Special Chapter Nine: Slaying Demons(1/2)
"I said," Grundill rolled on the spot, and struggled to avoid the sword and halberd that were slashing at him, and shot two overly exposed dragon men with two backhands, and then stood up with dusty faces. "It's better to finish your business quickly, because they really have a lot of them!"
"I get it, Glendill," Saren said with a sword against Drex and without looking back. "I thought you enjoyed it all."
"Hey," Grundill sideways dodged two long halberds that were slashing down, and opened two more big holes on the attacker's body. "There are fifty people, fifty! Still dragon people!"
"I get it," Saren smiled and stabbed Drex's knee with a sword. "I will deal with this big guy as soon as possible."
"It seems that your friend really can't hold on," Drex smiled smugly, "maybe you will only begin to regret and understand how stupid it is to go against us."
"Shut up, Drex." Saren calmly swung another sword, and the empty hand raised his hand and fired a thunder.
Drex, who had just used a shield to hold the broken steel, was unprepared in his chest, and the thunder, like a dazzling beam of lightning, hit his chest.
"Ah! I hate these damn thunder and lightning!" Drex turned around maniily in the spot, his chest turned black, and the remaining thunder and lightning also kept flowing like a small snake in his body, deepening the damage they caused.
"Enough!"
Drex inserted his giant sword into the ground, "I've had enough of this heavy and stupid weapon, and now I'm going to kill you seriously."
He reached out and took off a dark, completely unreflective shield from behind and a sharp spear made of the same material. "Come on!" He slapped the shield with his spear, "You will never be my opponent!"
"Oh," Saren sighed, reaching out to pull out a long sword made of lightning, "Don't you see the situation clearly yet, you idiot."
The airflow ejected from behind him, and Saren moved gently, leaving only a afterimage in everyone's sight.
"You will never defeat me! I am the champion of the Daren clan, the chief general under my master! I am the God of War Drex!"
"Your titles are worthless in front of me, Drex, if you think they can help you win, then yell at your heart."
Saren's calm and somewhat indifferent voice sounded from the whirlwind flying around Drex. The deep purple sword transformed from lightning was particularly eye-catching in a blue storm. Every time the sword attacked, it would leave a charred wound on Drex.
"Aren't you demonized yet? Drex," Saren suddenly hit Drex's chest hard. Unpredictable, Drex was directly hit by him and staggered.
Saren took the opportunity to jump high, and the wind led him up the way. The long sword condensed from lightning had completely dissipated. He held the broken steel tightly with both hands and slashed it down with a fierce sword.
"What!? No!"
Grundill felt a flash of almost dazzling white light flashing in front of him, and Drex's cry of pain rang out.
When he opened his eyes again, a huge scale-covered arm was slowly falling from mid-air. What fell to the earth was dark red blood that turned into drops of tiny beads.
With a "bang", the huge arm fell to the ground along with the shield it was holding tightly.
Drex half-kneeled on the ground, the hand that originally held the spear was tightly covering the wound of the other broken arm, and blood was still gushing out of its fingers, and then fell to the ground little by little.
"Very good, Salennoves..." Drex stared at Salen floating in the air, slowly stood up, gritted his teeth and walked back, "You won today...but things won't be that simple."
He walked towards the portal step by step, "My servants, come and protect me!"
"I didn't let you leave now."
Saren's melodious voice came from the air, and he rushed to the portal with extremely fast speed. All the dragon people who dared to stand on the road were chopped away by his sword.
"If you want to get back to your lair from here," Saren said to Drex with a smile, taking a round thing off his waist and pressing the button above, "You can give up now."
He threw the ball in his hand to the ground with force, and a large amount of dark green energy burst out from the ball. After contacting this energy, the portal, which was originally extremely stable, began to shake and collapse in an instant.
The entire portal trembled violently, and then completely disappeared from this space as if it was absorbed by something.
"What," Drex looked at Saren vigilantly, "What did you do!? What kind of spell is this!"
"This is technology, you fool," Saren held his sword and approached the somewhat panicked Drex step by step. "Of course you won't know what this is for the invention after that war."
Drex looked at Saren with a gloomy face, watching him walk to him step by step, and finally gritted his teeth and reached out to touch his waist.
His face quickly became extremely panicked, "How is it possible? This..."
"Are you looking for your amulet, the one your master gave you?" Saren spread out his closed hand, and an exquisite amulet lay in the palm of his hand. The surface of the amulet was carved with lifelike bats and a one-eyed one.
"How could...when did you get it!?" Drex became even more angry after seeing the amulet, but Glendill and Saren both read a hint of fear from his eyes.
"Please," Saren threw the amulet to the ground and stomped it hard, "Didn't Gusmo tell you? How did he escape from my hands? Do you think I'll let this happen after the first time this happened?"
"What!? Gusmore!?"
Drex kept retreating and slowly closed his eyes, "Damn Gusmo, you... Damn bastard!"
He pulled out a short knife from his waist in despair, "You forced me, Salenovis, even if I die here, don't leave without any damage!"
He decisively stabbed the short knife into his chest. After being stained with blood, an evil black light quickly spread out from the short knife and covered Drex's body.
Grendill shot several times in succession, dealt with the last few dragon men, and then walked to Saren and looked at Drex, who had completely turned into a black cocoon, "Oh my God, what is he going to become?"
