Chapter 85: The Underground Kingdom Labnak(2/2)

◇◇◇◇◇

Talos suddenly woke up from his dream, and Karen was sitting next to him, with a drizzle outside the window.

"What day is it now?"

"At noon on the sixth day," Karen replied, "It's not so good. On rainy days, there's no way to fire the rifle, mortar and cannon. Fortunately, we've killed all the Cyclops and most of the Dragons."

"The price is almost all the shells," Talos smiled bitterly, "and there is an elite Daruian commando opposite. I don't know how many of them have, but judging from the current situation, they are probably the real killer move."

"Try hard," Karen looked at the rain outside the window and suddenly said something like this, "Salen always tells us not to think about whether it is successful, just work hard."

The alarm sounded again in the camp and Talos jumped out of the bed, "Let's go, we have to get to the wall."

Karen sighed and left his beloved notepad on the table, "I don't know if I have any chance to complete this biography."

"There will be, kid," Talos patted his shoulder, "we will never die here."

They came to the city wall side by side, and the elite Darui'an commando was already heading towards the city wall.

“How many of them have?”

"I don't know," Reyes shook his head, "but from this scale, there are at least 1,500 people."

“Do we still have long-range weapons that we can use?”

"There are some crossbows, and some steam guns imported from Strand, but not many, and only a thousand people can be armed."

"That's enough. The soldiers can't fight with fire sticks."

“It has been distributed.”

"Be ready," Talos sighed, "I have a premonition that this will be a tough battle."

The Darui'an commando under the city took steady steps and continued to move forward. They wore thick armor, held long swords and kite shields, and crossed the midfield step by step.

After crossing the midfield, they suddenly lashed out their shields with their swords, raised their heads and let out a roar, and then charged towards the city walls.

"Open fire!"

The crossbow arrows and steam guns on the wall were fired in response to the sound, and dense crossbow arrows and spears shot out. Although most of them were blocked by shields and armor, when there were numbers, many commandos died under the city wall.

But more commandos had rushed to the city wall, and the ladder was raised high by them and then firmly laid on the city wall.

"The ladder is set up, prepare for close combat!"

The soldiers around the cloud ladder handed the long-range weapons in their hands to their colleagues, then pulled out the sword at their waists and the round shield on their backs.

This is a melee configuration for the Imperial soldiers. They were trembling and their faces were full of fear, but none of them left their posts.

The first Daruian demon soon appeared in front of everyone. It let out a grim smile, and the sword in its hand directly cut over an imperial soldier. The round shield made of high-quality steel was as fragile as paper in front of the sword.

"kill!"

Talos pulled out his scepter and rushed to the front line with a pioneer. His body was shining with a sensational lightning. Every time the scepter was knocked down, a headless and scorched corpse would fall from the city wall.

But personal courage cannot change anything, even if they are a team, more and more Darui'an demons rushed up the city wall, and the imperial soldiers must team up with five to six people to restrain a Darui'an demon.

Karen tirelessly waved the wind and thunder swords in his hand. The Darui'an demons were not his enemies at all. His face and body were covered with brown blood.

He didn't know how many Darui'an demons he had killed, he only knew that they looked endless, as if every time he killed one, two would climb up to the city wall.

Kara, who was standing beside him, chanting a strange song, and two Daruian demons who were approaching him suddenly began to kill each other, one stabbed his sword into the heart of the other, and the other cut his companion into two pieces.

"How are you, Kara?"

As his hand rose and the sword fell, a large stream of brown blood gushed out. Karen shook his slightly sore arm and asked.

"I'm fine, what about you?"

“It’s so good.”

Karen raised his sword again and rushed towards Kylord's position. The irritable dwarf was now wearing his extremely heavy armor, holding a power hammer. The Daruian Demon standing in front of him either turned into a meat sauce or a pile of rotten meat.

"Come on, you demon scum!" He let out a loud roar, and the warhammer swirled around, and several Daruian demons flew out. Judging from their sunken chests, they had no chance of survival.

"Haha!" Kylord took advantage of the victory and smashed a demon's head with another hammer. "I can kill ten thousand more, you bastards!"

Karen waved his thunder and lightning swords and rushed to him with difficulty, "How are you, Kylord?"

"It's not better, clerk!" Kylord knocked down two demons like a bull, and then made a hammer for them one by one, then smiled at Karen, "You'd better go and support Talos, there are a lot of demons climbing up his position."

Karen nodded, forced himself to raise his arms, and continued to fight towards Talos's position. Between them were countless Darui'an demons.

Talos and Hiccrad leaned tightly together, and there were no living imperial soldiers around them. The regiment commander Reyes had already died heroically, and the soldiers of the Rune Division were even divided.

"How are you doing, Hiccrad," Talos began to breathe heavily, with a blood mark on his left arm, "It looks like we are in trouble today."

