Chapter 166 The Last Confession(1/2)

"Madam, there are some words in the book, if they are caught out by someone who is interested, they may be said to be slanderous. Can outsiders read it..."

Yang Chang, who was timid and afraid of things, was a little reluctant to Ren Hong's request to read the "Letter of the Taishi Gong".

Sima Ying had his own idea: "The parts that should be deleted, such as Xiaojing and the original record of the late emperor, were long ago been read by Emperor Xiaowu, and they were pirated in anger, so the two records were recorded but not written. After my father wrote the book, he was afraid that he would be destroyed by the ruler, so he asked me to copy the original copy and leave it in the capital."

This book is Sima Tan. Sima Qian and two generations collected information and completed it independently. It is a private history. It is not like many official histories in later generations, which were officially organized and compiled into a book.

Therefore, its ownership was decided by Sima Qian himself, and this is the only two "Letters of the Taishi Gong" in the world.

"Then Liu De, the sect master, has always liked Mr. Huang, and has visited my house several times to seek observations on biographies of Han Fei and Lao Tzu? Since the Marquis of Xi'an was a family friend, he read the letter from his father to Ren An, and what's wrong with him when he entered the pavilion to look at him?"

After all, the book belongs to the Sima family, and Yang Chang's objection was invalid. After getting his mother's permission, Yang Yun took Ren Hong to the backyard.

Yang Yun was a little confused: "Why did the Marquis of Xi'an want to see his grandfather's last works?"

Ren Hong's answer made him unable to find fault.

"Reading history makes people realize their ambitions. I have heard that Taishi Gong describes historical events from Huangdi to Taichu and have been longing for thousands of years."

Yang Yun did not comment and took Ren Hong to a house outside where several buckets were placed at any time and anywhere. He opened the locked door with the only key he carried with him.

There was no dust or dust inside. Although Yang Yun looked out of tune, he had come to clean the room every day since he was ten years old. This ugly child who had been too smart since childhood was always out of place with the outside world. Only the words of his grandfather could make him feel like he had found a confidant.

What appeared in front of Ren Hong was a bookshelves set up on three walls, with piles of bamboo slips placed slowly on them, filling the entire house.

Ren Hong, who had been a minor official, knew the most. A piece of simplified characters could be written about 30 words. Therefore, when Dongfang Shuo was attending the Golden Horse Gate, he used 3,000 bamboo abbreviations to write a resume, and wrote a full 100 volumes, about 100,000 words. He only needed two people to carry it over to Emperor Wu of Han.

And how many words are written in "The Book of Taishi Gong"?

Yang Yun had already read every volume many times and introduced it proudly:

"My grandfather has collected old news about the world's resignation, and has a brief examination of his actions, and has summarized the beginning and end, and has examined the success and failure of his success and failure. He has planned Xuanyuan, and as for the Taichu period of Xiaowu, it is ten charts, twelve chapters of the general records, eight chapters of books, thirty families, seventy biographies, and thirty chapters. A total of 526,500 words!"

That is, there are more than 500 rolls of bamboo slips, what does it mean to be full of magnificent? That's it!

In later generations with explosive information, more than 500,000 were pediatrics, but in the Han Dynasty, like Dongfang Shuo, the book and "The Art of War" that he read from childhood to adulthood, combined with 400,000 words, was already the "five carts of learning".

What's more, in these 500,000 words, almost every volume is a classic that can be passed down into Chinese textbooks.

Ren Hong picked up the first volume on the right, but it was "The Annals of the Five Emperors", which was the volume that laid the foundation for the Chinese people's "descendants of Yan and Huang".

So he took the bamboo slips and sat down to the desk in the middle of the house very carefully, and then looked at it with relish.

"Mr. Xi'an, you are..."

Ren Hong raised his head: "Didn't Mrs. Yang ask me to regard this as my own home? Ziyou doesn't have to worry about me. When your kitchen is cooked, I will go out when I smell the fragrance."

Ren Hong completely forgot that Han Gandang was still hungry at his house!

Yang Yun was stunned at first, then laughed. Not only was he not annoyed, but he was very happy. He walked up and opened the window for Ren Hong himself, allowing the light outside to shine in.

"Marty Xi'an, you are really a wonderful person! I like it!"

...