"A demon," Saren answered concisely, "For those subordinates who are not demons, Strad gave them the ability to devil. Of course, this ability is not at no cost, but at least it can make their strength grow rapidly for a period of time."
"How strong is this so-called rapid progress...?"
"Well..." Saren touched his chin, "at least it can reach the same level as Gusmo."
As they spoke, the light on the surface of the black cocoon had completely disappeared. With the slight cracks coming, cracks began to appear on the body of the cocoon.
"It looks like he's coming out," Saren immediately became serious. "I need your help later. Grundill, even if you are not the best shooter in the empire, you can still be in the top five. I need you to support me remotely."
"I get it," Grundill nodded, "but I don't have a spear."
"It's very simple, I'll make you one."
Saren smiled at him, began to look at his hands intently, and kept muttering something.
"What!?" Grendill looked at Saren with some disbelief, "Tell me you're kidding, Sarah, can you do anything in rune art??"
A slender rifle slowly formed between Saren's hands, a rifle made entirely of Mithril.
"Huh," After the rifle and bullets were formed, Saren breathed a sigh of relief. From his suddenly tired face, it could be seen that such a thing was a great burden for him.
"Look," he smiled at Grendill, who opened his mouth wide, "Although this consumes a lot, for a metal rune master, as long as his mental power is strong enough, nothing can be created."
"Hold it," he stuffed the magazine and the rifle into Grendill's hand, "it's yours, of course, just for the time being, this thing is sucking my mental power every minute and every second."
"What a pity," Grundill hugged the rifle tightly, "I have never used a rifle made entirely of Mithril...even bullets are made of Mithril!"
"Snap the quick battle," Saren pulled out the broken steel again, looking at the black cocoon that had cracked a small mouth, "If we can't defeat him quickly, we will all die here."
"I get it," Grundill picked up a magazine and pressed all the bullets into the magazine compartment. "Grundill is ready."
"Now!" A dull voice came from the black cocoon, and together they emerged an arm that appeared outside the black cocoon, covered with rugged shells. "I am reborn! This feels extremely wonderful, but it is like falling into an abyss."
The black cocoons shattered one by one, and the demonized Drex appeared in front of the two.
Compared with before, his dragon head became more ferocious, and two unique curved corners appeared on it. The skin originally covered by scales is now directly covered with extremely rugged carapace.
The sharp claws of both hands keep flashing with sharp cold light, but it will make people shudder when you look at them.
"Very good, Salenovis," the pair of scarlet eyes quickly locked in his enemy, "You don't know what kind of pain I'm enduring now. It was you who turned me into this for the rest of my life! Extremely painful, extremely hungry and thirsty! Like an insatiable monster! Only your blood can make me feel a little relieved!"
"Come on! Let me see how I can tear you, the poor man!"
"idiot."
Saren jumped up from the ground, and his arms were flashing with a strange silver light.
He flashed into Drex's face and slapped Drex's chest with his arm, but he couldn't even break the shell.
"Haha!" Drex subconsciously closed his eyes, and after realizing that he was unscathed, he burst into laughter, "Is this your power? Poor Salenovis, you can't even penetrate the shell of my body!"
"Ignorance idiot," Saren sneered, and kicked Drex in the chest again, quickly leaving him.
Drex was about to step to chase him, and an inexplicable warning suddenly rose in his heart. He quickly turned his head and looked at it, but saw a scene that almost scared him to death.
The space around him was constantly twisting and collapsed. The experience of countless space shuttles told him that if he did not retreat, the out-of-control space would cut him into pieces.
"What...is space!? When did you master the name?"
"When I was wiping the table," Saren grinned at him, and then reached out to grab it in the air. "Maybe you will be familiar with this thing..."
His hand disappeared strangely in front of everyone, as if it had disappeared from his wrist upwards. Taking advantage of the opportunity of Drex avoiding the fluctuations of space, Saren pulled out an extremely dark sword from the void.
"This is..." Drex narrowed his eyes first, but suddenly opened his eyes wide, "Gosmo's Dark Sword!?"
"Maybe you know now what kind of miserable defeat Gusmo had encountered in my hands."
Saren, holding a dark sword in his left hand and a broken steel in his right hand, rushed towards Drex not far away like a god of war. The magnetic field fluctuated on the surface of Saren, and the rules of nature were controlled by him in the palm of his hand, forming a strange shield.
"The magnetic field is useless to me!"
Drex gritted his teeth, fists out at the two long swords that were slashing towards him.
"Click!"
A light sound came from the left with the sound of the carapace breaking. Drex turned his head and looked hard, and found that the carapace in his left hand had been easily cut into pieces by broken steel, and was falling off the back of his hand piece by piece.
The situation on the right hand is even more strange. The shells thicken at a speed visible to the naked eye, and then continue to weather and fall off, just like time suddenly passed ten thousand years.
"Gosmo's power of time...but this can't kill me!"
Drex let out a roar, and with both fists, he pushed Saren back in the direction he came.
"It's now, Grundill!" Saren, who flew backwards like a shell, didn't care about Drex's offensive, but turned around and roared loudly at Grundill beside him.
"Bang!"
A gunshot suddenly penetrated into their battle, and the bullet made of Mithril was shot out quickly under the power of lightning. Before anyone tried to capture its trace, the bullet was ready to mercilessly penetrated Drex's heart.
"boom!"
To be continued...
