Chapter 551 Golden Wheel Dharma King

The calendar of the body poisoning is very different from that of the Central Plains. The fifteenth day of the first lunar month is the beginning of the year, and the year is divided into six seasons: gradually hot, hot, rainy, lush, cold, and severe cold.

Zhu Shaosun was ordered by Yang Yun and headed south in September of the third year of Liuhe (49 BC). It was exactly the time to get colder, corresponding to the "Mogashiro Moon" in the poisonous month, and the weather was not so hot. After leaving Batie City, he had to take a long way to land at first, Gao Wutong also asked Chu Shaosun thoughtfully:

"Sir, do you want to ride an elephant?"

As he said that, he still owe an elephant to come over. Chu Shaosun's hometown, Pei County, went south, near Sishui, and even ran out of the forest to destroy people's land and houses. However, such a thing happened once in ten years. Elephants were rarely seen in the Central Plains, and they had to enter the Jingyang realm, but they were not as docile as poisonous elephants.

Chu Shaosun did not dare to ride, for fear that the beast would start to rush over him to the ground, so he rode the same car with Gao Wutong. On the way, Gao Wutong told him that although elephants are easy to tame and can even be used to plow the fields, they are not easy to match on the battlefield.

"When I went south to attack Wuyi Mountain and left the country, I encountered a large number of elephant soldiers. The elephant was covered with armor and sharp barbs on the teeth. Three people sat on it, one of them was driving, and two people were arched. The cavalry general asked someone to drive mules, and the donkey was impatient to intimidate the elephant soldiers. As a result, one elephant rushed wildly. My horse was frightened and threw me off, and almost buried under the elephant's legs. It was thanks to Zhang Zizhai who was guilty and threw a spear and led the elephant to chase him, so I was able to survive."

Gao Wutong also said that there are many people in the army nowadays. Among the Kshatriya caste, there is a group of soldiers who specialize in warriors, Xiaoxiong, whose son and father passed on their careers. They have never been engaged in production since childhood and specialize in fighting military skills. They live in palaces, huts, Zhouwei, and marching in battle. So the cavalry were selected from the subway people, and the soldiers were selected from the poison people, and the Han people served as officers.

He commented: "Although the poisonous soldiers are called Xiaoxiong, who is fancy and fancy when dancing with swords, they are actually the most useless. Two rounds of crossbows will be defeated. In war, they still have to rely on the subway soldiers and the Han people."

Similarly, small countries that are divided into small countries, such as Zhongshen Du and Xishen Du, are also in such an army. No wonder General Cavalry sends a captain to lead thousands of people, and can defeat the states and surrender.

After walking for a few days, I left the Bin Road and entered the "Nanxia Road". Here I was called Punjab. In the past, there were many city-states after the Great Xia Kingdom moved south. Half of the city had been distributed to the "Guanxi Marquis", and the other half was the Greeks as the city lords, paying a high protection fee every year.

Chu Shaosun saw that the city on this land had quite distinctive buildings, including Greek-style pillars in the Great Xia, as well as the local gods, and the Persian rest-style artifacts. Now there are Han houses and Wuzhu coins circulating on the market. The four major cultures are mixed with Punjab and the developed commerce. I don’t know what kind of fruit will be integrated in the future.

As the land itinerary reaches here, you can see the wide and magnificent water flowing southward, and all rivers in the north converge here, but the water is eased. Because the place is southward and has a similar climate to the Jianghuai area in the Central Plains, it does not freeze and can sail all year round.

After sailing south for two days, I entered Mount Wugo, which is also called Xinde Dao. Xinde and Zhendu agree. Although it was late autumn, Chu Shaosun wore a thick dress and woke up, he felt sweaty. The heat was hot here, and tropical rainforests had appeared on both sides of the shore. Lions were in groups in the jungles on both sides, and huge rhinos were drinking water by the river. They were not afraid of seeing people.

One day, near the right bank of the Sindu River, Chu Shaosun also saw an abandoned city located in the jungle. It is strange that the vegetation is dense and not yellow all year round. However, there is no grass around the city, but there is no one inhabited.

When Chu Shaosun asked, he realized that this place was called "Mohenzodaro", which the locals called "Dead Hill".

"The Brahmins said that this is a city of evil ghosts and the residence of the devil. After their ancestors came in, they drove them away and killed them, and the city became deserted."

Chu Shaosun looked at the ruins gradually moving away and wrote a stroke on his journey note.

The next day, when passing by a small town on the verge of the Yandu River and a pier, Gao Wutong asked the boat to dock: "Mr. Chu, this is the city I call Zhang Hushou."

Zhang Hunshu is the bravest and killing one of the Taoyu workers. He killed many prisoners every time. The General of the Cavalry reported to the Guannei Marquis in the court and gave him another city.

