Chapter 1 Night(2/2)
“Trier, covered with gold,
“A dance that lasted until dawn;
"The fat and oily roast chicken,
“Like a castle cake;
“Waiters wearing bow ties shuttled among the guests,
"Stepping on joyful dance steps.
"Among them, my beloved,
"It's among them.
"This is the city of joy, this is eternal Trier!"
This voice... Janna raised her head in the shadows, looked at the Golden Rooster Hotel, and saw Lumian wearing a brown thick jacket sitting on the third floor window sill, holding a glass bottle filled with green liquid in his hand.
Didn't he go to the "Aurora Society" and never come back? Jian Na frowned slightly and left the shadows.
Lumian also saw her, smiled, jumped down from the third floor, and landed firmly in front of her.
"Why are you here?" Jenna asked with concern.
Lumian smiled nonchalantly and said:
"I suddenly thought about this place. Come back and have some drinks."
Sensing a strange excitement in Lumian, Jenna asked after careful consideration:
"What happened?"
"No." Lumian denied without hesitation and emphasized again, "I'm fine."
He carried the bottle of absinthe and walked towards the exit of Chaos Street. Jenna followed him quietly without asking any more questions.
Under the glow of the crimson moonlight and scattered gas street lights, Lumian, who had been silent for a while, suddenly smiled and declared:
"I'm going to start blaspheming.
"No, it's already started."
He didn't turn around and kept walking forward.
"Aren't you always blaspheming?" Jenna carefully tested Lumian's usual self-deprecation.
Lumian still looked at the darkness ahead and answered with an obvious smile:
"This time is different."
He quickened his pace and did not mention the matter again.
Jenna looked at Lumian's leather boots, which were stained with a lot of mud, and then looked at the surrounding environment, which was dirty but not muddy. She pursed her lips and did not ask further questions.
Lumian continued walking, sometimes humming a few words, sometimes chatting and joking with Jenna, always with a clear smile on his face.
He walked all the way back to the rented apartment and entered his room.
Jenna stopped quietly in the living room and watched Lumian close the wooden door of the bedroom.
In the dark room with only a little crimson moonlight shining in, Lumian sat down at the desk, spread out the letter paper, and picked up the pen.
He did not light the gas wall lamp, nor create a ball of blazing white fire. Surrounded by darkness, he dropped the pen with the faint light.
Amidst the rustling sound of the pen tip rubbing against the paper, the smile on Lumian's face quickly disappeared, and his hand moved slower and slower.
Finally, he wrote the unusually short letter:
"Dear Ms. Magician:
"I want to see you."
PS: Please tell me which characters need to be added to the character list. I’m afraid I’ll miss some, so I’ll do it together tonight.
