Chapter 83: Blessings Are Unparalleled, Misfortunes Never Come Alone(2/2)

【Do you care about me?】

Vladimir clapped his hands and laughed, "It's great, I like neat people."

They have been living here for several weeks.

Fayette ran to the end of the corridor on the second floor and knocked on the door, reminding: "Guest! Soul Erosion Night is coming early this year, we have to get out of here!"

But at this moment, a towering black cloud and mist like a mountain rising from the ground swallowed up everything, and was surging towards this side, flashing with pure white thunderbolts, and a mixture of blue and green soul-eating light.

"Don't worry about that guy. Women have the most vicious hearts. Maybe she was the one who killed Gladster."

"What?!"

Fayette glanced at the clockwork clock invented by Pilgrim that she bought from the Bilgewater Grocery Market.

"How's it going?"

"Okay, it's already this time, do you still want to fight? Be careful, Fayette will make fun of you later!"

"Soul Erosion Night?" the noble lady murmured in a low voice, then narrowed her eyes slightly and said to Fayette with a smile: "Thank you, wait for me to tidy up, and leave immediately."

"What the hell? Can it scare you like this?" the sailor who had just yelled for a duel with another man said with a sarcastic smile.

While talking, Fayette was rummaging for something under the counter, then stuck out half of her face and shouted into the corridor on the second floor: "Gavin, you stole my rum again!"

Gavin, Cholera, and Vakul pushed through the crowd and ran to the window.

However, as a saying goes: blessings never come in pairs, and misfortunes never come alone.

"I see that we are all on the first floor, and the first mate is alone on the second floor. Whoever is not present might have killed him?"

The disaster tonight is not the only one that Vladimir secretly took action, but is coming one after another!

A cold wind blew into the house through the crack in the door. One of Cholera's sailors shuddered, walked to the window, and took a look outside through the gap in the cover. He was suddenly horrified.

I saw that the four sailboats moored at the pier were all entangled with a kind of black and red chains, like ferocious and thick water snakes, unable to move at all, and even with a sword, they could not be broken.

The sailors ran out of the tavern, untied the ropes and retrieved the anchor.

"It's all included in my room and board expenses!" Gavin responded from upstairs.

"Don't worry, there is no poison in the wine, but the quality is more than a little bit bad." Lunessia said disgustedly, "But, it's just a sip of wine. Don't tell me that you can't drink it. That would be too embarrassing."

Everyone toasted one after another, and finally turned their attention to Josh and Gwen, who did not raise their glasses.

Then, he drank two glasses of wine respectively and put the glasses back on the bar.

"Josh, I think their eyes seem very unfriendly." Gwen stood on tiptoes and whispered into Josh's ear.

Fayette had no choice but to take a new dusty wine bottle, use a corkscrew to pull out the cork, and placed 21 wine cups on the bar, pouring a sip for everyone.

"The situation is not good." Vladimir answered first, "There are no obvious wounds on the first mate's body, but his skin shows signs of being bitten by some insects. I suspect..."

And Gawen trotted to the ancient clock that Josh had placed in the corner of the main hall, rubbed his hands and looked at Josh: "Hey... Benefactor, this is the treasure that the Light Sentinel needs, you..."

But Gawen's excitement didn't last long, as curses from sailors could be heard outside the tavern: "Damn it! Something unclean has locked our ship!"

Seeing Josh nod, Gavin waved and cheered, "Great! I will give you part of the reward!"

Fayette rubbed her eyes, but the lady had already locked the door.

"Who knows this? The lights suddenly went out just now, and I got punched by a fucking bastard! My front teeth were almost knocked out!"

But compared to the first two, they seemed to be more calm and composed, as if they were capable of dealing with the coming Soul-eating Night.

[Finally the clue was revealed.] Lunessia laughed, [This guy must be planning to devour everyone’s treasures!]

"What the hell is this?!" Fayette exclaimed, subconsciously turning her head to look at Josh, "I have never seen this kind of magic before!"

"Ancient forbidden witchcraft, blood magic." Josh glanced at Vladimir lightly, "I think Mr. Vladimir should know a lot about this, right?"
