Chapter 23: A Song of Ice and Fire(1/2)

Stepping into the church, all the hustle and bustle is blocked out.

Greer was about to turn on the light, but was stopped by Xi Ziyue: "Don't turn on the light, this light is just right, it's very atmospheric."

It is night now, with the bright moon hanging high in the sky, and the street lights and building lights outside the school, countless dim lights come into the church, like tens of thousands of light arrows shot by angels through the rose window.

From the four walls to the black and white floor tiles, from the empty seats to the altar, from the dome to the cross on the altar, every inch of space is covered with magnificent sacred images.

It was as quiet as a fairyland, with the holy spirit sleeping in the dim light.

Xi Ziyue stepped forward, her whole body melting into the kaleidoscope-like rainbow light, and walked along the carpet towards the altar.

Greer stood at the door, guarding Xi Ziyue to prevent anyone from rushing in and disturbing her.

In the darkness, Xi Ziyue took a deep breath, and every step she took seemed to be traveling through a time and space tunnel.

Around her, people came and went, the prayers in the church came and went like the tide, and the candles were lit and extinguished.

"Do dragon slayers also believe in God?" Xi Ziyue asked.

I think dragon-slaying heroes throughout the ages probably didn't believe in gods. In their eyes, gods and dragons were equated to a large extent. It was reasonable to pay homage to Odin, but praying to the cross was too nonsense.

"Of course I don't believe it. Even if they really believe in religion, they are just showing off with a cross. Maybe they can only memorize a few verses of the Bible." Greer said jokingly.

"But no matter how powerful the dragon slayer is, there will always be wounds in his heart. Do you know Principal Angers?" Greer asked.

"Yes, I heard that he is the greatest dragon slayer in the world today. He seems to be 135 years old this year." Xi Ziyue replied coldly.

"He will come here to sit here occasionally. If you are lucky, you might meet him... This place is like a bar. There are always a few people with stories who come to sit and sit.

Drinking wine while saying things that can only be said to strangers."

"Like psychotherapy?" Xi Ziyue asked.

"Yes, it's almost like psychological therapy. Our school does have a psychological counseling department, but the methods they use to provide psychological counseling are usually physics and chemistry. If you have something you want to forget, they will make you forget it every second."

"Is that why we need a place like a church for everyone to talk to each other?"

"Well, actually this church is not that mysterious. It only has two functions. One is that when the victim appears, students will mourn here, and some students will hold weddings here, and the students are all guests."

"Okay, I understand." Xi Ziyue nodded.

She did see funerals and weddings, with hymns and mournful music echoing repeatedly, as if two completely opposite worlds merged.

After a long profiling, her shoulders finally relaxed.

"What was the result?" Greer asked.

"No results. Lu Mingfei didn't leave enough traces here. He probably just stood on the steps at the door of the church. I mistakenly thought he had come in, or even if he came in, he didn't do anything special.

It's something." Xi Ziyue said, shaking her head.

In fact, if you think about it, you will understand. The reason why a Chinese person comes to the church is probably to be a foreigner, and after the novelty wears off, he doesn't bother to pay attention to this place.

That's what she did on Bride's Island.

"Do you have to have done something special before you can be profiled?" Greer asked.

"Only when you have done something special can you leave traces...or a special aura." Xi Ziyue said.

"Breathe? Why does it sound like a police dog?" Greer was surprised.

"It's hard for me to describe what this is. In short, it's best if he can do something, the more special the better."

All of her profiles so far have been related to major events.

For example, the parting and freedom carried in the original conch.

For example, the knight leader in the sarcophagus also experienced life and death.

Parting... is indeed a very special thing. There are only so many partings in a person's life. Each parting means the end of an unforgettable memory.

If it is not unforgettable, it cannot be said to be parting, at best it is called leaving.

Greer scratched his head in embarrassment: "For a teenage Kassel student, the special thing is nothing more than achieving a career on the dragon-slaying battlefield and returning home with a beautiful woman...

By the way, does it count to do strange things in your own dormitory?"

Xi Ziyue squinted at the other person with a very sad expression.

"Well, just kidding, there are so many rooms in the boys' dormitory. If you search door to door, I'm sure you will profile a lot of things you shouldn't see." Greer's upright smile contained no trace of emotion.

Generous without shying away from taboos.

Maybe, this is the true portrayal of Kassel. Every female student is a gangster or a tomboy, and the Bride Island-style Xiaojiabiyu has no connection with this place.

