle between humans and vampires has surfaced, respected gentlemen and ladies."

"And I can't stay on Shikigi Island forever," I waved my hand again, "Although it's cruel, it's the truth."

"So I plan to let our guild enter Haikishima. Of course, there must be disguise on the surface. This is one of our powerful weapons against vampires."

"Of course, Mr. Saren," Baron Edmond nodded first, "Grey Kirishima cannot always rely on your strength, we must have armed forces that can resist vampires."

“That’s true.”

"That's right."

The nobles present nodded in agreement.

"Very good," I clapped my hands, "then I'll prepare for the return journey immediately. I think the guild will be happy to set up a branch in Cross and Grey Mist City."

"That's really great," Baron Edmond breathed a sigh of relief, and the other nobles present were no exception. "Okay," he said with a smile. "Since the most important thing has been discussed, we should prepare for the celebration. There will be a celebration banquet tonight!"

Everyone cheered, and I shook my head quietly. It seemed that whether they were nobles with outstanding government skills or ordinary nobles, they always had one thing in common, that is, their love for such upper-class banquets.

Baron Edmond is a decisive old man. He soon confirmed the specific time and location of the banquet. It was about 8 o'clock tonight. The entire town hall will be carefully decorated and used as the venue for the banquet.

After repeatedly promising these nobles, I would definitely take Hickard to attend on time, and I fled out of the town hall in a hurry like a thief who was caught. Although the nobles were a little disappointed because they could not see Hickard, they still dispersed with tactfully.

After coming out of the city hall, I let out a sigh and shrugged with a wry smile. The nobles were even more enthusiastic than I thought, especially the noble ladies.

After coming out of the city hall, I stopped a passerby, "Hello, I want to know where the city guard's barracks are?"

"Ah, it's the savior!"

The passerby was stunned for a moment, then shouted excitedly, "Of course, I mean, uh, of course I know, sorry, I'm so excited, Mr. Saren, you know, I've heard of it, you..."

I glanced at him and realized that he was just a fourteen-year-old boy.

"Relax, kid," I smiled at him, "Now, calmly tell me where the city guard's barracks are in?"

"Of course, sir," he swallowed, took a few more deep breaths, and then reached out his hand to the north, "Please keep going north, sir, turn left at the third intersection and you can see the behemoth."

"Thank you very much." I smiled at him, then turned around and left quickly.

Walking on the way to the city guard camp, I touched my hair helplessly. The news spread faster than I thought. Even a passerby had heard of what I did and even knew what I looked like.

An absurd thought suddenly popped up from my mind: Maybe I should turn my hair back to its original redness, so I might be able to avoid many people who have just heard of my name.

This idea made me feel a little ridiculous. Once upon a time, I had a hair of brown hair to escape, but now I want to turn back into red hair to escape those enthusiastic citizens!

I shook my head and threw this absurd idea out of my mind. I wouldn't do this. It would be like handing the handle to the empire.

At least not now.

I stretched and walked into the barracks with the respectful gaze of the soldiers standing guard.

"Ri'an, Lord Salon," the former captain happened to pass by not far away, and he soon noticed me, "Are you here to inspect the captives?"

"Yes," I nodded, "Where is Hill?"

"Sir Hickrad is in the prison, sir," said the captain with a smile. "Garcia is on, and the vampire hunter's imprisonment method is really an open sight."

"Please lead the way," I waved at him and said politely, "I want to go down and see those vampires, too."

"certainly."

I followed the team leader all the way forward, and after passing six levels, I successfully entered the prison of the city guard.

The prison was full of damp and rotten smell, one vampires after another were tied to the wall in shackles, and their backs were crossed from top to bottom into three silver spikes.

The flesh and blood that came into contact with the spikes kept making sizzling sounds, and waves of white smoke floated up from the wound regularly.

This is a method used by the guild to capture and control vampires. It will be mentioned in the manual of every vampire hunter. It is simple, but easy to use.

While these three silver nails constantly corrode their bodies, they can also limit their changes, so that they can't become vampire forms.
