Prologue The Storm Comes
"Ah" Saren yawned, and the sun shone into his room. "Oh my God," he rubbed his eyes and looked at the sun outside in surprise. "If I remember correctly, this should be the second sunrise I have seen, right?"
"Yes," Karen, who was standing beside him, put away the notebook and pen, "You have been talking for two days, Saren, we are all sitting here, listening to you, and not going anywhere."
"Ah, if you think this is a torment, then relax now," Saren laughed. He stood up, hammered his waist hard, and poured himself a cup of strong tea. "The Battle of Cabofis is over." He said with a smile. "The next thing still happens in Stran, but thankfully, I finally don't have to fight with these ordinary people and religious madmen who are hostile to me."
"Well..." Kara made an unspeakable voice, "I still remember it," he said, "You are finally going to start a journey to save yourself, right? And that sword, the sword passed down from ancient times, that is your true purpose in coming to Strand."
"You are right, Kara, my dear student," Saren poured himself another cup of tea. "Sometimes, people gradually forget their original purpose in their busyness, and it is the same for me. After experiencing such a series of fighting, war, and accompanying blood, fire, and corpses for so long, when everything returns to peace, I can't remember my original purpose for a moment."
"But fortunately I have something to remind me," Saren said. "That's the medicine left to me by the old man Sebastian. After going through such a war, being hospitalized, and then recovering, and regaining Stran, I don't have much medicine."
"So I decided to go and be my old business. It's time for those vampires who harm people every day to tremble because I'm coming."
"But that's another story," Saren said, suddenly turned his head off, and everyone booed, but he smiled distractedly, "Please, the old man must take a break, right? This is my second time all night."
He looked at the others and sighed, "I'm not in good spirits now, so I'm wondering if I shouldn't be talking about ancient times at night."
"Anyway," he pulled Karen, who was closest to him, "I'm going to sleep, you'd better go and rest as well. Staying up late is not a good habit, especially for you, Erin."
"All right."
The partners who were originally crowded in Salon's room dispersed one after another. Salon looked at their departure backs, sighed silently, and neatly packed up the mess on the table.
"Do it," he looked at the newly renovated house and smiled proudly. "It seems that I have some skills," he thought, "at least I am a qualified hotel owner."
After cleaning up the room, tiredness and fatigue surged into the heart of the hotel owner, especially since he had just cleaned the house, so he didn't have to struggle or choose. The hotel owner quickly took off his coat and lay on the bed.
The soft cup and pillow wrapped him around him, and he soon fell asleep. Just like the last time he fell asleep, perhaps because the story had separated him a lot of energy, he finally didn't have nightmares again.
"Boom!"
The deafening thunder sounded without warning, and then there was lightning that seemed to tear the world apart. Saren, who was lying on the bed, suddenly opened his eyes, and the thunder continued. He ran up from the bed as if he had thought of something and came to the edge of the bed.
The sunny imperial capital I saw before going to bed was gone, and it was replaced by an extremely gloomy scene. The dark clouds were tired and condensed into an extremely thick black city wall, pressing heavily against the horizon.
Thunder roared on this land with the downpour of rain, and a heavy rain fell.
Saren frowned, "This is not right! Why is there a heavy rain now... Damn it!"
He seemed to have something sounded, ran out of the door, ran all the way to the door of Hickrad's room, and knocked on Hickrad's room hard.
He was so anxious that it looked more like smashing the door than knocking on it.
The loud "bang bang" sound echoed constantly in the corridor. Many residents were alarmed by the noise caused by Saren, and they opened the door and came out to check the situation outside.
"Squeak."
Accompanied by the aging door shaft, Hickrad rubbed his sleepy eyes and appeared in front of Saren's eyes.
"What's wrong, Saren?" he asked in a daze. "You knocked on the door so loudly, and everyone else was scared by you."
“Off-season rainstorm, Hill.”
"What!" Hickrad immediately became energetic when he heard this, "Are you sure?"
"Think about it," Saren said simply, "It's winter!" He emphasized the tone of the word winter, "When have you seen this 'summer rain' in winter?"
"You mean..." Hickrad nodded and turned around and asked.
"No need to be lucky, Hill," Saren smiled bitterly, "I'm sure it's that thing."
"Damn it, damn it," Hickrad rubbed his palms at a loss, "Damn it! We must notify everyone to take refuge, and we must also inform His Majesty the Emperor!"
"I'll leave it to you to take refuge, Hill," Saren patted his shoulder, "I'll go find Ferga now!"
"What! Now! Are you crazy?" Hickrad looked at Saren in disbelief. "That thing is the most powerful time now, and you are planning to go out!"
"It is precisely because of this that I want to go out!" Saren said without looking back, "We must seize the time!"
Hickrad looked at his back and nodded, "Yes, Saren, you're right."
"Gentlemen, ladies, all get up! Hurry!"
His loud voice began to echo in the hotel corridor, and the residents who had just closed the door walked out one by one.
"What's going on?" one of the middle-aged men asked with a frown, "This is a public place. If you continue to disturb others' rest, I will notify the hotel owner!"
"Ah, after this is over, you can complain to me as much as you like, sir," said Hickrad indifferently. "To this day, if you don't want to die, it's better to come with me, we have to take refuge!"
"Suspect?" The middle-aged man and other travelers looked at Hickrad with a fool's eyes, "Oh my God, this is just a rainstorm! A rainstorm! I have never heard of a rainstorm still needed..."
His words were rudely interrupted by Hickrad, who raised his hand to draw a huge water ball. The middle-aged man looked at him and swallowed, "Are you a rune master?"
