Chapter seven hundred and thirtieth such a market

Did domestic TV stations in the 1980s have any customs to buy TV series?

have.

But the ones bought were all bargain.

Of course, the domestic economic situation at this time was like that. If you don’t have money, it would be useless to say anything. No matter how good the TV series is, it will be expensive. Domestic TV stations will definitely not buy it and cannot afford it.

If you want to sell, you can make more or less profit, then the seller can only sell at a lower price.

At this time, many imported Hong Kong dramas have been broadcasted in China, including ATV's, but the price is really similar to free gifts.

It is far from the price of buying dramas in later generations that are often tens of millions or hundreds of millions of dollars.

Before Qiao Feng traveled through time, the total number of TV series filmed in China in one year reached 15,000 to more than 20,000 episodes.

At that time, how many TV series were broadcast on TV? It was only about 10,000 episodes. In other words, there were no TV series with more than 5,000 to 10,000 episodes, and they could only eat dust in the warehouse.

For producers, the risk of filming is extremely high, and if you are not careful, it will be a huge loss.

But why are there so much capital that has been continuously entering the production field of TV series?

Of course it is because of interests.

At that time, the size of the TV series market was at least 10 billion yuan each year. And with the rise of online platforms, this cake was still increasing rapidly year by year.

The prices of highly anticipated dramas have also risen rapidly, even reaching new highs. For those with high prices, ordinary people can get into trouble after seeing heart disease.

But although the demand for TV series production is oversupply compared to TV stations’ broadcasting demand, and is far oversupply, TV stations’ demand for TV series is still enthusiastic.

Because, after all, the number of playback episodes is there. Although there are more TV series filmed, there are not many really good ones.

This is naturally one of the reasons why those popular TV series can sell for hundreds of thousands or millions, millions or even higher.

But that was thirty years later.

Thirty years ago, domestic TV stations have very little demand for TV series.

I won’t talk about CCTV’s national nature. No matter who produces the TV series, you don’t want to sell it at a high price.

Although CCTV is rich, it is the leader of the industry and it is forced to do so. No matter now or in the future, it is impossible to buy dramas at a high price. Who can make people have a strong channel? No matter where it is, if they can receive a TV signal, there must be CCTV.

Therefore, you don’t need to worry about the ratings, why should you buy a good show at a high price?

Only provincial TV stations can buy dramas at high prices in China.

For example, the county-level TV stations below have fewer audiences and insufficient attention, so they naturally don’t make much money to buy dramas because they naturally don’t make much money.

Generally speaking, satellite TV stations can buy a TV series for more than 100,000 or even hundreds of thousands of yuan, while local TV stations offer 50,000 yuan per episode, which is already very high. TV series sold to local TV stations generally cost 10,000 or 20,000 yuan per episode, and many others are worth thousands of yuan per episode.

This is still thirty years. Nowadays, county and municipal TV stations don’t have to think about it. Most county and municipal TV stations do not have their own TV stations at all.

And even if there is, I won’t spend money to buy TV series.

As for Qiao Feng’s understanding of TV stations at all levels in China at this time, such as county and municipal TV stations {if any}, the source of the TV series they played was basically applied from the previous department.

At this time, I had no copyright awareness compared to thirty years later.

After the provincial satellite TV station plays a TV series, they may directly hand over the tape to the next local station to broadcast, and then go to the next level to broadcast.

Pay money to buy?

There was no such concept at all at this time.

Everyone belongs to the country. What are yours and mine? Yours is mine. At most you will broadcast it first, and then I will broadcast it again.

Therefore, there is no need to think about CCTV and county-level TV stations.

If you can sell money, you can only find provincial satellite TV stations.

However, in the 1980s, provincial satellite TV's demand for TV series was far less than that of CCTV.

CCTV has little demand for TV series, while provincial TV stations have even less demand for TV series.

There is no way, this is the current situation of domestic TV stations.

Who made the domestic economy worse and the development of entertainment lag even further?

The first domestic TV station, which is now CCTV, was established on May 1, 1958. At that time, its name was not CCTV, but Peking TV.

That’s right, it’s Peking TV, which is the predecessor of CCTV.

And this year, 67 countries in the world have started broadcasting TV stations.

In other words, the time to establish a TV station in China can only rank 68 among so many countries in the world.

On June 15 of the same year, Yiji Cookie, the first TV series in mainland China, was launched.

Peking TV was broadcast live in the studio with black and white TV. At that time, only a few hundred people watched or could watch this TV series, because at that time, there were only a few hundred TV sets nationwide.

In the next eight years, Peking TV broadcast a total of 90 TV series; from a national perspective, in the past eight years, a total of about 200 live TV series were produced.

In eight years, about two hundred units.

The number of episodes of this series is not as high as the number of episodes produced by two TV stations in Hong Kong in a small place.

One city to one country.

Such a huge difference.

It was not until 1973 that Peking TV began to test color TV. Due to political reasons, only two dramas, "The Daughter of a Senior Commune Party Official" and "The Holy Duty" were broadcasted nationwide in those years.

It was not until 1978 that the domestic television industry began to recover. In the same year, Peking TV was officially renamed CCTV.

This is just the history of domestic TV series.

As for TV series, it was eighteen years later that the enemy camp was created until 18 years later.

The director of this TV series is the old man Wang Fulin. This TV series has 9 episodes in total, with only about 2,000 shots and more than 100 scenes.

This is still the case with CCTV. If it comes to provincial satellite TV, it would be even worse.

As for Hedong Guards, which was considered to be a very early start, the equipment of the TV station when it was first built, except for an industrial camera produced in Czechoslovakia and a 50-watt transmitter equipped with itself, there was only a black and white TV monitor.

The programs broadcast mainly include movies and pictures, and are only broadcast twice a month, each time for about 2 hours.

It was twice a month, two hours a day, which was the earliest provincial television station to be established back then.

It can be said that at that time, provincial satellite TV stations basically had no time to broadcast TV series.

And now in 1989, there is not much time left for TV series.

Not to mention now, in Qiao Feng's memory, even in the 999s, the original time and space were not much time for ordinary people to watch TV.

How many are there?

Very few.