From the tenth day of the September 14th day, Ren Hong brought a little lamb to Yang's house to visit him for five consecutive days every morning. After seeing Sima Ying, he plunged into the small bookstore, paying attention to his spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Yang Yun went to see Ren Hong several times, but saw him sitting on the mat, holding the book, sighing, frowning his eyebrows, regretting, or laughing happily.

It's really like myself when I was young.

The first time he saw someone intoxicated in his grandfather's book like himself, Yang Yun was a little moved. He put away his arrogant and crazy behavior outside and took the initiative to pour hot soup for Ren Hong and change the candles.

On the day he was resting, Yang Yun also sat in the room and picked up the book and read it again. When Ren Hong finished reading one volume, he stood up and looked for the book everywhere, Yang Yun could hand him the next volume accurately.

Yang Yun remembers clearly which volume is placed wherever it is placed.

Of course, for Ren Hong himself, this experience is not good at all. It was originally a great atmosphere of Hongxiu Tianxiang's reading at night. When he looked up, he saw an ugly man smiling at him. Who could bear it?

After Yang Yun came out to talk about the scene he saw, the Yang family was very surprised.

Sima Ying was also surprised and said, "I thought the Marquis of Xi'an could only try it out casually and read it casually. Who would have thought that he would read each volume in order?"

In this way, in five days, while Ren Hong was forgetting to eat and eat, he finished reading all the more than 500,000 words that Sima Qian had spent fourteen years writing.

Although he also read the Records of the Grand Historian in his previous life, it was a version that has been passed down for two thousand years and has been lost after many deletions and modifications. It is still somewhat different from the original one.

At that time, things were not about me, I just thought it was just watching a distant story, and I didn’t feel like putting myself in my shoes now.

He was able to write such a masterpiece with one person, writing the legendary Five Emperors era to modern times, for three thousand years, and truly achieved the interrogation of heaven and man, and understand the changes of ancient and modern times!

However, there are also problems. Thanks to the two fires added by Emperor Qin Shi Huang and Xiang Yu, many historical materials from the Three Dynasties and the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period were gone. Sima Qian could only reliably relied on sporadic fragments and the Warring States Period's words, so there were many mistakes and omissions.

It is common to make mistakes in the chronological period and even Qi, and the King of Wei is reversed. This is impossible. He did not have the opportunity to see the bamboo book annals unearthed in the Jin Dynasty.

Because the seven heroes of the Warring States Period were in chaos, I scolded you Qin Rong and you scolded me Chu Man, so many statements conflicted with each other.

Faced with historical materials with great differences, Sima Qian probably felt that different statements were possible, and only took one feeling was a pity, so he let them exist in different biographies and handed them over to future generations for judgment.

So Ren Hongneng saw two statements about Qin Shihuang's life experience above. His mother has two records: the daughter of the rich family in Handan and the dancer Lu Buwei. Emperor Qin Shihuang was regarded as the illegitimate son of the Lü family in "The Biography of Lu Buwei", and became the biological son of King Zhuangxiang of Qin in "The Biography of Qin Shihuang". Different biographies are in conflict, and it is also a question of how the sand dunes of Zhao Gao and Li Si are secretly talking about how to leak out.

The most exciting part of the whole text is the battle between Chu and Han, Chen Sheng and Wu Guang's daring to sing for the world, the thrilling Hongmen Banquet is like the Gaixia End at the end of the epic, all of which are famous works. Metaphors and generals appear one after another, and Sima Qian's few strokes can outline their distinctive images.

Thanks to the "Chun and Han Spring and Autumn" left by Lu Jia and the personal visits of Sima Qian to the children of the founding heroes, the magnificent chapter was restored.

The only regret is that Sima Qian is a literati after all, and he really doesn't understand the war at all. He skips through every battle and writes it with no passion.

This is far inferior to "Zuo Zhuan". Regardless of whether Zuo Zhuan is a biography of the Spring and Autumn Period or a fake book, the author has definitely observed the war personally, making people feel immersive.

However, Sima Qian really did not boast about Xiang Yu. Xiang Yu had the courage of Xiang Ji in the original script, but he also remembered many problems such as his massacre of the city and his conceit, and his rise and fall were all reasons.

If you only see half and ignore the other half, you will say that the author is biased.

That's not Sima Qian's problem.

It is a problem for the history readers.

The conscience of historians exists in books. It is neither false nor concealed by evil, and is obeyed by his good deeds. It has the talent of a good historian, which can be called a real record.