"This place was originally called Pitampo Bula. Zhang was suspected of being difficult to speak, so he changed his name to Zhangjiabao."

OK, catchy, good name!

Chu Shaosun saw that in addition to the city standing on the hills in the distance, there were dozens of miles beside the Du River, and there were thousands of households living in this house in the ponds. Most of these people were Shudra and even the cheaper "untouchables" that could not enter the city. The Sindh area was ripe for two years, and now it was a slack farm, but they still fished and cut reeds in the river, and had no chance to rest. They were barefoot and were not allowed to wear shoes barefoot. Vaishya and the Serb Kshatriya were supervising their work as supervisors.

Seeing the ship docking, Chu Shaosun and others came ashore in a gorgeous dress. When they entered the city, the poisonous people did not need to be reminded, and they saluted them one after another.

"There are nine different etiquettes in the body poisoning. The lower caste must perform great rituals when seeing the higher caste. The General of the Cavalry made an agreement with the Brahmin that the untouchables should prostrate themselves when seeing Zhendan, and the Shudra must hold hands and knees when seeing Zhendan. The Vaishya must bend their knees, and the Kshatriya must put their hands and knees together, and the Brahmins only need to bow their heads to show their respect."

Ren Cavalry did not mean to change this system at all, but instead recognized and strengthened it. Gao Wutong also enjoyed this treatment and walked over with her head high.

It seems that the rules of Zhangjiabao are quite strict. In Chu Shaosun's imagination, Gao Wutong often mentioned that Zhang Hushou must be a vicious warrior with a big and round waist. How many heads do you have to cut down and make great achievements to become the city lord.

But when he arrived in the city, he met Zhang Hushu and his family to greet him, but he saw that he was a sick yellow-faced man. Not to mention how brave and killing he was, now he was tortured by illness and his voice was weak. He was very happy to see Gao Wutong, but shed tears and held his hand and said:

"I fell seriously ill in summer, and I thought I couldn't see Brother Gao."

The two sighed for a while and came to see Chu Shaosun again. They heard that he was the disciple of General Cavalry and had studied Zuo Zhuan. Zhang Hushu was also very respectful and did not look down on scholars at all. After the invitation to enter the city, he asked someone to kill pigs and sheep to entertain him, and the banquet was more abundant than Gao Wutong's family.

But there is a rare wheat and millet, and the staple food is rice. Chu Shaosun is not used to it. He grew up eating millet. After coming to the Western Regions, he barely accepted wheat cakes. He chose rice rice only if he had no choice.

Chu Shaosun saw that the case table of him and Gao Wutong was filled with meat, but there was only a small bowl of rice porridge with green vegetable leaves floating on Zhang Hushu's case table. He couldn't help but wonder. He thought that Zhang Hushu was ill and had no appetite. Later he explained the reason.

"Shame."

"I have not killed animals and eaten meat for many years."

Zhang Hushu clasped his hands together, his face full of flesh and smiled: "I believe in Futu, eat vegetarian food!"

...

"Zhang Hunshu was not like this in the past. He was a famous villain."

"When working as a jade pawn worker, for no reason, he used a stone to kill the old monk Futu who delivered food to us. When he was trying to kill Jubin and Wuyi Mountain, he followed Zhao Dugu in the river to slaughter the city and killed prisoners. Now, among the Guanxi Marquis, he is guilty of the most loyal belief in Futu."

Hearing this, more than one believer?

"But I heard that worshiping Buddha is contrary to worshiping ancestors." Chu Shaosun didn't know much about this kind of sect. When he was in Batie City, he also visited the nearby Futu Temple, also known as Jialan Temple. Just by looking at the senses, his first impression was much better than that of Brahmin Temple.

Gao Wutong smiled and said, "We are originally a jade craftsman, and we left our hometown. How many of them are thinking of our ancestors? Most of them can't count them after counting three generations. However, most of the Han people who believed in the Buddha lived in the Fade Dao. Do you know why?"

"The local pagoda is more prosperous than the north?"

Gao Wutong shook her head: "Otherwise, like the husband of the Han Dynasty, Jing Yang died young, the place of faith is hot, it's okay to be winter now, it's getting hotter, the heat is getting hot, the rainy season, and the Maoshi are simply incapable of waiting for the four local seasons."

Most of the Han Chinese immigrants from the north often did not adapt to the environment and the land was shrouded in summer and autumn. Various diseases took the lives of many veterans, and the casualties were much greater than those in wars.

The doctors under General Cavalry are scarce. Although he has been cheating and deceiving doctors from the Central Plains and is also developing medicines to fight against malaria and other diseases, it is really a drop in the bucket.

