Chapter 25 The New Plan

"Okay, let's talk."

I opened the door and Hickrad walked into my room with Sephili while talking. He was holding a napkin for wiping his mouth, and there were obvious oil stains and food residues hanging on his mouth.

"You'd better wipe your mouth clean first, Hill," I stood up and pushed the half-eat breakfast aside, "You're really full of oily mouth now."

"Okay, it's my fault," Hickrad shrugged and wiped his mouth hard with a napkin. "Do you have tooth powder here? Maybe I should clean my teeth again."

"Ah, let's talk about it when we finish talking," I picked up the information Kalek gave me and spread them one by one onto the table, "Come and have a look."

"So this is the information you got?" Hickrad whistled, bent down and read each information carefully. "It's so detailed - where did you get it?"

"Cerfid's guild leader," I replied concisely, "you should know him, the white blood nemesis Kalek."

"It turned out to be him," Hickrad showed a sudden expression, "I didn't expect him to stay here all the time."

"I didn't expect it."

"From this perspective, the information you got is indeed very precious," Hickrad picked up one of the pages casually, "Hey! Ladies! You have to come and see this!"

"What did you find?" I also curiously came over and found that Hickrad was holding a manuscript full of handwriting in his hand, with a line of large words on the top: "Midnight Ghost Character Analysis".

"Come here," Hickrad turned his body so that all three of us could see what was written on the information. "Kaleck not only kept observing this midnight ghost, but also analyzed his personality in detail."

"Here," he pointed to a line of words on the information, "Did you see it? Kalek said that the victims were all women, and that's interesting news."

"Look here again," his fingers slid to another passage in the lines below, "Even the hunters who came to pursue midnight ghosts were treated differently - male hunters were usually dismantled into pieces and turned into corpses on the ground, while female hunters were only sucked in blood."

"Ha," I smiled sarcastically, "it looks like it's still a gentleman."

"What you said may make sense," Hickrad put down the information, "but I think it's more like a psychological trauma, so it develops such a strange habit. You know, it's like seeing a wild wolf with fresh meat."

"It's true," Erin nodded, joining our conversation. "Although I don't know much about vampires - but aren't you saying vampires are transformed from humans? I guess this may be a quirk he developed during his time in humanity. At least in the aristocratic circles, it's not uncommon for guys with quirks."

"Then it must have been hurt by a woman before," I picked up the document again, "that is why I hate women so much."

"It's also possible that she is a woman herself...who knows."

"None of these are the points," Hickrad looked at me, then looked at Serfire who had just spoken, and smiled. "What's important is that we know its character, and this will become its weakness."

"This is great news," I rubbed my hands and said excitedly, "Kaleck's information first!"

"Yes," Hickrad nodded, picking up other materials to start reading, "so we'd better take a closer look at if there's more useful information about Midnight Ghost."

Kalek is indeed an extremely outstanding veteran hunter. Not only is he powerful in combat, but he is also better than ordinary hunters in other aspects. If it weren't for the same handwriting of these materials, it would be hard for me to imagine that such a organized huge document was compiled by him alone - just to catch a mysterious vampire count.

"God, look at these things," Hickrad picked up one piece of information after another, and kept muttering: "Summary of the time of appearance, summary of the place of appearance, summary of the law of action, summary of appearance... Although I have never seen Kalek, he has won my respect."

"So," I said with admiration, "he is truly a great hunter."

"Look at this," I took the information in my hand and attracted the other three, "Did you see it? Kalek thinks Midnight Ghosts like to appear on the Furnace Road the most."

"The Road of the Roof?" Hickrad raised his eyebrows and quickly cursed with a smile: "Damn it, isn't that the road where the Rose Garden is located!?"

"That makes sense," Erin nodded thoughtfully. "This road is the highest red light and entertainment area in the entire Chelfi," she explained to us. "Here, even ordinary prostitutes are much more noble than ordinary civilians, not to mention the local noble ladies and ladies."

"This is the second personality trait of Midnight Ghost," I immediately reacted, "Look, he never attacked civilians or poor women, but stayed on this street - this means he must have had conflicts with the nobles!"

"You are right," Sefili quickly reacted, "as long as we follow this clue, we will definitely be able to find out his name and identity hidden in society."

"Hey guys," Hickrad interrupted our idea at this moment, holding a piece of material in his hand and a bitter smile on his face. "Calak, who is responsible for sorting out the materials, wouldn't you think we can think of anything we can think of?

"He has done a survey, regardless of gender," Hickrad threw the information before us. "Look at it yourself, and all of these people died."

"It's impossible that they all actually died," I said, which is simply unreasonable. "The only explanation is that some of them are Midnight Ghosts, and he knew that his identity would be exposed sooner or later, so he chose to use death to cover up his existence."

"You think of what Kalek wrote on it," Hickrad smiled helplessly at me. "He found the most likely target, a down-and-out baron-but it didn't work. The baron froze to death five years ago, at least that's what the official document said."

"So this road won't work," I shook my head. Oh my God, this feeling is really bad. This kind of thing can only be done by the brain, not by the broken steel or rune technique in my hands - that's what you need to use in the last step.

"When it comes to this," Hickrad suddenly remembered and looked at me with some concern, "Is your head okay, Sarah?"