Greer patted Xi Ziyue on the shoulder: "Let's go. The madmen outside are almost finished. The gunshots are getting less and less. Let's go have a midnight snack and then take you around. There will be more things tomorrow.

If you want to do it, come here today."

The word "late night snack" pierced Xi Ziyue's heart, and even made her feel a little excited.

Of course, there is no such thing as late-night snacks in the Emei-style environment of Bride Island. When you are hungry, you can only go to the refrigerator to find cocktails or prepare your own snacks.

It is guarded by life teachers at the level of the exterminator.

And now, I can finally eat late-night snacks openly. This is campus life!

Suddenly, noise came from the church's broadcast, and the sound of electricity broke the tranquility——

"Zero, how many people are left on your side?" A childish and arrogant voice sounded, like a young lion talking.

This is Charlotte's voice.

She was probably speaking in a control room or something, and her voice was broadcast throughout the school through the radio.

"I'm the only one left." Another response came from the radio, it was still a female voice, cold and beautiful, forming a contrast between ice and fire with Charlotte.

Charlotte said: "Unfortunately, I am the only one left here. It seems that there is destined to be a one-on-one battle between you and me. In Go terms, this is called the official's game has reached its end.

There is only one final single piece of calamity left that determines the outcome."

"I have no objection." The other party responded briefly, without any intention of using Cassel's rhetoric.

The two of them started chatting through the school radio screen, and everyone who was still awake could hear their conversation.

Needless to say, Greer probably knew that Xi Ziyue knew that since one of them was the president of the Lion Heart Club, the other one was naturally the president of the student union... the girl named Zero.

"I have already taken my position and arrived at what I think is the best stage for the final battle. Do you need me to report my position to you?" Charlotte said.

"I also came to what I think is the best place for a duel. Maybe we chose the same location."

"Really? Then let's see if the tacit understanding between us is like the tacit understanding between the Lion Heart Club and the Student Union last time." Charlotte laughed maturely and licked her lips, looking very experienced and capable.

"I can understand the habit of licking your lips before going to war, but can you lower your voice? It's weird." Zero said.

"Get out, get out!" As if a little secret had been exposed, Charlotte suddenly became furious, and the little leader persona she had just established collapsed instantly.

this.......

Xi Ziyue probably understood what Greer meant by the school pet.

It's probably the kind of person who fails to show off all day long, but ends up getting slapped in the face.

"Start the countdown, 5--4--" Charlotte started to sing.

"3——2——" On the other side, Zero is also counting down, and their voices are precisely synchronized.

Greer seemed to realize something: "Get down quickly!"

Xi Ziyue had already cleverly laid down and hid behind the chair.

Small animals often have a stronger sense of crisis than large carnivores.

"0!"

When the countdown reached zero, the rose windows on both sides of the church suddenly shattered, and a solemn atmosphere instantly enveloped the church!

Two black images swept into the church from outside the broken rose like hanging ropes, as if the God of Death had broken through the door of heaven!

Two female heroes both appear!

"Sure enough, the venue for the final battle between these two people is set in the church! Damn it, John Woo didn't lie, the fight in the church is indeed very interesting!" Greer shouted.

In the dim light of the church, two machine guns fired at each other across the rows of seats. They pushed forward from the back of the church, like a parallel line cutting across them!

In just a few seconds, the coquettish red flowers had bloomed all over the entire church. The red mist was like blood, and the blood was like tide. The bullets of the two men were exhausted almost at the same time, making a clicking sound.

They resolutely gave up their hot weapons, threw away the machine guns, pulled out the cold weapons from their waists, and jumped onto the altar together.

Silver lights intersect! Sparks flash out!

On the altar, two strong sword winds blew away the debris and waved silver arcs in the air. The sparks they produced were like butterflies that could not fly, extinguishing and lighting up again.

Every sound of weapons clashing has two completely different tones, vigorous and light, like an ancient bell colliding with a silver bell.

If it were on the flat ground during the day, no one would be able to clearly see the offensive and defensive movements of these two men, but in the dark night, the cold light and sparks curling on the blade perfectly outlined the outline of the storm.

As a general battle, the commanders of both sides put on red cloaks and blue cloaks that symbolized the glory of their respective societies.

The only shortcoming is that neither party's body shape can support the overly fashionable attire, and the slender cloak looks like a quilt wrapped around the two of them.

A retreat! The two people's positions were pulled apart urgently!

Charlotte, who was wearing a black combat uniform, tore off the cloak behind her and threw it at the opponent like a visual weapon.