Gao Wutong pointed to Zhang Hushu, who was worshiping devoutly in Jialan Temple in the city and said, "Zhang Hushu had three sons and two daughters in the past ten years. He died of illness and four of them, and now only one daughter is left. He was the one who killed the enemy without blinking, but when his most beloved children died, he cried and bleeding from his eyes. Thinking about the past, he felt that the murder was too heavy and that he had killed the innocent old novice monk, which caused this disaster."

"So, when he saw that Futu Temple was going to plunder gold and silver objects, he actually restored the temple in the city. There was a novice monk named Libiao who could speak Chinese and had herbal remedies that could cure local epidemics, which saved his little girl. Zhang Hunshu followed Libiao to believe in Futu, became a layman, and took him to Batie City to pay homage to General Cavalry..."

Chu Shaosun was interested, and he had never heard Yang Yun mention this matter: "Why did the monk Le want to persuade the General of the Cavalry to believe in Futu?"

Gao Wutong was not very clear about this, so Chu Shaosun got close to Zhang Hushou and found out the result of this incident.

"The monk Le talked about Buddhism with General Cavalry, but General Cavalry didn't want to hear it very much, so he yawned."

Zhang Hushu's anger disappeared a lot. He spoke slowly. After becoming rich and powerful, he experienced the death of his four children. He seemed a little discouraged. He lost interest in the things in this world. Instead, he had high hopes for the "next life". He believed in the tricks promoted by the monks, hoping that he and his children would not join the beast path.

"Bhikkhu Le talked about the poisonous King Wuyou, and the Milan King of the Southern Daxia Kingdom, who first killed and conquered the Buddha, and then believed in the Buddha's teachings, and eventually became the Wheel-turning Holy King of the Dharma Protector.

It seems that the poisonous man is also persuading the cavalry to be king, and Chu Shaosun was shocked.

However, although Zhang Hunshu believed in the next thing, he was very utilitarian and had no wisdom, so he could not explain the profound things at all. So Chu Shaosun could only ask about this matter with the disciple of Libiao, Libiao, in Jialan Temple in the city before leaving.

Funa also spoke very well in Chinese. He did not miss any opportunity to preach. He heard that Chu Shaosun was a "high official" from the Central Plains, so he said respectfully: "On that day, my teacher said that if the General of the Cavalry imitated King Wuyou and King Milan, he would have the seven treasures and four virtues and would also become the King of Wheels."

He explained: "The so-called seven treasures are wheel treasures, elephant treasures, horse treasures, girls treasures, Ruyi treasures, minister treasures, and military treasures. The four virtues refer to great wealth, good deeds, no diseases, and longevity."

There are more than one type of wheel-turning king in Buddhism, including four types: Golden Wheel King, Silver Wheel King, Copper Wheel King, and Iron Wheel King. The gold wheel is the best, silver turns into the best, copper wheel is the middle grade, and iron wheel is the lowest grade.

Funaqi said: "The Venerable said that King Wuyou is the Holy King of the Iron Wheel Guardian, King Milan is the Holy King of the Bronze Wheel Guardian, and General Cavalry may be the Holy King of the Silver Wheel Guardian."

His eyes flashed with confusion: "Then General Cavalry laughed and said, 'Can't I be the King of Golden Wheels?'"

"The Venerable said that the Holy King of the Golden Wheel Protector is the most noble king, who manages the four continents of the world. When he appears, the Ueda will bloom in the world."

"If you want to become the Holy King of Golden Wheel, the General of the Cavalry must first become a Buddhist layman, keep the precepts, recite scriptures, chant mantras, build pagodas, and statues, and offer lamps with an altruistic heart in front of the Buddha. You must also rule the world with the right Dharma, and teach the people not to kill, steal, commit adultery, do not slander, do not speak irresolutely, do not speak frivolously, do not speak frivolously, do not greedy, do not jealous, and do not have evil views."

This is even more difficult than the three generations of governance.

Then Ren Piqi politely asked Master and disciple Le to leave, and just sighed to Zhang Hushou, and never summoned him again.

Gao Wutong told Chu Shaosun: "The General of the Cavalry was mostly disliked by Futu. He asked Gong Yang to send a message to the county magistrates, county magistrates and chiefs of various departments that if anyone who believes in Futu could hand over the official seal and go home. This is a ban. Only Zhang Hunshu had already obtained a fief and did not care about those who did not serve in the Protectorate's Office. The general was still thinking about his hard work, otherwise he would even take the city."

Although the General of the Cavalry did not become a lay Buddhist, he did improve the situation of the Buddha, allowing them to relocate into Batie City, choose the opposite gate of Brahmin Temple, and let the monk Le build a small temple.

Therefore, there is no need for General Cavalry to instigate the monks of the Buddha and the Brahmins to compete in the arena every day, revealing each other's old scandals, which is very lively.

As for the south, they neither encouraged nor suppressed them, and only allowed them to maintain a state of competing with the Brahmins. The Dharma of Physalmology has experienced two major divisions. In addition to the Theravada and the Mass, the two sects have divided eighteen sects, each setting up its own branches, and various debates are like waves.

