Chapter 83 Blood Prison Legion(1/2)

The carriage slowly drove into the north gate of Brinto. I sat in the carriage and watched the convoy slowly pass through the majestic gate.

The Gate of Richness is the name of this city gate and the most magnificent of all the gates of Brinto.

After many years, I returned to this coastal city. These familiar locations and buildings made me feel mixed. I remembered Keiras in the basement. Is he still there? How should I tell him about Sally.

There are also friends from the Thieves Guild. They must have known my situation. Should I go back to find them? It may bring danger to them.

It is also possible that they had left the city long ago.

After passing the checkpoint of the Gate of Richness, the crowded crowd quickly spread out along the street. The carriage finally stopped moving forward a little, and could easily gallop on the street.

I haven't been back for so long, and the changes in Port Brinto are even bigger than I thought. There are three or four times more floating train tracks in the sky than before, and there are endless streams of floating trains coming and going. There are also a lot more steamed cars running on the streets than before. It is almost impossible for you to see the shadow of the carriage in Brintori again.

The carriage quickly turned right along the street, and what appeared in front of me was the boundless blue sea and the magnificent Port Brinto Pier.

While our carriages were slowly moving forward on the street, a huge ship—much larger than the whaling ship I saw in the imperial capital—was slowly approaching the unloading port, and the three large chimneys on the hull were constantly spitting out steam, which gathered together with the steam emitted from many places in the city, and were cleaned up at one time by a breeze blowing from somewhere.

This must be a newly invented treatment device in Port Brinto, otherwise the steam would turn the city into a big steamer.

"Ah, we're here, Master Cott," the carriage stopped slowly in front of the warehouse of the Boro Trading Company. The carriage head Term smiled and said hello to me, and jumped out of the carriage.

I took a deep breath, picked up my luggage, and walked off the carriage under the servitude of the caravan.

As soon as I got off the carriage, the unique salty smell of the coastal city came into my nose along the wind blowing from the coastline. I took a deep breath and felt that everything was so familiar.

Blinto, the first city I can call home, I'm back.

Unfortunately, I can't stay here for a long time. I haven't forgotten that I am still a wanted criminal in Valenlia and Eindhoven. The sooner I go to sea, the safer I will be.

It was early in the morning when I arrived. A newspaper boy ran to my neighborhood with a whole backpack on his backpack and started shouting loudly. His age reminded me of myself at the time. These newspaper boys were very common in Breton. When I first came to this city, the newspaper industry was not very developed, so I did not become a newspaper boy.

A year after I joined the Thieves Guild, perhaps because of the light of communicating with Strand, Blinto's newspaper industry ushered in a rapid development. Various newspapers sprung up like mushrooms after a rain, and newspaper boys began to appear in various places on the streets and alleys.

But this is all in the past. I took a look at the young newspaper boy for the last time and turned around to leave. But behind me, there was a shout that made me extremely interested.

"Latest news! Latest news! The latest achievements of the Royal Academy of Sciences and Strand's latest inventions are all in the new issue of the newspaper!"

I know that the Royal Academy of Sciences is the highest level of science and technology in the entire empire. As for the Strand Republic, let alone the advantages of being an island country that allow them to be naturally far away from the troubles of Verodi, and science and technology have always been their strengths.

"Maybe it's good to buy a newspaper, just like to help the kid," I told myself, turned around and walked back.

"Do you want a newspaper, sir?" The newspaper boy saw me turn and walk back, his eyes suddenly lit up, and he asked expectantly.

"I'll ask you a question first, boy," I took off my velvet hat and asked curiously: "What is the latest invention of the so-called Royal Academy of Sciences?"

"You have asked the right person," the newspaper boy said with a smile after hearing my question, "Only our newspaper in Brinto knows what it is. I can tell you, but you have to buy a newspaper first."

His words made me laugh and my mood improved a lot. "You cunning guy," I cursed with a smile, took out a silver coin from my pocket and handed it to him, "Give me a newspaper and I have to talk about it."

The newspaper boy's eyes became even colder. I know why: a silver coin is one hundred copper coins. If he cuts out the two copper coins in the newspaper, he can still earn ninety-eight copper coins, which is a huge sum of money for a child of this age.

"You are so kind, sir, may the God of Light bless you," the newspaper boy quickly accepted the silver coins I handed him, skillfully took out a newspaper from his bag and handed it to me, "The Pioneer, the most comprehensive and fair newspaper in the whole of Breton."