"Yes," Hickrad nodded, "Let's just say it's a summer rainstorm. Should something from summer appear at this time?"
"Obviously, it shouldn't be possible. Let me tell you a long story short. This is the masterpiece of a wind demon."
"Wind Demon, what is that?"
◇◇◇◇◇
"The Wind Demon is a powerful superior demon, my respected Majesty," Saren bowed slightly to Vlga II. "This kind of demon is born to call the wind and rain, and the anti-seasonal rains with strong winds is a proof of their appearance."
"I understand," Frgar II frowned, "Thank you, Saren, if you weren't here, Eindhoven would have suffered a terrible catastrophe."
He stood up from his seat, "I have to destroy this guy at all costs, what do you need?"
Saren smiled, a strange smile mixed with confidence and worry, "I don't need too many people. Your Majesty, the Wind Demon is a powerful demon. It is almost impossible for ordinary soldiers to cause harm to him. Even if they do it, the damage is not worth mentioning at all."
"Just say what you need?" Ferga II supported his hands on the table, and a pair of eyes flashing with flames locked firmly at Saren.
"I need the Royal Rune Division, Your Majesty."
"Volga II took out the quill," "Then I will transfer you twenty soldiers from the Royal Rune Division, as well as your students, Talos, to your command."
"No, your majesty," Saren stretched out his hand and held the hand of Fergar II holding the quill, and he looked at the young emperor, "You got me wrong," he said, "What I need is the 'Royal Rune Division', Your Majesty."
Vlga II understood now, "You need... the entire rune division?" he asked with a hint of luck.
"Yes," Saren's answer shattered his only remaining fluke, "This is a powerful enemy, and I can certainly be right, but I can't keep it in one place."
"Is this what you need the Rune Division to do?" Frgar II asked curiously.
"Yes, only the Rune Division can do this kind of demon..."
◇◇◇◇◇
"There is no substantial form of this kind," Hickrad looked at the people around him seriously, among them Saren's former lover, his common friend, his lover, and Saren's students.
You have to take responsibility, Hickrad, this is the task Sarah gave you.
He thought so in his heart, his eyes swept across everyone, "Salon went to warn the emperor, I think the evacuation order should be issued soon, but before that, we must act on our own."
"Oh my God, a wind demon?" Karen Sanchez's face was a little pale. "To be honest, I have only seen information about this thing in the hunting book. Now can I see a living wind demon?"
"It's hard to see it, Karen," Hickrad shook his head, "the shape of this thing... is not quite the same as the demon you generally understand."
The alarm sounded at this time, and the residents who were already suspicious turned their heads and rushed to Hickrad, "Please save us, sir."
The middle-aged man in the head was full of pleading eyes, and Hickrad looked at him and patted him on the shoulder, "Of course, friend, of course," he said with a smile, "this is what we were going to do."
The group quickly packed up their things. Hickrad took out his pistol, loaded the bullets as quickly as possible, and took the lead in going down to the first floor.
The first floor was filled with panic and helpless citizens, and everyone looked out the window in fear, noises, crying and scolding mixed together, drowning all the other sounds, including Hickrad's shouts.
"Everyone! Everyone!"
He tried to yell a few times, but was drowned in all kinds of crying.
In desperation, Hickrad raised his pistol.
"Bang!"
The crisp and loud gunshots echoed constantly in the small space of the hotel, and the smell of gunfire was even more dissipated everywhere. Under the intimidation of the gunshots, everyone finally calmed down.
"Everyone! This is an extremely serious incident. The demon is attacking Eindhoven! Don't try to go home by yourself. I will take you to the city guards and they will arrange for you to the nearest shelter!"
"Who are you!?"
"It doesn't matter who I am," Hickrad glanced at the man who called out, "What's important is that I've seen such demons, hunted such demons, and knew how powerful this damn demons were."
"If you don't want to die, you'd better follow me."
◇◇◇◇◇
"If you don't want to die under the devil's hands, you'd better follow me."
Saren looked at the neatly lined up rune of soldiers in front of him and said seriously, "Some of you may not know me, it doesn't matter. You just need to know that following me, you may not die. If you don't follow me, you will have no chance of life."
"Now, head toward the center of the storm!"
The rune division, who received the order, began to march in silence. The current leader Talos walked to his teacher. Like most rune teachers, he seemed to be worried.
"Are you scared, Talos?" The teacher's voice came over. Talos was stunned, and then nodded, "Yes, teacher," he said honestly, "like most of the people here, I have never seen the Wind Demon, and I have only read information about it."
"Don't worry," Saren smiled, the cold rain hit his face, but it boiled strangely, and a large amount of mist appeared.
Behind the fog is a pair of golden vertical pupils that are looming.
"Look!" A sudden scream came from the rune division's queue. Everyone looked in the direction of the soldier's fingers and saw a huge tornado that was rapidly forming.
"Damn it," Saren's face changed suddenly when he saw the tornado, "Everyone speeds up! The wind demon has entered the second stage!"
When the soldiers of the Rune Division heard this, they lowered their heads and raised their heads. Those who were proficient in the name of ventilation began to bless their companions with energy. Everyone was much faster than before.
For a moment, besides the sound of rain, there was only the sound of leather boots trampling in the rain.
As Saren marched, he looked at the city guards who were directing residents to take refuge on the roadside. "I hope Ferga's orders are timely enough," he sighed in his heart. "I don't know how many people heard the alarm."
The goal of this thought was quickly transferred to his friends, "Shikrad, Kara, Karen... all, I hope you can be safe."