"The general probably wanted to disturb each other by a different theory? The Brahmins were powerful, so they used the Buddha to restrain them." Chu Shaosun guessed so much.

In Yang Yun's biography of body poisoning, he knew that King Wuyou almost unified the body poisoning two hundred years ago, and his country was called Peacock and promoted Buddhism. The Peacock Dynasty was later destroyed by his generals, and a Xunjia Dynasty was built, which strongly supported the Brahmanism and destroyed the Buddhist temple. Now the Xunjia Dynasty was also destroyed by its generals, and the Ganba Dynasty was replaced by the Ganba Dynasty, but the land was only in the corner of the body poisoning, and there were many small countries around it.

Chu Shaosun recorded this incident in his travel notes. The next day, he bid farewell to Zhang Hunshu and continued to sail south. It was already October winter, which was the "Sand Moon" of the body poisoning, but he did not feel the weather was cold. As the Zhendu River became wider and wider, the number of ships gradually increased. The largest port in the Protectorate's Mansion: Taibai Port is right in front.

Chu Shaosun seemed to smell the sea, while Gao Wutong held the boat gang and pointed to the front and said, "Mr. Chu knows that this port was not originally called Taibai."

"Patala is called "Patara" (Karachi, Pakistan's largest city)."

"And the people of Daxia call it 'Yalishan Dagang'!"

...

"Yalishanda, this is the name of the conquering king who once conquered Lixuan, Persia, Daxia, and almost unify the West in "Biography of Great Xia", right?"

Yape is a specialty of Changshan, Jizhou. Taishi Gong praised the existence of thousands of pears there.

But how could this name be used in the Greek king who was called the "Conquest King" by Ren Cavalry? Or was it because Yali Shanda also liked to eat Yali?

Chu Shaosun only felt that the translation was weird and couldn't tell anything wrong. However, this person, Yalishan, had a habit, which was that he liked to build cities with the same name as him in various places he conquered.

For example, Kuzhan is "the Greater Yalishan Daria in the extreme east". There is a "the Greater Yalishan Daria in the Great Yuezhi area". Because the Greeks called Pamir Pamir the Caucasus Mountains. The same is true for this poisonous river at the mouth of the sea. I also heard that the capital of Ptolemy Egypt on the other side of the sea is also called the Greater Yalishan Daria.

The tall water gate of the port was in sight, but the ship did not go downstream. Instead, it stopped in a small town with gardens and pavilions outside the city. Although it was not big, it was as magnificent as a palace.

"Where is this?" Chu Shaosun looked around and heard the bustling noise, and a banquet was being held inside.

"This place is called Wuyou Castle. Every winter, General Husband would take his family to patrol the port and live here. Now he lives by Princess Zhaosu."

Princess Zhaosu is the daughter of General Cavalry. The princess of Chu loves this granddaughter the most, and Empress Xu likes her too. I heard that she wanted to marry the crown prince and get married to Liu Renzhi, but she still failed in the end. Princess Zhaosu came to reunite with her parents, but Chu Shaosun didn't know what happened next.

"We want to pay homage to the princess first?" Chu Shaosun Qi was over.

"Mr. Chu really doesn't know? Captain Chen lives here too."

Gao Wutong laughed silently and forgot to mention this to him: "Since Chen Tang was poisoned, Chen Tang has made many great achievements and dared to fight and fight. He has been loved by General Cavalry and has been promoted repeatedly. The general claims to be the former wave, while Tang is the latter wave. After the princess came to the west, she also took a fancy to Chen Tang, and General Cavalry made Princess Yang marry, which became this story."

"Therefore, Chen Tang was not only the Houlang Captain, but also the General of the Cavalry, who loved his son-in-law!"

Gao Wutong couldn't help but sigh: "No wonder Princess Zhaosu fell in love with Chen Tang. Her body was as vicious as me and Zhang Huo's guilty, with a black face and a stupid mouth. Among the lieutenants and the Marquis of Guanxi, Chen Tang was the only one who read a lot of books and was well-versed in literature. He could talk about poetry and scriptures with the princess."

Chu Shaosun suddenly realized that Gao Wutong's complaints stopped. They had already entered the "palace". After showing the talisman, the two followed the poison butler with a large cloth strip on their heads into the courtyard.

As soon as I entered, I saw a young couple standing in the middle of the courtyard. Princess Zhaosu, who was only about twenty years old, was wearing a slim figure, holding an arrow in one hand, and preparing to throw a pot with her toes. She actually hit it!

A white-faced captain who looked about thirty and looked more like a scholar was smiling and applauded with his hands behind his back.

"Madam!"

For some reason, Chu Shaosun always felt that this scene seemed familiar!