"I'm fine," Hickrad wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. "Even if we're going to die, we have to pull these damn demons on the back."

"That's right," Talos laughed. He gathered an electric whip again with difficulty, killing the Darui'an demon who surrounded them.

"It's me!"

A young voice penetrated from outside the field, Karen waved the Fenglei swords expressionlessly, and all the Darui'an demons who dared to stand in his way turned into pieces on the ground.

"Ah, damn it!"

A scream came from not far away, and Talos hurriedly looked up and saw a soldier from the rune division cut off his left foot with a sword.

"For the Empire! For the Rune Division!" He showed a decisive look in his eyes, and suddenly hugged the demon who was grinning, and then drew a rune on himself as fast as possible.

Countless fiery red energy was introduced into his body by him, and soon he turned into a dazzling red light and continued to expand until he made a shocking explosion.

The nearby Darui'an demon, together with the rune master, had all disappeared completely, as if they had never existed in this world. The originally flat walls and ground turned into a big pit, and now they were still emitting blue smoke.

“The Empire will remember yours.”

Another loud bang soon came from the other side. Solad, who had treated Kara, also turned into the purest flame energy body amid a burst of laughter, taking away another group of Darui'an demons who climbed the city wall.

The reserve team composed of imperial soldiers blocked the stairs tightly. Many people burst into tears, but they still gritted their teeth and kept launching long-range shootings on the city wall.

The Imperial soldiers still on the city wall hugged the Darui'an demon in front of them, exposing their weaknesses, and allowing their teammates' steam gun to shoot their heads and the demon's throat together.

"Damn it, you are all crazy!"

The human-shaped demon appeared on the city wall again. He was trembling all over, his eyes were filled with anger. Just as he was speaking, another rune master energyd himself.

Accompanied by another deafening loud noise, another group of Darui'an demons disappeared into this world.

"You are indeed coming up, and all your troops are coming up."

Karen put down his two swords and smiled at the human-shaped demon, "The method Saren left is indeed useful."

"What?" The demon looked at Karen's crazy and determined eyes, and a very bad premonition suddenly surged in his heart.

"It's time," Talos raised his scepter, "all those who can remove the walls will retreat immediately and detonate the gunpowder!"

Karen was waving the wind and thunder swords and was about to rush towards the human-shaped demon, but Talos suddenly knocked down the wall, and Hiclard was also knocked down the wall with him.

"What, Talos, no!"

"This is my war, my child, not yours, you still have your mission to complete."

"No!"

Accompanied by a not-so-sounding explosion, just like an ancient god was angry, the entire city wall became fragmented in the fire. The imperial soldiers burst into laughter and hurriedly held the Darui'an demon who could be held back, and their bodies were still torn apart by the explosion together with them.

A huge shock wave rushed towards Karen, and he flew out like a piece of rag for several meters, hitting heavily on the wall of a building.

Hickrad, who was standing beside him, kept coughing while covering his mouth, ran over with difficulty, and pulled Karen up.

"Damn, Talos, damn!"

"Calm down, Karen," Hickrad slapped Karen in the face, "I saw Talos, he is not dead yet!"

He pointed not far away, and Talos was lying there, with wounds everywhere on his body and burns, but his constant ups and downs proved that he was indeed alive.

"Damn it!" Karen left two lines of hot tears, and pulled Talos back to him and Hickrad like crazy. "He needs treatment immediately."

"I'm afraid we don't have that kung fu now," Hickrad smiled bitterly, pointing to the completely collapsed wall, "They are here."

From the dust and the thick fog, the remaining troops of the Darui'an Commando came out, and the human-shaped demon was led.

Most of his body was burned out of recognition, "Ah... Damn it, my Darui'an commando was almost wiped out, very well, you have successfully angered me. I swear in the name of Darui'an, the Lord of the Yellow Springs, that you will all die here in the most miserable posture."

The soldiers of the Empire got up one after another and fought with the group of commando demons again. Karen didn't care about the injuries on his body and stood up gritted his teeth.

His mind was almost dry, but he pulled out a long sword of lightning and rushed forward with the soldiers.

Cara, Kylord, Hicklard, and Erin rushed up with him, and she also had a cold face behind her, constantly releasing spells.

"Damn it," Karen tried his best to slash a demon again, shouting in despair: "They have at least five hundred people, we failed."

"Then kill as much as possible!"

The glory of the earth flashed on Hickrad's fists, and with just one punch, he smashed a demon's head.

But the battlefield is the battlefield after all. Even if they try hard to kill the enemy, the Imperial Army was eventually slaughtered. The remaining Daruian Demon surrounded the remaining few people in the middle.

"Ah, it seems that it's really time for me to arrive."

A strange voice suddenly sounded outside the city wall, followed by a dense sound of gunfire like a storm. The defenseless Daruian demons were instantly beaten into sieve.

“What is it…”
