Chapter 9: Murder and Despair (Part 1)

Chapter 9: Killing and Death

Seeing that the other party rushed over again, Dick raised his dagger and rushed towards the swordsman regardless of the injuries on his body. Even though the other party did not use the sword energy, the sword still knocked Dick's dagger into the air. Dick's wrist was bleeding, and he didn't know if it hurt his muscles or bones.

With such an obstacle, Salin's spell had been recited. A rich green light lit up in his hand, and a white line broke through the air and headed straight for the swordsman's face.

The swordsman barely raised his sword, and the steel sword broke with a click. The ice cone penetrated his head and exploded behind him. The cold aura scattered everywhere, and the young nobleman was stunned.

The green light in Salin's hand did not dissipate, and the second ice cone shot out more quickly. The noble young man opened his mouth and looked at the hole that was big on his chest, and suddenly fell down.

"stop!"

The familiar voice sounded, it was too late, the heart of the young nobleman was broken, and the gods could not save him. Salin felt someone approaching behind him, and Dick fell to the ground, struggling to get up, but he couldn't do anything.

Salin turned around and a green light lit up on his fingers again, but this time it was not an ice cone technique, so it was too late. Salin could only quickly prepare for the acid sputtering, but was not sure to block the people close behind him.

The sharp whistling sound approached, and Salin's wrist was hit hard, and the magic dissipated instantly. The visitor pinched Salin's shoulder, and Salin felt the muscles in his body hurt.

"Follow me."

Only then did Salin see clearly that the person who caught him was Ulysses, the swordsman from the City Lord's Mansion.

After the battle, Salin severely injured three swordsmen, and the crowds of the parade were in chaos. Ulysses kicked Dick on the waist, and Dick crawled up with a muffled groan and looked at Ulysses.

Ulysses glanced at him coldly, then glanced at the three injured swordsmen on the ground, pulled Salin away. Dick was sweating all over, and he understood what Ulysses meant at once.

Take out the second dagger from his arms, Dick endured the pain and added another knife to the neck of the three injured swordsmen, then chased Ulysses in the direction he left.

Ulysses took Salin into a dark alley and then let go. He spoke and said, "Sallin, you're in trouble."

"Who is that person?" Salin reluctantly calmed down and asked in a low voice. At this time, Dick had already stumbled into the alley and came to Salin.

Ulysses looked at Salin's changed appearance and quickly considered what to do. Soon, he made a decision and said to Salin: "He is the son of Count Su Fangsuo, Yaoyang City. You are about to leave the city, your teacher can't protect you. Buy a horse, the farther you run, the better."

Salin felt like he was hit hard, and he killed the Count's son, or the Count of Yaoyang City. Yaoyang City is the largest city in a radius of thousands of miles. Earl Su Fangsuo holds heavy troops in his hand. The worst thing is that there is a magic tower outside Yaoyang City, where a level 6 magician sits in his hands.

Although this level six magician cannot kill people for the count, his teacher cannot protect him, otherwise it would be like provoking another high-level magician.

Salin was in a state of confusion and could not accept this fact. He was about to get on the right track and began to practice real magic, but suddenly caused such a big trouble.

Yaoyang City is not a small place like Ceylon City. There are so many swordsmen there, and at least a few hundred people reaching the level of a swordsman. Although he killed a junior swordsman just now, it was just right for him to master it, and the other party died very awkwardly. Ulysses is also a junior swordsman, and he subdued himself in one move.

Dick knelt down with a thud, lowered his head and said, "Sarin, I'm sorry."

Ulysses suddenly drew his sword, and wanted to silence him. He wanted to kill the thief just now, but he wanted to escape from the scene, so he had to let the thief deal with the funeral.

Salin reached out to stop Ulysses and said, "This is my friend, I believe him."

Dick leaned on the ground and looked at Salin for a long time and refused to get up. He resisted the urge to cry. Salin said that he was a friend. Since childhood, no one had seen him directly, except for Salin. After Salin became a student of the magician, he thought that Salin had become like the people in Ceylon City. Now Salin not only prevented the swordsman from silence, but also said that he was his friend.

For many people, the word "friend" is used to betrayal. But for another type of person, friends are people who can give up their lives.

"You go, you can't blame you for this. I'm impulsive." Salin said, and bowed to Ulysses, saying, "I don't know why you are willing to let me go. One day, I will come back to thank you. You go and tell Lord Viscount that I took his money but couldn't do anything. I'm sorry for him. I won't let his money be spent in vain. I'll leave now, where are you?"

"Count Su Fangsuo is visiting the City Lord's Mansion. The faster you leave, the better. I'll go back and report your murder. But your appearance has changed now. I will only talk about your previous appearance. No one in the mansion knows it. Before you leave, let me do it."

Ulysses pointed at his arm. Salin knew that he could not delay and gritted his teeth and released an acid sputter. Ulysses groaned, and his arm was burned instantly by the acid, and white smoke rose.

Seeing Ulysses leave, Salin said, "Dick, let's go."

