Chapter Eleven, The First Defense Against the Dark Arts Lesson

September 2, 1991, is a Monday.

Today, Dracula also has his first lesson as the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts.

Nine o'clock in the morning is the time when the first class starts at Hogwarts. Under the influence of magic, the bell on the tower rings on time throughout the campus.

Dracula also opened the side door of the office at the moment the bell rang, and walked down the marble steps in front of the right side of the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.

Half of the students under the podium were wearing school robes with red collars, and more than half were wearing school robes with yellow collars. It was obvious that they were young wizards from Gryffindor and Hufflepuff.

At this time, they were sitting neatly on their seats, looking at the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor with keen interest.

The young wizards in both the Lion Academy and the Badger Academy were secretly guessing whether this professor with an extremely outstanding appearance and temperament would have extraordinary teaching abilities as his appearance, or whether he would be just an appearance, like

Are the previous professors just as bad?

"Good morning, everyone." Dracula briefly greeted the students.

He stood still on the podium, raised his eyes and scanned the circle of young wizards in the audience, and found two familiar figures among them, the Weasley twins from Gryffindor.

"Good morning, professor!" the students in the audience said in unison.

Dracula nodded and then said:

"After yesterday's banquet, I think everyone should already know that I am your new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. You can call me Professor Dracula."

"I hope you can make me happy in the next time... No, I mean, I hope everyone has a happy time."

Dracula, who almost told the truth, did not change his expression and immediately switched to the main topic, "Okay, without further ado, let's start the first class of this semester. What we are going to talk about today is..."

Having said this, he glanced at his empty hands and the smooth desk with only a pointer on it, and paused for a moment.

Dracula discovered that the textbook "Dark Magic: A Guide to Self-Defense" that he had chosen in accordance with the usual practice because he was lazy and save time, as well as the thick lesson plan that his teaching assistant Quilo had worked so hard to write, were all left on the desk in his office.

.

In other words, he came to teach the students empty-handed...

Even though the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's office is very close to the classroom, and even though Dracula can make textbooks fly over with a snap of his fingers, doing so would seem to be too unprofessional for the new professor.

He didn't allow this to happen in his first class!

So Dracula smiled calmly and changed his words: "...the content is a test of spell casting ability!"

Looking at the blank faces of the little wizards, he showed a malicious smile.

"All of you, use your best spells on me one after another." Dracula said, "You are already third-year students. Let me see what you have learned in the past two years at Hogwarts.

What!"

Without waiting for the students to react, he walked straight off the stage and came to a young wizard sitting in the first row.

"Let's start with you, Mr. Hufflepuff." He said to the little wizard with a yellow collar.

Looking at the young man in front of him, whose face was still a little immature but already looked very handsome, Dracula showed a hint of admiration in his eyes, feeling that he had the temperament of a vampire aristocrat.

"Professor Dracula, isn't this appropriate?" The Hufflepuff boy hesitated.

"There is no need to be timid in class." Dracula raised his lips and asked provocatively, "How can you become an outstanding wizard if you don't even have the courage to attack the professor?"

After hearing these words, the young man nodded seriously, "I understand, Professor."

He gritted his teeth and raised his wand to Dracula——

"Stupefy!"

Dracula smiled, raised his hand slightly, and received the coma spell with his palm.

If you observe carefully, you can see that when the magic spell hits Dracula's palm, it is like running water colliding with a rock. The magic attached to it cuts open on the skin, then flows away, and finally dissipates in the air.

It didn't cause him any harm.

The little wizards in the classroom all opened their mouths and looked at this scene in disbelief.

"You can cast spells neatly and neatly, which is pretty good for your age." Not paying attention to the shock of the young wizards, Dracula nodded with satisfaction and asked, "What's your name?"

"Digory, Professor. My name is Cedric Diggory." said the Hufflepuff boy.

"Okay, nice stun spell, Mr. Diggory." Dracula praised, "Let me think about what rewards the professor should give to students... By the way, five points for Hufflepuff!"

Dracula was very satisfied with Cedric's spellcasting.

The first student tested had such a level of spellcasting, which gave him some recognition of the teaching level of Hogwarts. At least it lived up to the high expectations of his four best friends a thousand years ago.

Next, Dracula began to test the spellcasting abilities of other students with great anticipation to see what surprises they could bring to him.

However, the students indeed brought many "surprises".

The more he tested, the darker his face turned.

It wasn't until he tested a Hufflepuff student who couldn't cast any spells that Dracula finally couldn't bear it anymore.

"What did you do in the two years you spent at Hogwarts? Huh? Did you just learn to eat?!" He said coldly. The cloak behind him automatically moved without wind, and the entire Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom was filled with a hint of terror.

Atmosphere.

The little wizards were so frightened that they froze in place and did not dare to move. Some of the timid ones even cried out of fear.

"Forget it, I'm too lazy to waste time like this anymore." Dracula impatiently pointed at all the little wizards in the audience, "All of you, cast your best magic spells on me!"

"The one with the most powerful spell has no homework. The five people with the least powerful spell have double their homework and they come to my office for solitary confinement at night!"

Hearing Dracula's words, Cedric stood up in shock.

"Professor, don't be impulsive! It's easy for the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor to get into trouble!"

"I'm not impulsive, I'm just too lazy to waste time." Dracula said indifferently, "The power of your spells is not even scraping for me."

For a moment, the little wizards were stunned by his conceited words.

Fred and George were the only ones sitting together in the classroom, winking at each other.

The twins were so happy. Is this year so exciting? Is the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor going to be sent away in the first class of the semester?

Doesn't that mean they made twenty gold galleons in vain?!