I took the newspaper he handed over, and the front page headlines were what he called "the latest invention of the Royal Academy of Sciences". The title was extra-large bold and bold, so it was hard not to notice it.

The newspaper said that the Royal Academy of Sciences has developed a new vehicle called an airship. Unlike steam robots, steamers and other vehicles, airships are a type of airship. According to the Pioneer, the airship is filled with a "gas that are lighter than air", which makes the airship float in mid-air. The rear of the airship is a propeller responsible for helping the airship move forward and turn.

Pioneer also highlighted that airships are different from fake floating single-person aircraft that rely on air rails to connect. This is an epoch-making new vehicle because it does not need to be connected to air rails.

I quickly finished reading the entire article and widened my eyes in surprise, "This is really beyond my expectations," I put away the newspaper and looked at the newspaper boy beside me, "Is this airship in the imperial capital?"

"No, sir," the newspaper boy raised his chest proudly when he heard me ask, as if he had invented the airship. "For the sake of a silver coin, there is an exclusive news from your Pioneer News. My good sir, the airship has been put into use! This morning, at the same time as the news was released, here, Brinto will set up a route for airships to and from the Imperial Capital, which is more convenient than the previous carriages and ships!"

"You will see the airship soon, sir," the newspaper boy added quickly before I could speak, "calculate the time, the first flight from the Imperial Capital is about to arrive here!"

As soon as the newspaper boy finished speaking, a "whimper" sound came from behind the thick clouds. Many workers, civilians, merchants and factory owners who were busy in the dock area heard this sound. Everyone raised their heads in confusion and looked at the sky.

It was like a hurricane, or two giant dragons fighting in it. The clouds in the sky surged violently and quickly spread out in all directions. A scene that many people will remember for the rest of their lives happened.

A huge spacecraft slowly sailed out of the clouds. It was an extremely huge spacecraft. Its shadow covered the sky and the sun and blocked one block after another. I could hear the exclamations and fearful shouts of citizens everywhere in the city.

I could understand their thoughts. The airship was too big, more than a hundred meters long. Under the huge airbag was the airship cabin for people to ride.

The propeller rotated rapidly and slowly docked next to the aerial platform of the mooring station with the spacecraft. This mooring station is the tallest building in the entire Port of Brinto, much taller than the previous government building.

"It's spectacular, isn't it, good sir," the newspaper boy beside me murmured as he looked at the behemoth in the sky, "I believe this is just the most basic airship. We will soon build faster and bigger airships, just like we build bigger and faster robots!"

"There will be a day," I lowered my head, smiled and rubbed his head, and left the dock area with my armored package and backpack.

I carried my luggage and bought a ticket to Strand at the ticket office of the passenger ship. From Port Brinto to Port Marin in the Southern Islands of Strand, thirty gold Puer.

After buying the ticket to Strand, I decided to go to the places I used to take a walk and see if I could find a place to save the armor on my hands.

I don't want to bring such a set of equipment with very obvious characteristics to Stran. This set of armor can easily reveal my identity.

If there is anything that has not changed over the years, it is the class gap in this city. I walked from the dock area to the outer ring area. Everything here was the same as when I first arrived in this city, with crowded shacks, ragged civilians, the lowest gangsters, and the pitiful orphans who were not rescued.

Depressed crying and moans came from the houses on the street from time to time. There were few pedestrians on the street. Occasionally, people passed by me, and most of them covered themselves tightly. The only pair of eyes exposed was filled with indifference and vigilance.

I sighed and walked deeper along the road I remembered. At the end of the road, I was greeted by a tall city wall and a cold-faced guard.

"Stop!" As soon as I walked a hundred steps in front of the door, the two guards behind the door called me, "The Central District behind this is the Central District. Are you in trouble?"

"I'm not from the outer ring, gentlemen," I raised my hands high, signaling that I was not at risk. "Look at my dress and wool hat, people in the outer ring cannot afford it."

The guard who had made a sound before heard what I said, looked at me suspiciously before waved at me, "Come here," he said, his tone much softer than before, "Are you coming from the dock?"

I nodded, "I came back from the dock area and thought about going to the outer ring to see it, gentlemen."

"Well," the guard nodded, let me enter the Central Ring District, and before leaving, he warned sternly: "In the future, please use empty tracks when you go to the dock area."

"It must be," I nodded at them, made several promises, and walked into the Central District with my luggage.

The situation got worse than when I was here. I remembered the long gate passage I passed when I entered Breitto from the Gate of Breit. It was not an ordinary gate passage at all, but an isolation passage that crossed the entire outer ring area.