"It's been better," I laughed, "I forgot to tell you, it's completely better in the ashes."

While blessing me, the demigod Lagotila also healed all my injuries. With the presence of two ladies, I failed to tell Hicladmin, but I blinked at him, and I thought he would understand what I mean.

"Ah—" Hickrad shouted meaningfully, "that would be better."

After saying that, he also blinked at me.

"I'm in my best condition now," I said. "Since this road doesn't work, we might have to change it."

"A different approach?" Hickrad frowned and began to rub his chin. This was the most common position he used when thinking about problems. Sometimes I felt that I must be influenced by him and started rubbing my chin.

According to him, “the roughness of the stubble rubs back and forth on the skin can help me think.”

"I know what you mean. We do have another way, that is, to send a lady to seduce him. This must be your plan, right?"

Although Hickrad used questions, he looked at me with great certainty, which made me feel a familiar and intimate feeling in my heart, which originated from the powerful tacit understanding between us.

I smiled and didn't say anything. Since Hickrad understood what I mean, let him explain.

"But there is a loophole in your approach, Sarah," To my surprise, Hickrad did not immediately accept and agree with my approach, but shook his head, "We four are celebrities in Strand, have you forgotten?"

"I can guarantee it," he continued, "we just entered Chelfidu, and the name spread out, and the damn guy was targeted by this damn guy. I don't believe he wouldn't pay attention to us--this is a very cunning and terrified bat, according to Kalek."

He said this, and no longer continued to infer, but looked at me quietly. After a while, he said, "Do you know what's wrong with your plan now?"

Of course I already knew, Hickrad was right, I was too eager to ignore this.

I smiled bitterly: "You are right, Hill, I've ignored this. This damn guy must know Sefili and Erin."

"That's right," Hicklad slapped the table hard. Sefili, who was beside him, was startled. He stroked his chest first, and then looked at Hicklad on the side with some anger.

But Hickrad didn't care about Sefili's gaze, but continued to say seriously: "Think about it? We, who have always acted together, suddenly separated one day, and only one woman was acting alone late at night, and looked unprepared. What would you think?"

"This is a trap," the three of us answered in unison.

"Yes, Midnight Ghost wouldn't know that this is a trap, it will also reveal that we have mastered his character and behavioral laws - if this makes him know, he has a high chance of running away."

"Then let's follow a woman and go out for rescue when he takes action?" Sefili interrupted.

"This is not feasible," I was going to speak, but after thinking about it, I decided to ask Hickrad to explain to her that this was a good opportunity to enhance feelings.

"Because of our existence, Midnight Ghost has been afraid to come out for activities lately," Hickrad explained patiently to Sefili, "and your plan will put innocent nobles in danger, and I will never allow it."

"But..." His beauty turned again and finally stopped on me, "I have a wonderful idea, thanks to you, Sarah."

"Thanks to me?" I looked at the smile on his face, and suddenly felt a very bad premonition in my heart.

"What's your idea, Hill?"

"Do you remember what you told me before, when you were a child, you always knew how to act, sing and play the piano?"

"Of course," I was even more scared, "but what does this have to do with what we are going to do?"

Hickrad ignored me and turned to look at Erin and Sephili, "Is Sarah's face pretty?" I heard him ask in a low voice.

Sefili and Erin both nodded vigorously. They raised their heads and secretly observed me while whispering to Hicklad, which made my heart feel worse.

"Yes, this plan is indeed feasible," after a while of discussion, Hickrad straightened his waist and nodded with satisfaction. "There are no other women among us, but we can make one."

"Make one?" The uneasiness in my heart disappeared after hearing Hickrad's words. I looked at Hickrad curiously, "Are we going to ask the people from the Rose Garden to help?"

"Well... maybe," Hickrad looked at me, "How is the etiquette manager here, Erin?"

“Excellent enough.”

"That would be better," Hickrad clapped his hands, "it's all, the etiquette manager here will train you to be a qualified noble bard, Sarah."

"That's better...wait, what did you say!?"

I looked at Hickrad in disbelief, and if I understand correctly, he wanted me to pretend to be a woman! It was outrageous!

"You heard it right, Sarah," Hickrad said to me with a serious face, "Look at my face, do you think I'm suitable to dress up as a woman?"

I looked at Hickrad, and he was right. Although he was very handsome, his male characteristics were too obvious and would be recognized at first sight.

"Let's see you again," Hickrad pulled me to the mirror, "Did you see it? You are very pretty. Even now, as long as you don't speak, I will think you are a girl!"

I looked at the face in the mirror carefully, and after a while, I was frustrated to find that what Hickrad was right. My hair was not strong, and my beard was shaved cleanly every day. On the surface, I was too neutral - if you ignore my voice and Adam's apple.

"It's settled," Hickrad clapped his hands excitedly, "You will be our winning tool, Sarah, but the most important step is to draw out the Midnight Ghost."

"For this, we need the help of the Vampire Hunter Guild-or Kalek's help, and Midnight Ghost must think that we are really leaving before he dares to come out and attack passers-by again."

"It's urgent, I think we'd better go to the Hunter Guild right away," he said hurriedly. "You have to come back for training, oh, by the way, your name and falsetto training. Savos is not like a girl's name, you can think of a cuter."
