Chapter 6: Moaning under the Moon

Lin Hai thought that when he woke up the next day, his muscles would feel a tingling sensation. After all, he had exhausted too much energy in the West Lake yesterday.

But who would have thought that when Lin Hai opened his eyes this morning, he felt that there was endless energy in his body, and his limbs and muscles had not changed much. However, Lin Hai had the illusion that he could kill a cow with one punch.

Lin Hai got out of bed and tried to walk a few steps. He felt that his body was as light as a swallow and his steps were light. He immediately thought of the black impurities that leaked out of the body while running in the West Lake yesterday. At the same time, he also sensed the wisp of Qi in his Dantian.

Much weaker than yesterday.

Is this what spiritual practice is? It’s so wonderful!

During breakfast, Lin Hai had a huge appetite and cleared all kinds of food on the long table. His appetite reached a new high in the Lin Mansion.

"If I knew that the young master has such a good appetite, I would be very happy."

Xiao An was cleaning up the empty dishes and was a little frightened by Lin Hai's appetite, but now people generally think that eating is a blessing, so he didn't worry about him eating too much.

"Then help me serve another bowl of porridge and scoop out the dry ones."

After eating a sumptuous breakfast, Lin Hai came to Shang Yunfo's Kinmen Martial Arts School in a happy mood. Of course, he didn't come empty-handed to meet this skinny old master, and he was presented with several bags of fine tea.

Shang Yunfo was happy to see his apprentice being so enlightened and sensible. He knew that Lin Hai had benefited from the qi in his dantian without having to touch him.

"How many laps did you run around the lake yesterday?"

"Nine circles!"

Although he is still far away from the goal of thirty laps, Lin Hai is already quite proud, because these nine laps really squeezed out the last of his strength and will.

Shang Yunfo put down the teapot, nodded, and said with a smile:

"The first time is considered good. By the time you can run thirty laps around the lake in one breath, your physical fitness will have basically been pushed to the limit of a mortal. Only then will you be considered ready for practice."

Although Lin Hai was excited, he also had some doubts. If cultivation is so easy, wouldn't everyone in the world be able to practice? Just running is fine, so who can't practice?

Facing the young apprentice's questions, Shang Yunfo smiled:

"Without the wisp of innate qi that I planted in your Dantian, you would have never even thought of getting started even if you ran to death in West Lake. Moreover, the wisp of qi will be used up after at most four or five days of helping you. By then you will

You have to stand step by step to condense your Qi and blood, otherwise you think you can just run every day?"

It turns out that the wisp of qi that Shang Yun Buddha planted in Lin Hai Dantian is so precious. Given Shang Yun Buddha's ability, he can only plant it once a year. Any more will shorten his lifespan, and once the qi is exhausted, he will not be able to plant it again.

There is no use in running anymore. I can only concentrate my energy and blood step by step like ordinary warriors.

"You're already here, come here and I'll teach you how to stand in a dragon-tiger position. My hometown has been busy during this period, so I'm afraid I'll have to go back. I'll teach you how to stand in advance to save you from not being able to find me."

Shang Yunfo took the rare opportunity to put down the teapot and began to teach Lin Hai the key points of Zhanzhuang. The Dragon and Tiger Zhan only had three simple movements, but there were many key points inside. After Shang Yunfo finished teaching them all, the whole morning was almost over.

When the old man saw that Lin Hai had almost entered the dragon-tiger pillar, he stopped to explain. Many things like practicing martial arts are learned by oneself. Sometimes it is not good to talk too much.

"Come here again when your Dantian Qi is exhausted. I have something else to teach you."

Seeing that it was almost noon, Shang Yunfo knew that Lin Hai was in the critical period of Qi machine training. Not only the power of Qi and blood increased by leaps and bounds, but also his appetite, so he started to chase people out when it was almost time for dinner.

Lin Hai didn't take it seriously and just put forward an idea in his mind:

"Master Shang, if this innate talent stays in my Dantian to help me practice, will it be harmful?"

Shang Yunfo turned around in surprise after hearing this, and said with a half-smile:

"Of course you can do it if you have the ability, but this method can only take you to the seventh level of acquired life at most, because the last two levels have little to do with qi and blood. They need to strengthen the bones and marrow."

After bidding farewell to Master Shang, Lin Hai left the Kinmen Martial Arts School with excitement and said to Xiao An beside him:

"Go, make a notice, and ask the innate masters to come over and plant Qi for me. I will give you five thousand taels of silver for every person who plants Qi once!"

Of course, innate wisdom will not remain in the body for a long time, but there must be more than one innate master, Shang Yunfo, right? Such a person has to rely on taking apprentices to support himself in his old age, let alone other innate masters?

But to Lin Hai's expectation, the five thousand silver reward did not arouse the interest of the innate master. Seeing that the energy in his Dantian was getting less and less, Lin Hai gritted his teeth and raised the silver reward to eight thousand, but the news remained the same.

Silently, there was no response at all.

It was another day and night, and Lin Hai, whose hands and feet had become more agile and stronger, was no longer satisfied with sitting in the carriage. Instead, he lay on his back on the roof of the carriage and blew in the wind.

"Xiao An, do you think they think the reward is too small? Should I mention it to the higher authorities?"

Xiao An didn't look back and said with great certainty:

"I don't know if they think it's too little. I just know that if you raise the price, Master, I'll definitely give you a beating when I come back."

Now the wisp of Qi in Lin Hai's body is very weak, and it will dissipate after a day of support at most. By then, Lin Hai's cultivation speed will become the same as that of ordinary people. He is already eighteen this year, and he cannot waste all his cultivation time.

In the realm of the two heavens of mortals, the road to immortality is long, and Lin Hai should race against time!

Lin Hai, who had made up his mind, suddenly stood up from the roof of the carriage and shook his fist fiercely at the air:

"Xiao An, if you increase the reward to fifteen thousand taels tomorrow, I won't believe it. You can't make a fool of yourself if you have money!"

Xiao An sighed helplessly when he heard this, and replied feebly "Yes."

Back at the mansion, the servants were setting up lanterns and streamers everywhere. Lin Hai thought it was some kind of festival, but it wasn't until Xiao An reminded him that he realized that today was his birthday.

Looking at the countless servants around him who were beaming with congratulations to him, Lin Hai was quite moved for a moment.

This feeling lasted until Xiao An, who was next to him, couldn't stand it any longer. He pulled Lin Hai and whispered a "red envelope", and then the latter reacted.

The co-authors didn’t really congratulate me, they came over to ask for red envelopes!

Anyway, this was Lin Hai's first birthday in Daqian China, so he let it go and got drunk.

After his practice, his appetite for food increased greatly, and his capacity for drinking also increased. He caused a group of servants who came to toast him to drink, and the wine jars were all over the floor.

Lin Hai took a look at the middle hall where corpses were everywhere, walked to the courtyard and looked up at the moon. He recalled the past and the unknown future after practicing. He couldn't help but sigh with emotion and chanted:

“I mourn the brief moment of my life, and envy the infiniteness of the Yangtze River;

Carrying the flying immortals to travel, holding the bright moon to the end;
Chapter completed!
