Chapter 17 The white fox worships the moon(1/2)

Hold on to the tree vines and cross a mountain stream.

Li Changan landed lightly on a rock. The dew from the mountain soaked into the fabric of his clothes, and the night wind chilled him to the bone.

He didn't pay attention to the coldness, he just concentrated on looking for the smell of fox among the various smells in the mountains.

It's already very close.

He searched for the scent left by the fox and went into the old mountain forest behind the farm. The mountains were rugged and there were no paths. After a few hours, even Li Changan was exhausted.

He slowly exhaled and sat down cross-legged to take a rest. Through the gaps between the branches and leaves of the mountain forest, he could see the lights of the farm in the distance, which were already far behind him.

Li Changan turned off the flashlight and suddenly felt the clear moonlight in the mountains.

"The moon is out?"

He looked up and saw a full moon rising in the sky behind the gap in the tree canopy.

The moon... seems to be bigger than usual?

He, Li Changan, is not an affectionate and talented person who has nothing to do with the moon. He doesn't care much about whether the moon is bigger or smaller.

He opened the black umbrella again and released Boss Wu. After all, the aura environment in this world was not suitable for spiritual activities, so when he was on his way, he took Boss Wu back into the umbrella. This time, Boss Wu must be at home.

It takes a lot of time to cultivate.

Boss Wu came out again and said "Hey".

"What?" Li Changan asked immediately. The scent of the fox was already very close, and he couldn't help but be careful.

"Nothing?" Boss Wu wanted to scratch his head, but found that it was too swollen to scratch, so he had to scratch his chest, "You just feel very comfortable?"

Comfortable? Maybe it’s because the aura of the mountains is not as turbid as the city.

Li Changan didn't pay much attention and pointed at the mountain.

"The fox's lair should be not far over there. You go and investigate first. If you find it, come back and call me."

He was afraid that if he barged in directly and the noise he made would scare the fox, he asked Boss Wu to take the lead first. After all, in terms of covert investigation, an invisible ghost was perfect.

Before leaving, Li Changan warned: "After you find the fox, don't do anything. Come back and take me first. Be careful not to be exposed!"

Boss Wu nodded and disappeared into Lin Mang.

Li Changan found a flat ground, sat up cross-legged, and gathered his energy.

………………

About half an hour later.

Boss Wu returned to this woodland.

As soon as he showed his head, the first thing he heard was the sound of "clang" and the sound of the sword being unsheathed.

He followed the sound and looked over.

Under the dim moonlight, a black outline could be vaguely seen under the tree. In the outline, a pair of eyes and half of a sword blade seemed to emit a weak but sharp light.

Boss Wu knew that the silhouette was Li Changan, but the sword light in his eyes made him dare not move forward.

On the contrary, Li Changan saw clearly that the person coming was Boss Wu, put away his sword, and walked out of the shadows.

"How's it going? Did you find it?"

Boss Wu breathed a sigh of relief and nodded quickly.

"Found it. But..."

"Just what?" Li Changan asked.

"Eh..." He scratched his chest, but couldn't form words for a while, so he finally said: "I can't tell, you can just go and take a look."

One person and one ghost took the downdraft and slowly groped in the direction of the fox.

Not long after, Mr. Wu whispered to Li Changan:

"It's right in front."

Li Changan carefully pushed aside the thatch in front of him and looked over.

There is a cliff ahead. There is a small platform in front of the cliff, and the fox is on this platform.

But the first thing Li Changan noticed was not the fox or the cliff, but the large moon in the sky.

The reason why I say this is because the moon is so incredibly big that it occupies a quarter of the sky. The moonlight is not scattered, but flows down from the moon like a clear mountain spring. The moonlight is full on the cliff.

Like a clear pond.

In the moonlight.

There are seven foxes. Each one has a skull on its head.

Six foxes formed a circle. Under the pale skeletons, their slender bodies were twisting and shaking. If you look closely, you can actually find some rhythm and charm in them.

A ridiculous thought came to Li Changan's mind: Are they dancing?

Six foxes were "dancing" while going around in a circle, and in the center of the circle was an old white fox with hair that was so long that it dragged to the ground. It also had a skeleton, but it didn't "dance" and was just holding an utensil.

From a distance, it looks like a pottery wine cup.

The old fox suddenly barked, and the cadence of the cry sounded familiar to Li Changan. After thinking about it, it seemed that it was somewhat similar to the rhythm of casting spells and reciting spells.

Following the cry of the old fox, the six surrounding foxes suddenly fell to the ground, stretched out their paws, lifted them up and bowed down again.

This is actually imitating human beings to kneel down and worship!

The old fox kept barking, and the six foxes continued to kneel down. Suddenly, the old fox let out a long, high-pitched cry, and raised the wine cup high above his head.

The watery moonlight actually dripped down from the moon and fell into the wine cup like water.

With every drop of moonlight, the moon becomes smaller and the moonlight diminishes by one point.

Finally, the shallow wine cup was filled, and the moon turned back to its original moon. The night wind brought in the clouds, and the moon was half hidden behind the clouds.

During the whole process just now, Li Changan next to him had been holding his breath and concentrating, and it was only now that he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

But immediately his expression became serious again.

The wind has changed!

The seven fox skull "masks" all turned in his direction.

Li Changan was a little shocked for a while, and then smiled. They were just a few uncivilized foxes, why were they so nervous?

He walked out from behind the thatch in an open manner.

Then, the six foxes barked for a while, found some sticks and bones from the ground, and rushed over like primitive people.

Eh? That’s it?

Li Changan didn't do anything cruel, he didn't even pull out the sword, he just held the scabbard and slapped it, no more, no less, exactly six times, and several foxes turned around and fell to the ground.

Is this the end? This result somewhat made Li Changan, who was waiting for battle, a little disappointed. However, he quickly cheered up, and there was another boss over there!

Seeing all the little foxes fall down, the white fox finally started to move. It took off the skull on its head, stood up on its own, put its legs on the ground, and walked slowly over like a human being.

step.

Two steps.

Li Changan narrowed his eyes.

Three steps.

Part Four.

Li Changan unsheathed his sword!

Five steps.

Six steps.

Li Changan had already considered which part to chop. But the old fox suddenly fell to the ground and put the wine cup on his head with two paws.

What does this mean? The legendary tiger pounce style?

Boss Wu laughed loudly, "This old fox is already scared!"

Li Changan remained silent. The white fur of the old fox in front of him began to tremble. What was the purpose of such a bunch of people climbing such a long mountain road in the middle of the night seriously?

He let out a long sigh and leaned over to take the wine cup.

The old fox jumped up quickly, and did not escape or attack. He just kept dancing, as if to express something.

Li Changan looked puzzled, but Boss Wu, maybe ghosts and foxes have a special fate, so he looked at it for a while and then translated.

"It should mean that I will dedicate this wine cup to you in exchange for sparing their lives."

"You can understand?"

"No, just guessing."

Looking at the fox, he turned over and exposed his belly to Li Changan. How the hell is this a vixen? He is clearly a dog!

He asked tentatively: "You want to use this to call me to spare you."