The entire outer ring area has been completely isolated by Breton. Oh my God, it is like a rotten garbage pile, hopeless, and the people there are no goals, like numb corpses.

I have only seen this in cities where there is an outbreak of incurable lethal infectious diseases, where people gather all the poor people who are infected and watch them slowly die and rot until the disease is completely wiped out.

But what did the people of Blinto do wrong? Tens of thousands of people rot in the outermost ring area and slowly die, enduring the torture of epidemics and toxins.

I really want to do something for them, but I am not the Virgin and I don’t have much time, so my boat will be open this afternoon.

The atmosphere in the Central District is much easier than outside, everything is the same as when I left, except that the streets have become more spacious.

The bell tower is still in its original position, which is even more magnificent and grand. I guess it must have been renovated well.

I walked along the road and soon arrived at the Bell Tower Square, one of the most familiar places in Brinto.

I stood under the gorgeous bell tower, wondering whether to visit Kelas first or to go back to the Thieves Guild first.

Finally, I decided to return to the abandoned Losanda Church to see the kind pastor and the large group of children he raised.

The square in Luosanda's abandoned church was not too far away. I walked slowly on the road, and the memories of the past became clearer and clearer.

The abandoned church is still abandoned, and out of respect for ancient gods, no one, gang or church dominated the place.

I pushed open the half-covered dust-filled door and felt my heart pounding, as if I was about to run out of my throat in the next second.

I can't help but be nervous. Since I took Sally away, so many things have happened, and many things have been completely different from before.

Many things in the church have accumulated a small layer of dust, which shows that Kelas is likely to be still under this church. Otherwise, there would be no reason that there was only such a little dust in the church, and all the valuable things had long been taken away, so the thieves had no reason to visit the church again.

I opened the floor door in the warehouse with a familiarity and walked down the stairs.

The basement is very bright, and the wall lights I have decorated are still performing their responsibilities. I took a deep breath and had no other feelings except excitement.

"It's okay, Salon, it's okay," I whispered to myself, and took the step into the room with all my strength.

"Huh!" After I stepped into the room that I was extremely familiar with, I breathed a sigh of relief and began to look at the situation in the room.

Most of the things were the same as before I left, the wardrobe I collected and the decoration I invited were all the same as when I left, just as time had stopped.

Apart from a young man coaxing the baby by the bed, he looked at the luxurious dress on me, put down the baby in his hand, walked up to me with a little hurriedly and asked, "Sir, who are you looking for?"

I looked him carefully for a few seconds and felt a bad premonition in my heart. I had never seen this person before, but he was still doing the same thing as Keiras.

Is Kailas dead? No, it's impossible, he's still young, impossible.

I shook my head and drove away this bad idea from my mind. It seemed that my movements were a bit big, and the young man in front of me was slightly startled.

"Sorry," I took off my hat and looked at him with a smile, "I'll come to find Kailas."

"Are you looking for Kailas?" The young man looked at me, showing a suspicious look, "Wait."

After he said this, he left me in the room. I breathed a sigh of relief that the worst thing did not happen, which was enough for me.

After the feeling of relief, I felt an indescribable tension, mixed with expectation and fear. I rubbed my hands crampedly, waiting for the young man to give me a reply.

It didn't take long before the young man came out of the room, "Get in," he glanced at me, with a warning in his voice, "But pay attention to your behavior."

"Thank you very much," I nodded at him, grabbed my hat and luggage and walked to the inner room.

As soon as I stepped over the door, I saw an extremely familiar thin figure. He was sitting next to the table, carefully carving a baby cradle that was still a semi-finished product.

My eyes suddenly became blurred, and the scene in front of me was almost exactly the same as when I first met him, except that Kailas was old and I could see the white hair on his sideburns.

As if I was shocked by the sound I made, Kailas put down the work in his hand, put on his glasses and looked at me. He first showed a somewhat confused look, and soon turned into a sudden enlightenment.

"I kept wondering who would come to visit me, and I was a little surprised when Charles talked to me," before I could speak, Keiras smiled and said, "Until I saw you, although your hair color was different from him, I knew you were Saren, long time no see, child."

"Kelas," I heard him call out my name in person, tears in my eyes could no longer be controlled, and I began to flow down my rinse. I dropped my luggage in my hand and rushed over, hugging him, "I'm sorry, I couldn't take good care of Sally."

"What's wrong with that, Saren, I saw the wanted order, but I believe you are not like this."
