Chapter Thirty-One Long Time No See

Yi Shu came out of Wen Linhan's office, flipping through information in his hands.

Suddenly she heard someone call her from behind, "Wan Wan."

She froze on the spot and stopped flipping through the information.

Calling her a pet name so tenderly, only that person can be remembered.

She didn't dare to turn around, only to hear another voice coming from behind.

She took a deep breath, turned around slowly, and a familiar face came into view.

The man was dressed in a formal suit, his brows and eyes had faded away, and he showed stability everywhere.

He no longer looked like the young man in school uniform she remembered, as if he was a world away.

The man took a step forward and raised the corners of his mouth: "Wan Wan, long time no see."

Yi Shu came to his senses and took a step back.

She corrected: "Please call me Yishu, thank you."

As soon as he finished speaking, the man's smile froze and he smiled unnaturally: "Are you free after get off work?"

"I am very busy."

"Then tomorrow."

"I'll be busy tomorrow too."

Yishu closed the documents in his hands, turned around and planned to leave.

But his arm was suddenly pulled by the person behind him: "Wan Wan."

There was reluctance and helplessness in his tone.

She struggled to free her arm, but he held her tighter.

She sighed helplessly, raised her head and looked at him, her tone calm: "Gu Qishan, please let go. And don't call me Wanwan."

The patients passing by gave the two strange looks.

Feeling that the strength of his grip on her was decreasing, Yishu quickly pulled her arm out of his hand and turned around to leave.

Her steps were so hurried that she didn't even notice it.

In a panic, she ran back to the office to put down the materials, and then went to the dressing room to change clothes.

As soon as I closed the cabinet, I felt weak under my feet for some reason, so I squatted down along the cabinet.

The things she didn't want to think about flooded into her mind like a flood.

Qin Linlin opened the door and saw Yi Shu squatting on the ground with his forehead pressed against the cabinet, feeling extremely sad.

She ran over and hugged Yi Shu: "Baby, I heard that you were entangled by a man. Did he hurt you? How are you?"

Yi Shu wanted to stand up, but then he realized that his feet were numb.

She stood up with Qin Linlin's strength, stepped back and sat on the stool, and then realized that Qin Linlin had tears on her face.

Yi Shu wiped away the tears from the corners of Qin Linlin's eyes: "I'm fine, why are you still crying?"

Qin Linlin sat next to her, pinched her legs, and sobbed: "We have said that we should share blessings and hardships together, and tears will naturally flow together. I thought you were crying."

When Yishu heard the words, the sadness and depression in his heart slowly dissipated, and warmth arose.

She raised her lips slightly and hugged Qin Linlin back: "I didn't cry, and my Linlin didn't cry anymore."

Qin Linlin hugged Yi Shu tightly and asked her what happened.

It was nearly half past ten when the two of them walked out of the hospital.

They were walking side by side on the street, and then Yi Shu spoke slowly.

"Linlin, I remember you asked me before if I had anyone I liked."

Qin Linlin nodded: "So the person who pestered you today is the person you like?"

"Yes, I am someone I like very much when I am young."

Her voice was very soft.

Although the sun is shining brightly during the day in November in Nanyu, the temperature is very low at night.

A cold wind blew in his face, and Yi Shu stuffed his hands into Qin Linlin's pockets.

My eyes fell on the shadow under the street lamp, and my thoughts flew back to my high school days.

She and Gu Qishan were in the same high school.

The two of them were in the same science experimental class, and the first grade in each exam rotated between them.

She had no social contact with Gu Qishan, but they were just ordinary classmates and competitors.

Until the first semester of high school.

At that time, there was a girl named Lei Shan in the class. She was abandoned by her parents when she was born and grew up in an orphanage. She had a weird temper.

Few people in the class talked to her and avoided her.

Only Yi Shu is willing to treat her as a classmate and sit at the same table with her.

But because of this, some classmates in the class began to distance themselves from Yi Shu.

On Yi Shu's birthday that year, Lei Shan gave her a stuffed toy as a gift.

She happily brought the gift home but was scolded by Bai Liumei, and the gift was eventually thrown away by her mother.

Later Leishan learned that the gift was thrown away and mistakenly thought that she looked down on him.
