Chapter 9 [The Language of God]

As Nicole walked into the small building, there were several sets of tables and chairs on the first floor, with some utensils that Roddy could not use for, as well as small jars, bottles and other things. There were several rows of iron racks by the wall, and there were neat and dense books on them. Roddy could see at a glance that those books were all for quite some time, and a few sets of them were basically the antique-level pampered scrolls!

These books alone are worth a lot of money!

What makes people even more creepy is that there is a complete human skeleton in the corner of the wall. The thick white bones emit a faint and shiny light in the dark room. Roddy couldn't help but walk over. What surprised Roddy was that the bone's head was actually marked with red strokes to make some marks that didn't understand what it meant.

Roddy couldn't help but want to touch the skeleton with her hands, but her eyes were attracted by the row of medicine bottles on an iron rack next to her.

The bottles were obviously made of silver, with small labels on them - but unfortunately, Roddy couldn't understand the words on the label - that was not a common word in the Empire.

"Don't hold those bottles!" A cold voice from behind suddenly came from behind.

Roddy immediately withdrew his hand that had reached out to touch the bottles.

Nicole glanced at Roddy. Although her face was still cold, her tone seemed a little softer: "Some things in the bottle cannot be touched. For example, if you accidentally spill a little bit of it, as long as you touch a little bit on your hands, you will be done! Your whole arm will immediately corrode into bones!"

Roddy was startled: "Are these... these all poisons?"

Nicole glared at him: "No! It's just some experimental materials!"

Roddy opened her mouth and wanted to say something, but Nicole stopped giving him a chance to ask questions and shouted: "Come with me! Hurry up!"

Nicole turned around and walked up a staircase, and Roddy quickly followed behind.

The second floor is an empty platform, and you can see the hall on the first floor from the railing. The second floor has a lot more than the first floor. On an old desk that has lost its true nature, there is a strange instrument. The bookshelf by the wall is larger, and the books are almost three times that of the first floor. Roddy has never seen so many antique books in his life!!! There is also a bulky iron cabinet in the corner of the wall. The rust on it shows that the iron cabinet is probably older than the ages of Roddy and Nicole.

There was a large wooden table in the middle - to be precise, a large platform, and the things on it were even more scattered, with some bottles and jars placed there in a scattered manner, and some even fell on the table.

Roddy walked up and found a few pieces of worn parchment on the table, with messy handwriting showing that it might be something like experiment notes.

Suddenly, a line of handwriting on a piece of parchment attracted Roddy.

"Lack of high-pressure vessels...failed...In the XXX year of the Empire, Dandong..."

"Dandong!!!!" Roddy couldn't help but exclaim: "Oh my God!! This thing is the notes left by the wise man Dandong!!! Oh my God!!!"

Nicole glanced at Roddy and said lightly, "What's the fuss about it?"

"Fuss?" Roddy exclaimed: "Dandong's notes! Do you know how much a handwritten autograph from Dandong can be sold in the antique market in the imperial capital now!!"

Nicole curled her lips: "What's this! Everything here is left by Dandong's sage! What is placed on that bookshelf are Dandong's test notes, and these instruments are all relics of Dandong's idlers! This is originally the laboratory of Dandong's savage."

The laboratory of the great sage?!

Roddy's eyes widened and her mouth widened.

"But... Dandong... his... lab... how could it be... in your home... here..."

Nicole said lightly: "Because one of my ancestors was a disciple of Dandong, Master Dandong lived in our home in his later years. This is where he works!"

"Then... these things... are the remains of the wisdom of Master Dandong!!" Roddy exclaimed excitedly. The Dandong Sage was one of the idols he worshiped since he was a child. In fact, without Dandong's reforms back then, civilians like him would not have had the chance to enter the Imperial Academy. In the empire, even a ten-year-old child knew how many miracles Master Dandong had created for the empire back then!

"It's true! Everything here is the ruins of the master's wisdom! All of these were inherited by the ancestor of our family!" Nicole's tone was a bit sad: "But this is also the tragedy of our family! Because for a hundred years, no ancestor can truly obtain this treasure of wisdom! There are three ancestors in my family who studied the notes of the master here in their later years and died of exhaustion. My father also died of illness in this laboratory that year!"

"Why? Is Dandong's wisdom so difficult to learn? So profound?"

Nicole chuckled softly, with a bit of weirdness and a bit of desolation in her smile.

"I don't know! We don't know what Dandong's wisdom is - because no one can understand those really important notes! The language in which Dandong records the most important wisdom notes is not the common words of our empire, nor any language in the mainland - not even any language we know!" Nicole's tone was full of mockery: "Sometimes, we even suspect that the language used by Dandong is the language of the real god! My ancestors of all generations have read through various classics, but they cannot decipher this language!"

"God's... language?" Roddy said in surprise: "Is there really a god in this world?"

Unexpectedly, Nicole did not stare at Roddy and was angry, but snorted angrily: "Only the old genius knows!" Because generations of the family worked hard for the ghostly "God's Language" but were futile, it took the life and time of several generations of the family - in fact, this has become a heavy burden for the Tulip family! So Nicole seems to be less respectful to God.

Roddy was amazed and couldn't help but stretch out his hand and gently stroke the ancient sheepskin file on the table, saying carefully: "Can I take a look?"

Nicole shrugged: "Whatever, the table here is a replica, which I used to study on weekdays. All the authentic ones have been hidden."

Roddy immediately reached out and grabbed the pampering paper and expanded it.

Sure enough, except for the lines of text Roddy just saw on the first page, the first page was recorded in the general text of the Empire. When you open it behind, you can no longer see a general text of the Empire. The back of the sheepskin is densely covered with some words that Roddy can't understand. The composition of that kind of text is very complicated, and each stroke is like a knife carving, the structure of the text is very subtle, one by one, one like a square, and each text looks like a special pattern. This is indeed not any text that Roddy knows!

Although there are occasionally some strange patterns and pictures - those pictures look like some kind of design drawing, unfortunately, the annotations next to them are all "God's language" that is incomprehensible.

Nicole ignored Roddy, who was frowning and frowned at the sheepskin, turned around and walked to the iron cabinet in the corner of the wall. She didn't know what spell she recited, and the iron cabinet slowly opened. Roddy immediately turned her eyes away - in fact, although he was a warrior, he was quite interested in magic, and he knew that what Ni could use was a spell lock, a magic that was mutated from magic, and it was transformed by a kind of memory magic, so that the cabinet could automatically remember the human voice, and then the cabinet could open only when the sound matched - this magic was created by the great sage Master Dandong more than two hundred years ago.

Nicole blocked Roddy's gaze. She took out a long and narrow box from the cabinet, and then the iron cabinet door slowly closed.

Nicole touched the box, as if holding a priceless treasure, carefully placed it on the table, and then slowly opened it.

"Don't look at that thing. My father has been reading it for twenty years, and I have read it for seven years, but I haven't understood it. Do you think you can understand it?" Nicole said coldly.

"What is this what you took? What is this?" Roddy was curious.

Nicole glared at her eyes and suddenly waved her sleeves. Roddy immediately flew out like a sandbag thrown out and smashed into the corner.

Nicole glanced at Roddy coldly and said lightly: "You forgot! I said that when you talk to me, you must call me the master! Now! Come here! Don't pretend to be dead, I know you are very thick and you can't hurt you if you fall!"

Roddy stood up from the ground with a humming hum, but didn't dare to say another word, but couldn't help but curse in her heart: Why is it so fierce! One day, I will... humming hum... But, why is she so beautiful when she is fierce? Alas...