When he was tired of studying, Ren Hong stood up and moved in this small house to stretch his body. This place is really small. The record of the grandfather, which was regarded as the first of the twenty-four histories in the later generations, is now left to the shelves and is difficult to spread.

Because the most controversial part of the book is the record of Xiaojing and Xiaowu Dynasty. It was these two articles that angered Emperor Wu of Han and caused the deletion of books, which made Sima Qian feel hopeless about the fate of this book, and specially divided the original and dungeons to collect them.

Does Ren Hongneng, who came from later generations, understand it? He knows it best.

It is difficult for people to objectively view history within a hundred years, and Sima Qian himself cannot do it. Especially when writing General Li's biographies, he brought in a strong subjective emotion and made a frustration for Li Guang.

But Shigong himself said that this was originally the "one-one-one word" written by him alone.

What's more, he also truthfully recorded Li Guang's side of being petty and defeated repeatedly.

Sima Qian was not targeting Wei Huo, but those who were incompetent and talented but were in high positions because of nepotism.

Li Guangli is talking about you!

There are many other things involving Jing and Wu dynasties that cannot be written in a straightforward manner, but can only be vague. This is Sima Qian's choice after experiencing the disaster of Li Ling. These unfinished words implied in "sage, no, no" are only left to the "sages and gentlemen" of later generations to explore.

His prudence makes sense. Historical records were not understood for a long time and regarded as "slanderous book".

Later generations Ban Biao criticized Sima Qian in this way: "Also the right and wrong are quite correct than those of the sages; when talking about the great way, we should first Huang Lao and then the Six Classics, and when we were prefaced, we should retreat to the wise and heroes, and when we talk about the wealth, we should respect the profit and shame the poor and humble, which is what we hide."

In Ren Hong's opinion, these words of denying Sima Qian are actually praises!

Sima Qian was the last historian who was not brainwashed by the Six Classics, so this book is actually the last work in the era of Zixue.

Not only did he remember the genealogy of emperors and generals, but he also wrote the national history of the unified countries such as the Southwest Yi, the Xiongnu, and the North Korean Yue. Sima Qian personally visited the world and conducted field investigations. As a entourage, he went deep into the southwest, knew the mountains, rivers and humanities, and understood the basis of all this.

It is a farmer, a Yu, a businessman, and a lot of people. For this reason, I wrote the "Biography of Merchant and Breeding" as the last article of the biographies.

Ren Hong couldn't help but praise: "Five Emperors of Yan and Huang, and ended with Nongyu Industry and Commerce and the world's business, with a beginning and a end."

This idea really made Ren Hong amazed.

It is both large and complete, and small and exquisite. Many chapters in Han Shu are basically taken directly from the Records of the Grand Historian, without any change, because this guy's writing is so good and his writing is amazing, and it is so difficult to modify a word.

Time, only time can cleanse all sensitive words, make things that cannot be said become uttered, and make people become objective without preconceived emotions.

Let a slanderous book that thousands of people point to eventually become official history and obtain its due historical status.

Good things can withstand the test of time. Whether it is writing or historical view, Shi Qian has stood at the highest point of feudal history books for two thousand years since the beginning.

In the future, generations are worse than those of the previous generation. Ren Hong dared to say that the remaining private goods in the twenty-three history will only be more than Sima Qian, not less than him. Even Ban's family adhered to the Six Classics and criticized many people from the moral high ground.

Looking at the past two thousand years, the Records of the Grand Historian, the founder of the Chronicle style, is the only historical book that has become popular. With many viewers, it is destined to be examined by countless people.

People expect it to be perfect.

That's why I feel indignant of its imperfection. Those who are extreme want to denounce it as "".

In fact, there is no need to blame a historian two thousand years ago, and he must reach the height of modern materialist historical view.

If you really take away those literary words, plump portraits, interesting stories, and write them into a straight documentary, you will probably say:

"I won't look at it too long!"

...

"Oh, this is gone? I hate it."

On September 14th, after reading the last volume of "The Preface to the Taishi Gong", there were no more chapters on the bookshelf that he had never read.

Ren Hong couldn't help feeling lost.

Taking the second year of Tianhan as the boundary, Sima Qian's life was divided into two sections. He was willful and straightforward before, but was taciturn afterward.
