Dream Cocoon (6)

Outside the noisy city, under the high snow-white cliffs, the waves calmed down.

They stopped beating the rocks, and there was only the sound of wind on the sea, which was weak and heavy. The wind stopped and rose, and it did not cause any ripples on the stagnant sea. The whole sea was like a large piece of dry blue.

The paint is applied stiffly on the earth.

Under the sea, not far from the cliff, there is a huge crystal ball like a magical landscape, enveloping a small world.

It was an almost round island. White sandy beaches surrounded the outermost edge of the island, framing colorful woods, blue lakes, and a strange palace like a picture frame.

It also has too colorful colors, too complicated decorations, and too mixed styles, but maybe because at least the materials are the same, it also looks like...a flowery beauty.

At least Nana likes it.

The entire palace is made of various kinds of shells. Those shells have not lost their brilliant colors when they are in the water, and even shine with colorful light in the skylight coming from the water. Nana is standing in the forest.

Going around and around the corridor pillars, flying up and down, poking left and right from time to time, the shells will open under her pointed claws, and some will spray thin water arrows towards them.

, some would spit out round pearls for it, and it would dodge quickly and sometimes use its tail to knock the pearls away like a ball. It was a great time.

When she gets tired of such games, she can fly to the wide courtyard and let every flower and tree fall under her touch, or she can use petals as teeth and play a round of "Look" with her.

"Who bites the fastest", or use the vines as a long rope for her to jump around.

Her chirping laughter came far and near, and never stopped.

Maya looked up from time to time, even though she knew there was no danger here.

She sat on the lawn by the lake. The grass growing on the ground here had round leaves and small yellow, white and purple flowers. It would not make people feel uncomfortable, nor would it stain her with grass juice.

on the body.

This is actually unreasonable, but Maya has no time to think about "common sense" at the moment. There seems to be no such thing as "common sense" in this world. After countless shocks, she has been able to deal with it calmly.

She was surrounded by various animals - all kinds of furry animals that she had never seen before, and some, like Nana, were covered with smooth and beautiful scales that looked like they were carved out of gemstones.

Their strange shapes were beyond her imagination, but... they were all so cute!!

They crowded around her and were so well-behaved that her heart turned to water. She touched this one and hugged that one, and kept busy with satisfaction.

Occasionally, she would think of her mission and her companions, but the tension and guilt that arose would soon dissipate under the fur that came close to her palm.

It doesn't matter, she thought.

Darriel would bring her companions here, just as he had brought her and Nana out of the chaos that still frightened her.

When she set out, she thought she was ready to deal with various situations. In addition to being excited and curious, she was also wary of "intelligent creatures in another world" - they didn't know what habits the other party had.

and civilization, I don’t know whether they will become enemies or friends.

But she still underestimated the dangers.

She didn't even remember how she was separated from her companions. The city that mixed all kinds of "weirdness" into weirdness left them stunned and overwhelmed. Even though she kept reminding herself repeatedly to concentrate and stay vigilant, she was still inevitably separated.

God.

She could only be thankful that she at least hugged Nana tightly when she realized something was wrong.

What happened then?

It seemed that when she found a house that looked like Stonebridge Castle, she couldn't help but get closer...and then a bloody mouth suddenly appeared on the ground and swallowed them in.

She would never forget that creepy feeling in her life - the winding tunnel that seemed to be elastic, the sticky and smelly liquid, the endless bumps in the darkness...

Nana, on the other hand, kept laughing all the time, as if this terrifying experience was just a fun game.

She fainted at some point, and when she woke up, she was already on the island. In addition to Nana, there was also a boy with blond hair and blue eyes, and a... skeleton that seemed to be modeled after a human.

The metal golem is a little crooked, and it's unclear whether it's originally like this or whether it has been damaged long ago.

Darriel, a boy who looks to be only about seven years old, claims to be the king of the original race in this world. However, most of this world has been occupied by outsiders, and he can only hide on this isolated island in the sea.

.

There were huge monsters in the sea - monsters more terrifying than the black worm with a name so strange that she couldn't even remember it, so outsiders never went into the sea.

The race to which Darriel belongs can survive in the sea.

There are even thin, pearl-colored scales on his cheeks. And, he looks a bit...a bit like Is.

A little Is.

Maya felt that this should be the reason why Nana seemed to like him so much.

But it doesn't rest on his shoulders or head - probably because he's not tall enough.

In short, it is safe here. And Darriel will let his people find a way to get her crew out of the city. Those guys in the city who can be regarded as pirates in the star sea may seem friendly, but they will find out their intentions.

After finding out the details, they will be killed or used as slaves. They may even deceive the entire crew of the Unicorn and take away everything from them.

She had used the sound transmission stone to send all this news to the Unicorn, warning them not to send anyone down again, and got a response. She also thought that she shouldn't stay here idle and petting various animals, she had to

To retrieve her crew...but Darriel's people are more familiar with that city than she is. If she joins forcefully, she might cause chaos.

So she stayed here with Nana.

Sometimes she would wonder if they could help this little king and drive away the pirates in return for his help to them; sometimes, for some extremely brief moments, broken thoughts would flash through her mind.

The doubts and uneasiness are like the gravel stirred up by swimming fish under the calm lake surface, but they will soon sink back to the bottom without any trace.

No matter what, Nana looks happy all the time, so there should be no problem...?

Her intuition is much sharper than hers.

Once again, she seemed to fall into a strange trance, but was soon awakened by Nana who ran into her arms.

"Hungry!"

The little dragon rolled in her arms and complained.

Maya couldn't laugh or cry.

"Who told you to play so crazy?" She touched her belly, "Aren't you tired?"

"I'm not tired!" Nana groaned, "I'm just hungry."

In fact, she had been hungry for a while. Darriel had been playing with her, but because she complained that she was hungry, he took his golem to get her food.

Maya thought the boy would bring some fish, maybe raw. But when Darriel came back, the golem following him was holding a small pile of... something like gems.

Maya mentioned one speechlessly. The yellow gem embedded in a round frame without decoration gave off a faint light, and it felt a little dying.

"Can I eat this?"

The boy asked, seeming a little uneasy.

Nana picked and picked, using her sharp little claws to easily tear open another black metal block, dig out one of the crystal-like balls and put it into her mouth, clicking as if chewing a fruit candy.

The boy laughed.

"Don't you want to eat?" He turned to Maya diligently, his light blue eyes like the most beautiful gems.

Maya could only smile and shake her head: "I'm not hungry."

She didn't have such good teeth, nor did she have such a good stomach. Although she seemed a little hungry... she didn't want to trouble the little boy to find another food for her.

There don't seem to be any attendants here...

"I hope we haven't caused you too much trouble," she said.

The boy shook his head.

"No," he said, "I'm very happy."

He looked at Nana, his bright eyes full of joy: "It would be great if you could stay here forever."

Here... there probably wasn't anyone to play with him.

Maya couldn't help but want to touch his soft blond hair, but she tried hard to resist - although he was small, he was still a king.

And the boy's eyes never moved away from Xiaolong for a moment.

He could feel the kindness of the woman in front of him towards him, but she wouldn't be able to stay with him for long...she would soon become a memory.

Only Nana can stay with him for a long, long time.