Dick looked up, his face full of guilt. "Sarin, if I were caught, I wouldn't live. I wouldn't say a word about your affairs. If I ran away, I would go to the Empire of Dongulas and never go back to Ceylon."

After Dick finished speaking, he kowtowed heavily on the ground and stood up and left.

Salin pulled out the mask in dismay, covered her face and left the alley. He went straight east and hurriedly escaped from Ceylon City. He rushed back to his ancestral house. Salin stood outside Jason's laboratory, hesitated for a moment, but knocked on the door.

Ulysses slowed down and walked back to the City Lord's Mansion. He accelerated his pace and rushed directly into the living room, shouting: "Sir, something happened!"

Viscount Guge was talking with Earl Su Fangsuo. Seeing Ulysses rushing in with disheveled clothes, his arm was obviously injured. He asked gently without a blame tone: "Ulysses, why are you injured?"

Ulysses fell to his knees, but he was facing Count Su Fangsuo. "Sir, something happened to your son. I went there late and didn't protect him..."

Guge and Su Fangsuo were stunned at the same time. Earl Su Fangsuo was not much older than Guge, and was about forty years old. However, he seemed to be younger than Viscount Guge. Earl Su Fangsuo had a pair of dark eyes, and his pupils seemed to be covered with a layer of water vapor. This was a phenomenon that only after his family practiced sword energy to a certain extent.

When he heard something happened to his son, Count Su Fangsuo instantly burst into a powerful murderous aura. If Ulysses hadn't kneeled, he would have to lie down on his own.

"What's wrong with him?" Earl Su Fangsuo stared at Ulysses tightly, and the water vapor in his eyes became heavier.

"The young master was killed by a magician. When I went there, I happened to see it and also got a magic trick." Ulysses pointed at his arm in fear.

“Where did something happen?”

“The east entrance to Square 12.”

"Take me there." Earl Su Fangsuo stood up, as proud as a mountain.

"grown ups……"

"What's up?"

"I know the murderous magician."

"What did you say?" Earl Su Fangsuo grabbed the void and actually lifted Ulysses up. His black pupils quickly contracted and he stared at Ulysses' eyes.

"Sir, listen to me..."

Ulysses was extremely shocked. Earl Su Fangsuo's sword energy could not only overflow from his body, but could actually control objects. Could it be that he was already a sword saint? He could not have done anything wrong by letting Salin off, right? But the matter has been done, so he could only grit his teeth and persevere to the end. If it is seen through, I am afraid that this matter will be pushed on himself and cannot implicate the ancient geese Viscount.

He tried his best to speed up and talked about the origin of Salin. Earl Su Fangsuo heard that Salin's teacher was a level 5 magician, so he gently put down Ulysses and pondered.

The fifth-level magician is not an opponent. This time, there are not many guards around him. If he really conflicts, he will inevitably suffer losses. But when he goes back to Yaoyang City to invite the great magician to study books, the murderer may have run away long ago. Guge is unwilling to offend a fifth-level magician for himself? If Gugege helps, gather the army and mercenaries of Ceylon City, it is possible to kill the magician.

Viscount Guge had a calm face and was good at calculating. When Ulysses said it, he roughly guessed what was going on. He didn't think that a magic apprentice could escape after killing four swordsmen, but Ulysses had already let go of the man and didn't have to pursue it. Ulysses was selling favors for himself.

He coughed, interrupting Count Su Fangsuo's thoughts and said, "Don't talk about these things, Ulysses, go deal with the scene, Chris, take everyone with you and block the city gates. If you encounter Salin and he resists, kill them directly. Lord Earl, I will accompany you to meet the magician and explain the situation to him."

He said that, but Ulysses had just stated for a long time, and Salin probably had run out of the city. He transferred all his people so he didn't have to directly conflict with the magician. He accompanied the count to meet the magician. After all, the magician lived in Ceylon City for three years, and he had not offended him, so he would not have died.

As for the final result, it's not your business.

"Thank you. Snow, bring our people with me and follow me." Earl Su Fangsuo temporarily suppressed his anger and greeted those who had been standing behind his chair.

The man named Snow looked pale, his eyebrows were a little drooping, his fingernails on his hands were pitch black, his figure was thin, and he was not covered with armor. After hearing Earl Su Fangsuo's words, his body shook and he had disappeared outside the living room.

Senior Assassin! Viscount Gu Ge felt a chill behind his back, and he couldn't say anything wrong with his body.

On the battlefield, assassins may not have much effect, but usually, the lethality of these assassins is terrifying. Fighting alone, swordsmen of the same level are not opponents of assassins at all.

Viscount Guge followed Count Su Fangsuo as if nothing had happened, and was also calculating gains and losses in his heart. If he helped the Count seize Salin, what benefits would he get?

No! The previous few thousand gold coins and the favors Ulysses sold this time will definitely benefit even greater in the future. As long as Salin is not a fool, he will always reward him.

If you really kill Salin, I'm afraid that the magician Jason will expose his resentment on his head. Even if Earl Su Fangsuo has any compensation, it is impossible to bring the magic tower of Yaoyang City over.
